Dr. Doughty and all of his staff are the best! I found their clinic three years ago during a very traumatic experience. My 6 year old dog couldnt keep anything down and I was concerned about dehydration. Our previous vet told me to just keep giving him his meds and it would go away. So when I called Bluegrass, they knew how urgent it was and got my dog in for an appt within a half hour (even though he had never been to this clinic before). They took all of my concerns seriously and treated my dog like one of their own. They referred us to a specialist and we found out our dog had liver cancer. Throughout his last weeks, Dr. Doughty helped us in every way possible. After all of that he has helped my other dog with her anxiety after she lost her best friend. He took all of my concerns for her seriously and wanted to help. He was also very good at helping me understand things better through a dogs perspective. We have since moved and now drive a half hour to visit this clinic, but I would easily drive twice that distance to come to them. They are all amazing and I owe each and everyone of them so much.

It was time to say goodbye to my dog Jazz, she was just so old and and her body was just shutting down. Since I was on a limited budget, I have to admit, I googled local vets and Bluegrass was the best price. When I got there, I was even more impressed with how I was treated and how great Jazz was treated. I was able to hold her while she was put to sleep, I love that her last memory was hearing me talk to her and knowing I was holding her, petting her. The Doc explained each step of the process and treated Jazz like she was his own dog. I could not have asked for a better experience for such a sad occasion. This is where I will be taking my other dog and any other pets in the future.

I usually never write bad reviews but I went in to have my puppy looked at he had a bad limp for a week and it was 30 minutes before closing on a Saturday and it was kinda of an emergency. I went in a immediately felt like my puppys problem was an inconvenience to their Saturday, I know that an x-ray takes about 15-20 minutes which I was hoping they would do it looked like he sprained something. All they did was walk him around for 5 minutes give me pain pills and charged me 60$. I didnt feel like they wanted to take the time to see what was wrong with him, I just had a bad experience.

Thank you to Dr. Doughty and the staff at Bluegrass Vet Hospital for a stress free visit for me and my dog Jersey. Even though Jersey was only there for his yearly vaccines, Dr. Doughty took time to check his ears, mouth, heart, etc and even asked how our other dog was doing. The attention we were given and the calmness in the office made me think we were there only patient that morning. Then Misty told me they had 3 emergency walk-ins before us. Wow! Thanks for still taking care of our routine needs in a timely and professional manner, especially on such a busy day.

Ive never had my own cat before, and this was my first experience taking my pet to the vet. l staff was super helpful at answering a lot of my questions before I even came in and they were so good with her once we got there! Dr. Doughty was great with my cat and showed me ways to take better care of her and answered all the questions I had. She didnt even fuss when he was vaccinating her. Thanks for being so great to my cat! I will be back!

I took my two dogs to this vet and was very disappointed. I ended up paying $130 just to get there yearly shots, it was supposed to be shots and a checkup but the vet didnt look at there teeth or feel around for anything on top of that he wanted another $60 to draw blood and do a heart worm test on both of them when it SHOULD be included. So if you want your dog to have an actual check up then I suggest going to a different vet!

Eddie has been my family Vet since Mountain View to Blue Grass, like most of his clients/patients it isnt an issue to follow him where ever he goes.( Dont leave Utah though) From my parents to my siblings we all agree the compassion he and his team show towards our families, animal and human is amazing. Four different households with numerous pets hes been with us through them all! Thanks Eddie! Golf seasons here!

I always get good service from this vet....I have sent several people to this vet including my family members....he always tries to help you keep your little babies as long as you can, even if they are having some major issues...no one likes to have to put away their little babies until they have to but when it come that time it is nice to have a kind and understanding vet to see you thru the process....

This is by far the best Veterinary Hospital I have ever been too! The staff is very welcoming and nice when you go in for appointments and dr. doughty is sooo great with my dog. Fast service, you are in and out. It is also nice that the front office is not full of waiting patients when you go in. We have gone to several different vets in the area and this has been our best decision to switch!

Hes simply the best vet youll find in the area, imho. Ive been going to him since he very first came here from the south and practiced in Layton, 16 years or so. Hes compassionate, his prices are fair and hes honest. Hed never do or suggest a procedure that wasnt necessary. My animals can sense he cares for them and trust him. I do, too. Wish I could say the same for other vets.

Best vet in Utah. Staff is wonderful and always willing to help. They are very accommodating to your individual pets needs. They are caring and understanding. I wouldnt go anywhere else. Not the cheapest in town, but you get what you pay for. I wouldnt go to the cheapest people doctor I could find, I would go to the best. Dr. Doughty is the best! Definitely worth the price.

They saved my poodle life with emergency surgery on the spot. They saved my baby Beans life also. My golden has allergies really bad and they always seen to help him. Love this place for the care that they provide. If you want someone to sugar coat your pets needs? This isnt the place for you. Dr Doughy is very honest and truthful..Love everyone here...
