Decent place for vaccines... if any major health issues run away as fast as possible. Took my pup there with stomach bloating issues. Was told by the owner that she needed to be referred to this clinic in the middle of nowhere for an ultrasound. Called them and they were backlogged for weeks. Fan Vets Dr. told me there was no other option we needed to wait for that. After a couple of days of seeing my dog struggle late one night I had a bad feeling she was fading... Took her to the Emergency Vet in Carytown and they had all of the equipment there that was necessary. She recovered from this thanks to them. It was easy to see and confirmed she would have passed in the near future. Was shocked to see good reviews here and had to share my story. Instead of finding a way to help my dog the vet was more worried about referring to a place that he probably receives a kick back.

Love the whole team and especially Doctor Hall!! Fan Vet does all the standard vet things, shots, health check ups, ect and offers reasonable prices and good working hours. On the rare case you do need to get in to see them on short notice, they always make it work. Basically, my definition of a great vet. More recently, our dog is having some teeth issues from an old injury and the entire team has been really attentive and caring. They have also been understanding of our budget limitations and are willing to work with us to find efficient solutions that keep the dog happy and healthy without being condescending or hurtful to us as owners. The entire staff has a great we are here to help you care your pet the best way you can attitude is much appreciated and why I continue to recommend them.

My last dog I took to Allied on Broad st, which was a fine place. Prior to that with a different dog I used the Fan vet on one occasion but moved close to Carytown so I used them. I recall not being happy with Carytown. With my new pup and now living a stones throw from Fan vet, I went back here. Ive been a couple times and cant speak highly enough about them. The front office and vets are just perfect. Very friendly. They want to make sure you understand everything thats going on. Prices are very reasonable from my experience (a couple puppy regular shot/worm/checkup visits - 60-80 ea.). I felt very comfortable there and highly recommend it. Yesterday I received a very nice personalized note fromt hem thanking me for my business, which reminded me I wanted to place a review here.

Ive been taking my cat here for three years and started taking my dog here a year ago (when we got him). The staff is always friendly and I have never had to wait for my appointment - actually I can usually be taken back a few minutes early. I love that the vets and techs always try to make sure that we understand the situation, dont try to make you feel dumb, and dont try to push products on us. Ive paid more for vet services and Ive also paid less, but the service and staff here are SO worth the price. One of the girls also recognized me and remembered my pets outside of the clinic and asked me how they were doing.

I have been taking my pets here since 1999 and have been very happy. Ive seen Drs Taylor and Hall and also loved Dr OMalley and Dr Jack. No they arent cheap, but really, I know of no private practice vets in the metro area that are. To the ear mite person - based on what they gave you it seems like they believed that your kitten may have had feline herpes virus? Viralys would have been used to help her get stronger and mitigate her symptoms while the antibiotics would have been used to prevent secondary infections. Perhaps they thought it prudent to treat the more serious condition first?

Ive taken many animals to the Fan Vet Clinic (including strays, foster pets), and have always received excellent care. From the girls at the front desk to the veterinarians, everyone is compassionate and professional and eager to help. I definitely appreciate the small neighborhood vet feel that the Fan Vet Clinic has (Dr. Hall has called me personally to follow up when my dog was ill).

I brought my kitten in because of dirty ears and runny eyes. They gave me antibiotics and Viralysis. $40 worth of medicine that had no effect. Later, I took her to the SPCA for her last shot and they said she had ear mites and gave me Revolution to cure it for free. If they couldnt identify ear mites, I think I need a new vet.

I love Fan vet. Ive been taking my dog here for almost a year and theyve always been sweet and concerned foremost with my pets welfare. I dont understand why people are complaining about the costs -- their vet services are reasonable and comparable to other vets in the area. I highly recommend Fan vet.
