My last visit was Sept 6,2011 and was my last.I have never been so horrified at a place of business before. Ive been to sayrebrook a few times,i tried giving it a chance and even saw a few doctors but it was never a win for me. First i saw the head vet Dr.Chiosi (if thats how you spell his name) his exam was an exam that i could of done myself at home for free. The second time i went,i saw a Dr.Messina who talked to me like i was an idiot, and when i asked questions she spoke back to me very sarcasticly. the only doctor i liked was Dr.Birmingham, she was so pleasant and understanding, what a vet should be. My second complaint was when i was there for my 2nd time and i was able to hear the staff and doctors through the exam room door,I was completely shocked by the way i heard Dr.Chiosi talking to his staff (had to be him,i believe its the only male dr. there),if i were them i would have walked right out.So disrespectful and needed a good slap across the face,i would never want to work for someone like that after hearing how rude he was. Now on to the waiting room experience...Some of the staff up front were very sweet and helpful, and then their were a few who im surprised have a job, well just one in particular. While waiting to pay on one of my trips, the phone rang and a receptionist answered the phone and i have never heard someone be so rude over the phone,i thought you wanted to MAKE MONEY not push money away. The phone rang again and after she picked up,i heard her say yes ill go in the back and check hold on one second, but she never got up,can you say lazy?she must have been annoyed at the fact the phone was ringing and was cutting into her conversation about bars, which guy she went out with and motorcycles, with one of the other staff members that works in the back who pulled blood from my cat once, which is clearly not something you speak about in front of clients. She has rang me up 2 out of the 3 times ive been there and you can tell that she is not a nice person. I feel bad for the handful of employees who are sweet and very helpful and who are trying to make that place a home away from home.

This complaint is in regards to Dr Joseph R Chiosi who happened to run the practice of Sayrebrook Veterinary Hospital PA I took my rabbit to the vet Dr Joseph R Chiosi at the Sayrebrook veterinary hospital for check up..she had mites. His assistant a young fellow was taken notes before doctor came in i corrected him that misspell the word mites. That should of been a first clue for me that his staff and him ***** well uneducated. When the doctor started checking my bunny he couldnt find the mites till i pointed out to him he went to grab a book to see what kinda mites it is. When i asked him how she could possibly get it he had no answer gave me the book and left the room. Finally according to the book vet injected a shot to my rabbit and said that it will kill all the mites and in less than two hours my rabbit died. He either injected the large amount of medicine or injected the wrong one. When i tried to confirm him he said that he will check and call me back the next day and never did and so his finance assistant Jill. I kindly asked for my money back because my rabbit did not get the correct treatment and died shortly after,he refused it and blamed me for bringing a sick bunny which is not true she was eating well and pretty active before the hospital visit she did have some minor mites problem but it wasnt anything that she can die from . My llionhead rabbit is more than a family to me i love her dearly she didnt have to die if i didnt take her to the hospital she would of still be alive. It just bugles my mind that vets like him still work in the hospital and own a license.

Where do I begin? Around November 2011, my dog suffered a brain aneurysm. the doctors could not tell what was wrong with him, but our family knew what had happened because our family friend is a vet. But that wasnt even the problem. We figured it was time to let our 7 year old Maltese go, so we went to Sayrebrook and asked for our dog. We got to the room and they just plopped him on the table as if he was nothing to us. We told the doctor that we wanted to euthanize him, so he gave us time to say our last good bye to our dying dog. As he approaches the door, I could hear him in the back room saying "Alright, lets do this!" as if it was some kind of fun thing to do! So he entered the room, and I just looked at him with disgust. He injected my dog and my dog slowly died and made his last bark. As we were all crying in the room, one of the most horrible assistant/secretary comes in our room while were all balling our eyes out and asks us "Can you guys pay now? Or You can give me the credit card?" Excuse me?! Have an effin heart, will you? So I finally wiped my tears and paid the stupid girl. I asked her one last thing to do that my mom wanted her to do for my dog. My mom brought a blanket for my dog to be wrapped in, so that when they cremate him, we had something to shelter him without him being cold. Then the girl told me, "Were going to throw it out anyways" Ever since then, I transferred my other dog to Banfield and their assistants and doctor treat my dog with the best care I have ever seen.

DO NOT BRING YOUR PET HERE. "WERE DONE HERE" after my pet was put down...... I had to bring my kitty here, because she got sick Sat night and no other animal hospital was open on Sunday. Unfortunately, there was nothing that could be done for her and she had to be put down. If my kids were not with me i would have punched the vet in his fat face. After he put my cat down he listened to her heart, turned to his assistant and said, "we are done here". As he walked out of the room he said Im sorry. He said it to just say it. His sorry was not believable at all. I understand that this is his job and he must go through this everyday, but he has a heart of ice. The young male assistant and female assistant were extremely nice and concerning about our feelings and i honestly believe they actually care about animals and feelings. If those 2 ran the hospital and were vets i would totally recommend this place. I hope they are considering becoming one. The vet needs to retire, because he is not a people person or a animal person. Ive heard of Ice Queen before, now I have met the Ice King.

READ REVIEWS FIRST!!!! PLEASE DO NOT TAKE YOUR PET TO THIS VET!!!!! My family has been using this vet for over 5 years and i have noticed a steady decline in service. In fact, the last time i was there the place was almost completely empty of customers and i still waited 30 minutes for them to find my pets file. I guess everyone else found replacement vets, and now i am also looking for a new vet. The billing staff are a joke and they should just be happy to be employed these days....but no. The doctor rushed in and left even faster. She (Dr.Luci Terenin) was more concerned about selling me overpriced pet meds (40% markup),that she misdiagnosed my pet.Now my pet is still in pain and discomfort. I felt that my pet did not get a proper exam at all. I waited over an hour total for 5 minutes of exam time. Im done with this place. Do your pet a favor and go to a different vet. Also...there have been cases of accidental deaths. I did not believe this at first but it is true, they killed my friends dog.!!!!!!!!! STAY AWAY FROM THIS VET!!!!!!!!!
