I scheduled a consultation with The Roots Chiropractic due to falling down the stairs onto my tailbone at 31 weeks pregnant. At the consultation they showed me and my husband around, took my $75 dollar payment, insurance information, and did a scan of my spine to detect areas that needed help. Then Dr. Laura told me to come back that night where I would then receive my adjustment and her and her husband would go over my scan. So my husband and I went back at 7pm and sat through Dr. Logans hour long presentation. After his pretension we were taken to a room where Dr. Logan proceeded to show me his "plan" for me, which consisted of 26 visits stretched over a 10 month period totaling $1,700. He then wanted to me to sign that "plan" and agree to those terms. When I told him I wasnt comfortable signing anything (especially being a first time mom not knowing what the year ahead of me is going to look like) he and his wife then came up with a new "plan", but still wanting to lock me into visits and a price. Needless to say, I left without ever getting adjusted and out $75. I understand that they can help people, and Im sure they do. But before ever getting adjusted and seeing how my body took to it, they are already trying to have me locked into terms with them... It just made me feel very uncomfortable. Truthfully, I left there crying because of how uncomfortable they made me feel. Im sure it was due to hormones mainly, but I also couldnt understand why they were so obsessed with making sure I was going to give them my money before ever making sure I was feeling better. Quoting Dr. Logan himself, who was referencing the Dali Lama " ...we take all this time to make money, meanwhile forgetting about our health."

First of all you this is not a place you can go if you are in pain. They will only adjust you if you attend one of their "speeches" that only happens twice a week, where they push you to join a membership program of a year. It doesnt matter if you had seem their speech before, you have to participate again prior to be seen. They do not open on Fridays, you have to fit on their schedule twice Monday to Thursday and you have to go twice a week because they only give 2 adjustments per visit. So, if you work, forget about it. Then if you go home and after talking to other medical field professionals, or reading reviews, decide to cancel your membership (2 days after I joined) - BE CAREFUL. In my case they said they cancelled, after trying hard to convince me not to, but actually I got a enormous amount charged from my card a month later. When I complained, they told me they would refund me but never did. After 5 business days my bank told me it was never refunded and I had to file a claim, which resulted in the cancellation of my card, bank fees, all on my expense and discomfort. This office is way better in Marketing and Sales than treating a condition. I do not recommend. TO BAD THEY HAVE THE LAST WORDS ON MY REVIEW, because I can proof that they did NOT refund their misplaced charge. Im just filling out BOAs fraud paperwork to be able to get the amount back. Now you guys are going to say that Bank if America is lying? My complain is not even about the charge but about the business it self. A pushing membership company.

3/16/17 Im in terrible pain. Have a genetic fusion C3-C4 that acts up now and then. Called Roots for a same day appt. hoping to get an adjustment to relieve my pain. Arrived and received a scripted tour of their facility by 2 different young ladies (stepford wives). Uncomfortable for those who have previously been to a chiropracter. 1st RED FLAG! Then shown to a room where a rolling thermal scan was performed to show them where my issue was. HM! Did I not tell them that when I walked in? Then the Dr walks in to tell me what their treatment plan will be, however, they are out of office for a week (Spring Break) and they only perform treatments 2 days a week. So, I will not be treated today. REALLY???? Then I am charged $45.00 for basically nothing. After calling my insurance company and complaining and also to alert them that I have a chiropractic appointment now somewhere else that same day...they intervene and get Roots to refund my money. So thinking my ordeal is done and over with, today 5/8/17, I receive a call from Laura at Roots stating that I owe them Money. First she says I paid when there and they refunded. Then in the next breath, she says I refused to pay while there and wanted to wait for my insurance to pay their portion. Which is it Laura? At this point I hung up. What a scam. If you need a real chiropractor without all the fancy bells and whistles; one who will really take care of you...I recommend Dr. Kozma who treated me same day and charges less money.

I was very dissapointed with my experience at roots. They were very quick to book my initial appointment and I was excited to get in there and get my pain relieved. I was aware my first appointment would take 45 minutes or more. When I got there is had a VERY lengthy package of paperwork to fill out, then I was brought on the "educational office tour" which was mostly me nodding my head and asking myself when I was going to actually see someone, sorry but I dont really care about your wall of pictures or your random room where members can have parties. Finally I was brought to a patient room and Dr. Logan came in a proceeded to gave me what I can only describe as a Horribly memorized sales pitch about their NASA space technology and fancy equipment that is going to help me over 6-18 months of appointments. After hearing his whole pitch, he exited the room only to return and tell me that my insurance wasnt approved. He then told me about his federal discount program that could "allow them to legally" discount my care. No thanks. I wasted well over an hour of my day off sitting in their office to learn that my insurance wont even cover my care. And honestly after thinking about it Im glad I wasnt approved. Maybe you should have told me that before you wasted my time with a tour of your office. And a less rehearsed approach to your patients and their care would probably work in your favor.

Horrible experience. Its freezing cold in there facility, they dont warm you up or massage the area that pop with their tools! They just go right in to it and makes you feel good for the first week or two then your worse off then you ever were. I speak for a few others that stopped going. They always tell you "we never like to discuss money or payments" but thats always the first thing they talk about and their care does not help whats so ever. They are false chiropractors and damage the nerves instead of helping them. Which is why when they give you a tour every patient they talk about that "used to go there" does not go there anymore because they needed to seek different medical attention. Not to mention they tell you that your supposed to be in pain but yet they all have never been pain before which is their words not mine. They dont have spinal conditions or any problems. How could you possibly relate. They should be shut down and move on to something else.
