If I didnt have to give them any stars, I wouldnt. We had been going here a few times and they were great. However, they must have new people or have slowly started the "I dont care" moods all around that place. We went in there because it seemed like our dog had a spider bite or something that just would not go away. When the vet took a look at it, she shaved the hair away, pricked it a few times with the needle to get a culture of it, and told us that basically it was an abscess that she wanted to get off as soon as she can because it looked like some type of skin cancer that was starting. So since my dog is like my child, I said go ahead but we needed to talk about payment plans since we were moving from Phoenix to Eugene, OR. They told me that there would be a $50 down payment with a $15 service charge. Completely understandable and definitely affordable, they just wanted it paid off in a year which wasnt going to be a problem at all. We went in for the surgery and all of sudden they wanted half or 3/4 of the payment. When I told them what was told to us, they thought they could bluff me into paying it. At that point I even called my husband to make sure I didnt misunderstand what was originally told to us. So I said no I only had what they had originally told me. Then the vet said oh dont worry its not an emergency at all. So I walked out very mad because on top of all that, the prescription they gave to me for my dog hip dysplaysia was for the completely wrong dog with a lot of its owners information on, and when I got the new one it was the wrong dosage. To put the cherry on top it has been a week since the vet visit and my dog is now sitting here with this lump double the size and it just ruptured. To say these people are unprofessional is an understatement. They just dont care.

I have an orange "rescue" tabby (Bailey) that my son found 12 years ago in a dumpster with one badly infected eye.. While living in California I had the best vet and she informed me that eventually his eye would have to be removed because he couldnt see out of it anyway. I moved to here to Arizona 2 years ago and wasnt looking forward to the day to find a new vet but Goodyear Animal Hospital has the BEST reviews and was recommended by a friend of my sons. Well, my cat does NOT like to be touched or held (very rarely by me in the last 12 years) but I love him anyway. He is a difficult cat to get into the carrier - so I have to take him to have his eye examined - So to the vet I go ---- - OH MY GOSH - the people who worked at Goodyear the BEST and most patient of all. They carried him out of my car for me, took me immediately into a room - the technician spent 20 minutes talking to be about all Baileys problems (psychological as well) and then Dr. Fan comes in and does the same thing - patient, kind, and listened and wasnt in a hurry to get me in and out. The result was that Bailey needed to have his eye removed. The cost was high but they worked with me and he had the surgery yesterday. When I brought him in yesterday they were so good with him and explained every thing they were going to do - and the same when I picked him up - These people love animals and it shows. Believe me when I say I have had some really bad vets and its hard to find a good one - much less a GREAT one. Highly recommend them! They will be my go to vet and for my sons pet as well.

I have been using this Vet office since October 2013 when I moved to the West Valley. I have 3 cats and 2 very old dogs (18 and 16 years old). This is one of the best vet offices I have been to. The front office staff are always really pleasant, and willing to go the extra mile for the client (human or animal). The medical staff is very knowledgeable and take the time to explain everything. Whenever I have take my pets in, the vet has been honest and has NEVER tried to up-sell any services. They always offer the most practical cost effective way to treat the pets. One of my cats was on constant antibiotic eye drops for a chronic condition. I was happy to pay to ensure he was not sick. The vet actually told me about a supplement that we could use that might work. It did, and I get it online for much less. She told me to look online. My two old dogs need the same medication, and the front desk staff did calculations for me to see which format of pills would be the most cost effective. It turned out that getting one larger prescription for one dog (which the two then share) was cheaper than a prescription for each, so that is what they advised and that is what I do. They did not have to, because I would have been none the wiser. However, now (considering these past experiences), I ALWAYS trust what they tell me because I know they are not just trying to make money. This is a wonderful place that I would recommend to anyone. Did I mention they are open 7 days a week and open until 7:00 pm on week days! I love this place.

Being a "new" mom I was inexperienced when dealing with the neuter process. I was given excellent instructions and information. BUT the reason for 4 and not 5 stars is that after surgery when I was concerned about what looked like he still had his gonads. I was not told what this was.(I should have been more specific in my questions) I was only told to and I did apply cold compresses. It would have helped if I was told that, in fact, it was pooled blood in his scrotum. (thanks Google). With the cold compresses the blood began to reabsorb into his system and with time the scrotum is slowly growing smaller. That area is still sensitive for him. However the healing appears to be going well. One thing you must do for your pet is to KEEP them from licking the surgery area. I bought a Kong Cloud collar which is more comfortable than the "cone" that is typically used. He goes back for grooming in 2 weeks. Everyone is friendly and helpful. Possibly too friendly since customers seem to want to carry on a long conversation after they have already dropped off the pet or paid the bill even though other customers are clearly waiting. The front desk personnel do not seem comfortable with ending these conversations. There was a follow up call and when I expressed concern I was told to come back in. They took the stress out of this process. I love the 24 hour service and will recommend Goodyear Animal Hospital to anyone that asks.

This is a terrible vet, if you can even call it that. I brought my not even 4 year old dog in because she was very sick. To make a long story short, the vets there, who didnt really listen to a word that I said they just shook their head and said "uh huh, uh huh", told me that the only way to save her would be with a 5000$ procedure and even that probably wouldnt work so I should just say goodbye and put her down as soon as possible. I love my dog so much that I decided that I couldnt live with myself unless I got a second opinion so I took my dog and left. To make things worse this place called the next vet that I was going to and told THEM to just put her down!!! What? Who does that? I just wanted a chance to have an unbiased second opinion. This is a life of an animal that I love... Dont I at least deserve that? Anyway, I got her the procedure which only cost 1100$ and within 2 days she was back to her old self. She would be dead if I listened to this place. I love my dog, hate this vet. I have since talked to other people that I work with and know and they have similar stories about this place. I dont know if they like to decrease the animal population or what but in my mind they are evil and cold. You would be making a grave mistake taking your animal here for anything but to put them down.
