I do not recommend this vet. The doctor, "Kelly" was so rude to me the two times I saw her that I almost cried both times. She talks down to you, if she talks to you at all. Instead, she would speak to the tech. She also took the offensive when I voiced my concern that I never received her message that my dog was sick and needed medicine. Instead of apologizing for the mixup, she said it was my responsibility. I apologized for perhaps missing that message, but she or the office should have followed up to make sure I picked up the meds. Instead, they sent me a bill in the mail for the drugs I had never picked up. I was horrified that my pet was sick and they had no concern whatsover for the actual follow through. At my previous vet, they actually called after any procedure or start of a medicine regimen just to make sure the pet was doing ok! The office staff also messed up each time I had an appointment. For the first one, they called the day before to remind me, but when I arrived they said they had no record of my appointment. Eventually they found it. For the second, they failed to call with a reminder, and when I called to double check the appointment, they said they couldnt find one for me. I then missed it and made another appointment, and was subsequently chastised when I came in for the makeup for missing the earlier appointment. I have never experienced such a mismanaged practice and unprofessional doctor and staff. Perhaps the founding doctor, a man I never met, is caring and professional.

if you want to be overcharged and treated rudely by the vet, i would recommend this place. She talked down to me and gave me the impression that she didnt see me fit to own a cat. when i brought my cat in for her second visit for vaccinations, instead of doing them right away and keeping it quick for the sake of the cats stress level, she threw a toy around the room first and got her all riled up! then when it was time for the shots, she wouldnt let me hold my own cat to keep her calm. she said i was not QUALIFIED!!! i have had cats my entire life and been to several vets over the years, and i have always felt my pets were well cared for with reasonable costs. i would not recommend this practice to anyone. and i simply can not believe how rude she was! UNACCEPTABLE. i completely agree with the first review on here as well. i had the same problems with them forgetting my appointments even after THEY had called me to confirm the day before. after deciding not to return here, i took my little kitty to T.E.A.M. and they did a phenomenal job on her spay. and for a fraction of the incredibly high costs at westville vets.

Weve been clients here for over 15 years and wouldnt dream of taking our dogs anywhere else. Dr. Aldrich and Dr. Kaufman provide outstanding care and their love of animals is obvious in every interaction. They are compassionate, caring and go the extra mile to explain test results and procedures. Weve never felt rushed or pressured here. Debbie and Jackie are excellent support staff, and go out of their way to help with scheduling and billing, and they too give excellent care to our pets. VAWs association with the Central Hospital for Veterinary Medicine is an added bonus. If you are looking for a practice that will treat both you and your pet like family, look no further, they are simply the best!

We have been recieving amazing care for our pets for over 12 years at Veterinary Associates. We love and rely on this place!!! Its got a small town vibe combined with a super intelligent and sympathetic staff. Putting our beloved dog Rocket down was devastatingly hard...a heart wrenching experience and the Veteranarian and staff were incredible. I will always be grateful for their sensitivity and love for our animals. They also send out reminders which I really appreciate plus they dont make you feel like a horrible person if you screw up and forget to get shots for your cat..heh heh. Anne Tofflemire Westville

I have ben taking my dogs to Veterinary Asociates for over 25 years.. I started when I lived in New Haven and now live in Branford Ct. It is well worth the drive to these wonderful caretakers or my animals. Each and every staff member is kind, compassionate and truly understanding of the bond I have with my dogs. They take their time to answer questions, make suggestions to the well being of my closest and best friends. The Doctors are above reproach. They take the time to know me and my dog. I have been going to Westville Vet since I moved to New Haven in 2008, first with my cat and now with my dog. I never have to wait long for appointments and the location is very convenient. My dog gets very stressed out at the vet (nothing to do with the people - shes just extra crazy) and the staff and vet have been working with me to come up with a solution. It is still trial-and-error for now but the fact that they continue to be willing to see my very friendly but very stressed-out dog means a lot to me. Friendly, informative, helpful staff and vets.

I could not imagine a better place to help ensure the health of my cat. The entire office has a calm and caring atmosphere. Dr. Kaufman has been absolutely fantastic: extremely gentle, kind, and attentive. She and the entire office have been available and considerate in times of need, responding to emergencies and helping my cat as she was one of their own. I trust them wholeheartedly and I can honestly say that my cat is happier and healthier than she has ever been because of the Veterinary Associates of Westville.

If your looking for a vet clinic for the basics (vaccinations, blood test, exams. etc), Westville Vet Clinic provides great customer service and general service overall. Not to mention I love Dr. Kaufman who always has open ears and is very kind. My oldest cat Papaya has been going her since she was a kitten and Im sure we will get 10-15 more years out of her with the help of the vets and techs at Westville Vet Clinic. We now have two dogs and another kitten and they are all healthy and happy. Thanks Westville Vet.

I couldnt disagree more with the review that I just read. We have been clients of Veterinary Associates of Westville for close to 30 years and have many friends and family that also use their services without incident or complaint. Dr. Aldrich and his associates have cared for all of our dogs through these 30 years with care and compassion. The tenure of the office staff and veterinary techs of WVA is truly remarkable! We have always found their service to be professional and compassionate!
