We really like Dr. Hanson and the Wentzville clinic is in a good location! HOWEVER, the office and phone staff is often RUDE and uncooperative, especially if there is any sort of problem!!!! My children went to NWP for 2 years before a Wentzville School Nurse noticed a problem in the immunization record 2 days before school started. I also get my insurance card, copay, etc. in my hand while Im in the car before I get my kids out of their car seats, because the front desk personnel wont even look up your info until they have those items in front of them. On a positive note, they have surprisingly never charged me an additional fee when I needed to get copies of immunization records. To get an appointment with Dr. Hanson schedule quite a while in advance; this works good for check-ups, but not sick appointments. When weve seen some of the other doctors, they seem to automatically want to prescribe antibiotics, instead of discussing a full range of treatment options home treatment, over the counter, and prescriptions etc. Whenever Ive call NWP about a medical concern I have about my children, even the most minor item, they have ALWAYs insisted I bring them in. Now I ALWAYS check my home medical child care reference book FIRST or I call our insurance 24hr health number!! Then using the books charts and info I decided whether I should call NWP this saves our family money without sacrificing our childrens health!

Stay clear! You are better off finding a different pediatrician who cares about ALL aspects of your kids, and not just the bottom financial line. The doctors may seem nice and knowledgeable, but if you have any problems with them billing your insurance, you will get the shaft! They bill for procedures they dont do, and then send you "final notices" and threaten your credit, all while you are trying to sort it out with insurance. We have been with them for over 12 years, but I am so tired of them pulling the same insurance issue, that we are looking for a new doctor...one that actually cares about my kids FIRST, and not trying to squeeze every penny out of us. Oh...and Dr.Hoffman is the head bully. Dont look for any compassion or understanding there. He said it will cost us to get my kids records.

We love this office! The staff have always been very kind and patient with me! With 3 kids, I have been there A LOT this year! Dr Dunn is our main pediatrician, but we have seen everyone in this office and they are all very knowledgeable and helpful. Because there are so many wonderful doctors and nurse practitioners in this office, it is easy to get an appointment that fits our schedule. Often, we have a sick visit scheduled within hours of me calling. They have Saturday appointments, too--which is awesome! Why is it kids always get sick on the weekends?? Bottom line, we are very happy with this office and we are always quick to suggest them to anyone!

I have not been happy with the service we have gotten from this location at all. I keep telling myself the treatment we get is not because we are black, but it is because they are a busy doctors office. Well ya... no.. it is definitely because we are black. We have been going to the Florissant office for the past 14 years but moved to Wentzville. This location is absolutely awful. The staff is not friendly. They do not return phone calls. We can not get physical or FMLA paperwork filled out. I have to pay a co-pay at follow up visits. I NEVER did that at any other location in 14 years. Im done.

The office staff is so rude! My daughter used to go there as an infant, i didnt like it so i switched her to a new pediatrician that I love. Unfortunately, our insurance changed and NOW is in our new network. I called to schedule annual appointments for my two daughters. The schudeling lady got on the phone and said "sooo you are wanting to return to the practice??!!"" as a if there was some huge problem with that?! She was so rude! Seems like they havent changed much in 8 years. The reason we left 8 years ago, the staff is so rude!

Doctors are fantastic, but office staff is RUDE and not worth the trouble. Recently,I had a billing question and because I asked about a billling inconsistency they just threatened to bill me more rather than explain their own inconsistency. Very disappointed in their management. Unfortunately this is not my first let down either. But if you want fast and friendly *doctors only* this is a nice place

Love Them! My son has been seeing them since he was born and we will not go anywhere else! The met with me several times while he was in the special care nursery for 2 weeks. We see Dr. Dunn for our checkups and we have even seen Dr. Hanson and Dr. Gerst for sick visits. They were all wonderful! We actually have a well baby appointment in a couple of days with Dr. Dunn and I am looking forward to it!

My kids see Dr.Hoffman as their primary doctor. I really like how thorough he is with the kids. He explains things to them in a way they can understand. Weve also had to see Dr.Hanson for sick visits and really liked her as well. She didnt mess around with chatty talk. She treated the symptoms she felt were critical.

Weve seen Dr. Hanson a few times and a nurse prac. once. Weve loved them both. They were thorough, great bedside manner, great with kids, so understanding of their situations, fears, anxieties about their situation. The wait time is the shortest ever of any drs office Ive ever been to. My kids love Dr. Hanson.

I met Dr. Hoffman when he did the birthing class at Progress West, and I knew he was the best pick for our pediatrician. He is knowledgeable and personable, and great with the little guys. I would absolutely recommend Northwest Pediatrics to other parents.

They have you bring your children in for every little thing. They would rather line their pocket books that treat your child properly. They prescribe antibiotics very freely with no regard to the issues of antibiotic over use.
