I chose this practice after doing some online research about my local options for dentistry. I hadnt been to the dentist in a decade, and I knew that it would be a nerve wracking experience. I wanted to make sure I was choosing a dentist that would, first and foremost, be capable of doing things right the first time. I didnt expect to be comfortable anywhere since it had been so long, so that was at the bottom of my checklist. The office waiting room is very comfortable, I didnt feel like I was in a place that was churning out people left and right as quickly as possible, I felt like it was a place I would be paid attention to. That instinct was spot on, every person I met during my first appointment was very personable and attentive. I vocalized my nervousness (and the cause of it) to everyone that would listen in that place, and everyone had comforting things to say before I even got in the chair. Everything was explained to me by Dr. Harding herself, she broke everything down for me and not only did a thorough inspection of my teeth and gums, but also did my cleaning. It wasnt the most pleasant thing Ive been through, but it had been ten years since Id seen a dentist, I didnt expect it to feel great. The whole time, Dr. Harding was checking on how I was feeling and seemed very in tune with every movement I made that indicated it was getting uncomfortable. She would move onto another area before coming back to finish that sore spot, without my even having to ask. Dr. Harding walked me through her plans for my teeth and how she wanted to go about sectioning up the parts to be worked on to make it easier on me since there was so much to be done. She even gave me the option to work on a cavity that makes me self conscious (because its in the front) before anything else. That made me feel like she prioritized how her patient felt versus, what she may have thought was the best thing to do first. Some may not appreciate that, but I do. After my initial appointment, I was honestly surprised at how different my teeth looked. The cleaning was extremely thorough, I expected my mouth and gums to be sore with as much work that was done...but it really wasnt. I had some tender spots where I had cavities, but nothing otherwise. If they can hack ten years worth of nonsense off of my teeth and under my gumline without soreness or pain...I am sold. Overall, I had a fantastic experience with Dr. Harding and the ladies in the office there, and I cant wait to see what the final result is. I have a feeling I chose the right place for me and my smile. I would highly recommend them to anyone.

Reading the above comments I felt inclined to reply. I have been going to Dr. Barkely for many years now and have never been to a better Dentist! He has worked with me in the past when money was tight and he came in AFTER HOURS AND ON THE WEEKEND when I had a dry socket and didnt charge me a dime more than if it had been during normal hours. That doesnt sound like someone whos money hungry actually just the opposite. Im in the healthcare field and i know that you can never make everyone happy and maybe Mrs. Carolyn was expecting way too much which seems to be the norm these days. Last time I checked everyone with a job does what they do to be compensated. Being a Dentist is his job. Providing the excellent and quality services Dr. Barkely provides should be compensated accordingly. As for me, Im really not looking for a bargain price as much as quality when it comes to my teeth. Thanks

I had a wonderful experience (well, as good as it can get) getting a crown placed on my back upper molar. If I could crown Dr. Stephanie Harding the best dentist in Goodlettsville, TN, I certainly would. Both her and Dr. Rick Barkley are the best in the field of dentistry in my opinion. But just as important as those skills are; its the level of empathy and making the patient feel comfortable that puts them (and their staff) ahead of others. Note: I love the fact that I didnt have to go back for my final crown—instead it was manufactured by a type of CNC machine for crowns—and mine fit perfectly. Same day service with a smile!

Dr. Barkley and his staff are superb. I have been a patient for about 3 years, and Dr. Barkley and his staff do a great job making me feel at home whether I am coming in for routine maintenance or an emergency visit. I have lived in multiple states over the years due to my career and his practice is one of the best I have ever experienced. High customer service and excellent dental work on a consistent basis. I highly recommend you give Dr. Barkley a try if you are looking for a new dentist or are you are not satisfied where you are now. You will not be disappointed.

I am FAR from "rich" and Ive been going to Dr. Barkley for years and absolutely love, trust and appreciate him and his staff. Ive never been pushed to have services that I didnt need and feel that if I did need something extensive, he would provide fair and comparable prices for whatever treatment was needed. I would highly recommend him to anyone and actually have referred my own extended family. I have much respect for Dr. Barkley as a dentist but more importantly, as person.

It is hard to imagine looking forward to going to the dentist but that is how I feel every time I go there. The whole staff is so warm and inviting that you feel that you have been to a family reunion. I have been a patient since probably 1978 when Dr. Barkley did his own cleanings. God has blessed this practice because of the God honoring professional way that they conduct business every day. Thank you for letting the love of Christ shine in your every day work.

Dr. Barkley is for EVERYONE not just the people with money. My father started taking me to him when I was in high school and I am now married with children of my own. That is three generations that has been seeing Dr. Barkley so that has to say something for the mans work ethics not to mention the friendliness of all his staff. I would not hesitate to recommend him to anyone and have in the past. My past experiences with Dr. Barkley have always been excellent.

Dr. Barkley is for the rich people. His staff is excellent, though they steer you the way that they want you to go instead of how YOU want to go. Its all about money.... Hes friendly enough, but if you dont have money, you wait for those that do. If you dont have "money" you are "rushed" thrul I totally loved this man in the beginning, cuz I thought he really cared. Enough said,

Dr Barclay and his staff are fantastic. I have no dental insurance and I have very little money that I can spend on dental care. Dr. Barclay has handled dental emergencies for me as well as the regular cleaning and maintenance I need. He has been gracious enough to bill me allowing me to make payments toward thousands of dollars of work; Thanks Doc! Thanks Joy!
