Ive been to two different dental offices in the past ten years with an array of experiences ranging from horrible to mediocre, and feel I have finally found my dental home at Ryan Blairs office. From the time you walk in until the time you leave you are treated with courtesy and professionalism; procedures are explained to you in an intelligent manner which respects your intelligence and involvement in your own health, then performed with quick yet thorough and gentle efficiency; oh yes, and the team is simply fabulous. Ms. April and Dr Blair have everything dialed. Youre in good hands. The team of assistants is amazing. Such a well orchestrated team! They even welcomed my son into the exam room when I couldnt find childcare, were so sweet and accomodating. Dr Blair even let him feed the fish in the waiting room. And yes, the care is top notch. Rest assured. Dr Blair immediately caught a crown which my first, horrible dentist had botched -- twice! -- and which my second, mediocre dentist had never caught in three years of so-so pretty hands-off get-em-in-and-out care (it was all about looks there--fancy office, the rest was meh). Then April got in touch with the horrible dentist and guess what? Theyre going to pay to have Dr Blair replace it. I feel confident it will finally be right. Do yourself a favor: make Dr Blair and his fabulous team your dental care of choice for you and your whole family!

These wonderful people really care about their clients. I couldnt have felt better about how my first appointment went. The front office staff was so polite, efficient and helpful, and my hygienist, Aliesha, was fun and wonderful and seemed to get me through the x-ray and cleaning process very quickly and gently. Dr. Blair was also very efficient and carefully explained what the treatment plan would be, checking to ensure my understanding and agreement periodically. Then, April in the front office carefully explained the tentative plan and pricing to me, and how Powell Dental would work with my insurance company in detail to make sure everything could get done. I left feeling confident and excited to improve my smile, crushing the nervous feeling I had before coming in. I hope to keep Powell Dental as "my" regular dentist for a long time. Ive already recommended Dr. Blairs services to multiple friends and loved ones.

So going to the dentist isnt always in the top 5 list of fave things to do but..... Powell Dental is definitely fighting hard for 6th place ;) The entire staff from the front desk to the dentist himself make the experience as pleasant as possible. They are very welcoming and offer comfort the moment you walk in the door. The team is so friendly and take special care of their patients especially the kids. I have 3 kids and they dont fight me to visit Dr. Blair; that says a lot in itself. The kids really do enjoy visiting their dentist since he takes their pain away and makes them laugh while he does it. Powell Dental makes your smile beautiful while putting that smile on your face! So if youre looking for a dentist go to Powell Dental, you will not be disappointed with Dr. Blair and his team!

Aliesha did my cleaning today and she is fantastic! Shes the most gentle dental hygienist that Ive ever experienced. She communicates wonderfully ("tip your head a bit...", now Im going to use this instrument, or start this process, "do you need a break?", etc.), shes always positive (not judgmental about dental shortcomings), and shes friendly and sincere. Other hygienists at Powell Dental have done cleanings for me, and theyve been very good too. Dr. Blair has replaced an old filling or two. He also crowned a tooth for me several years ago and its been trouble free: I forget that it (a crown) is there - I think I have my natural teeth. Dr. Blair has been friendly, professional, and performed very good work. Im happy to recommend Powell Dental

A good dentist. Admin staff were helpful with insurance shenanigans. They lost track of the care plan we had made to get the most out of my insurance coverage between appointments, but were quick to re-do in the 15 minutes before I arrived. They also dont seem to run late they way other offices Ive been to have. The doctor himself stayed around to answer my questions and made sure I wasnt hurting at all when I got my fillings. My teeth have more awkward rough texture to them where the fillings are than Im used to, but then again I havent had fillings between my teeth before, so maybe thats normal. Their x-ray equipment seems to be up to date and to take high quality images, but thats not a professional opinion, just an impression I got.

From April in insurance/billing to Dr. Ryan R. Blair DMD himself, there is no amount of praise I can give to adequately express my satisfaction of Powell Dental. The staff is always warm and welcoming. You can tell they really enjoy their jobs and work environment. They are prompt... im alway seen at the time of my appointment. I dont have to wait like I do at many doctors offices. If they tell you 8am, youll be seen at 8am. Dr. Blair does not push treatment plans or services that are not necessary. The entire office is extremely clean and sanitary. What more can I say? If youre looking for fantastic dental services in the Portland, OR area, do not hesitate to give Power Dental your business. You wont be disappointed.

Dr. Blair and his staff at Powell Dental are fantastic. I went in for a cleaning and then a filling and they were great with each encounter. Everyone is friendly and polite, and there is an obvious comradery amongst the staff. Dr. Blair was kind, gentle, and personable. He explained the procedure and answered any questions I had. Nora is an excellent communicator, we spoke on the phone several times and she was professional and helpful. Katherine and April were also great to work with and easy to talk to. Prices were estimated ahead of time. April kindly recommended how to save money by keeping up with home care. No hoops, just great service. Highly recommended, I will gladly be returning to Powell Dental.

Best dental office Ive found in PDX. Everyone is always smiling and pleasant and extremely competent, in years having my teeth taken care of here I have had zero unpleasant experiences. Even more importantly, there is no hard sell. I appreciate the "watch and see" approach to old fillings and crowns that dont look so great but also dont really need to be fixed or replaced just yet. When a jagged spot is bugging me, Dr Blair smooths it down. When a filling needs to be replaced, its done quickly and as pleasantly as possible. Never any problems getting seen when theres a problem, and they are wonderful about sending text reminders for appointments. I send my partner and my friends here.

Everything about this dental office is wonderful! The front desk managers, hygienists, and of course Dr Blair! I have been coming here a year now and leave feeling like I have truly found one of the best dental experiences in Portland that I could find. Our family travels all the way from Sherwood, OR just to see him. They have the most up to date equipment including a mini drill for small cavities to eliminate tooth lose, clean your teeth with an air type product that eliminates a lot of scrapping and really whitens your teeth! Dr Blair is kind, personable and open to accommodating what you would like to see happen in the dental chair.
