Had a terrible experience putting our dog down here. The Vet and staff are obviously unfamiliar with aggressive dogs and their inexperience and decisions made my dogs last moments alive terrifying. He was fear aggressive to strangers, and though the Vet and staff knew this they treated him in such a way as to aggravate that instead of sooth it. When we were holding him still for the sedation shot, he was very worked up and growling at the techs. While the one tech was trying to give him the shot the other tech got about 1 foot away from his face saying in an animated voice "Look at me, look over here!" while waving her fingers. This meant he had two strangers coming at him from two different directions, he was so freaked out. We said that we wanted to stay until he was completely calm but we didnt feel the need to stay for the actual death. We wanted to remember our dog as the great and happy dog he had been with us. When the Vet came in to tell us it would be time for us to leave if we were ready, I was concerned that the IV hadnt been put in yet and that this would be difficult for him to have strangers touching him without us. I wanted to stay for that process, but was told it would be in another room. The Vet assured us that he wouldnt be a problem and he would be fine. At this point he was laying on the floor, tail wagging and eyes open. I assumed "not a problem" meant he was pretty much immobile, so we decided it would be okay to go. The Vet asked if we wanted to take the muzzle with us, and he said "Ill go get one of ours so that you dont feel insecure about it." Really, thats the word choice you make? Insecure? How about worried, or concerned? Very condescending attitude. Then as I walked out of the room the poor guy got up and tried to follow me out! My husband had to grab his collar and lead him back in. The Vet was surprised by this. As I turned back to see if maybe we should stay the Vet told us no, to go. The poor dog was growling at the Vet and trying to get at him. He was uncomfortable and frightened and that was EXACTLY what I wanted to avoid. It seemed like they were unconcerned with his distress. The fact that he got up and tried to leave seemed to me a sign he needed more sedation and we could have stayed to help him through that, they could have also allowed me to be with him while they put in the IV. Im very upset with how this happened and I would urge you not to take your dog here for euthanasia or other services if they have any aggression issues.

I will never take my dogs here again. I have been bringing various pets to this place for over 20 years. My dog got a severe rash and my son called them to bring her in. It was 4:30 pm and they closed at 6. The person who answered the phone told him they didnt have any opening and gave him a morning appointment the next day and told him to give our dog Benadryl and if that didnt help take him to the emergency vet. We did that she seemed better but then around 1:30 am she became very itchy and was in severe discomfort. Her skin was warm and her stomach look like she had a severe sunburn. She was crying and yelping so my and my son took her to the emergency vet. They gave her a shot of steroids and Benadryl and within minutes she was feeling better. I didnt appreciate that they couldnt see her for what amounted to was a 15 minute appointment that ended up costing me over $200. I called the next day to cancel the appointment and told them I will be looking for another vet and my mother also. She took her dog there and spent a lot of money on tests and medicine and it didnt help her dog with his scratching.

Dr. King and the staff treated my dog and me like family. Having recently moved to the area, my husband and I had been searching for a vet for our dog for about a month. We were forced to make a decision, though, when we found a large mass we thought had previously been removed. Thus, our dog went in with Dr. King for exploratory surgery and, knowing that our pup had previously had an awful experience with anesthesia, the staff at Lilley Vet were extra attentive and responsive to her. Furthermore, they were patient with my questions and thorough with all the tests and biopsies which were performed. I have had such a positive experience here and would highly recommend them to anyone in search of an outstanding veterinary clinic.

Dr. Burt, along with all their Staff has always been there when we need them. They are always very thorough and my dogs are never fearful of going in there, they love the Staff. My dogs are now 10 years old and been going there since puppies and one dog has many issues, which Dr. Burt figured out what was going on. Prior to these dog our dogs we had also went there. Dr. Stoddard and Dr. King have also seen our dogs and could not have been better in helping us with our problems. The Vet Techs and Staff at the front desk are extremely friendly and make you feel like family. I would NEVER take my dogs any where else.

Dr. Burt has been my vet for years. Hes great with my dogs, always gentle and kind. He gives me honest advice and is always open to accommodating my pets needs. I had an older, very large (125 lbs) dog that he had cared for since he was a puppy. As Bear aged it was hard for him to get in and out of the car due to his hips not being as strong as they used to be. Dr. Burt agreed to make a house call to ensure Bear got the treatment he needed. This meant so much to me and my family. He is truly a vet that is in it for the animals. He will be my vet as long as he is in practice.

Friendly, affordable, and highly recommended! They have a great website where you can conveniently set up your appointment. I had to cancel my first appointment just 15 minutes before we were scheduled because my cat, Bootz, hid from me! I couldnt find her anywhere in the house! The team was so understanding and there was no charge for the rescheduling. It was our first time bringing Bootz to the Lilley center. It was quite lovely. The staff was very kind, and Dr. King was fantastic. Bootz is all better and the exam plus all of her medications were under $80!

After three wonderful years, we had to change vets. There has never been an issue with the care my dogs have received here, its merely a location issue based on where we live now. Roxy & Lance have always loved the staff, and have received thorough, loving care. They were able to finally pin down an effective allergy medicine for my grass-allergic Roxy, one that wasnt steroid-based and wouldnt trash her insides. If we move closer again, I know where we will be coming back to!
