I moved here from Richmond 3 years ago and found this Animals Hospital to be allot cheaper than any other animal hospitals around the Fredericksburg and Spotsylvania, VA surrounding area. I took my dog in for a vaccine and wasn’t even charged the an office visit fee, which was very surprisingly to me as others in the area wanted to charge me the office visit fee for profit. I than started taking my pets here and second Dr. was Dr. Wegner, he is awesome with my pet that I brought to him and he also is vary caring for the pets I have at home with suggestions. Example; I took my cat in for an ear infection, he than proscribed an medication and advise me that I could give the same meds to my other cats at home with the same problem. I took my other cat to VCA and they threatened me that if I give the meds to my other cats they would not give me another medication, which they needed to see the other cats. I will always keep Dr. Wegner Fredericksburg Animals hospital as my regular Vet for all my pets needs as he is extremely knowledgeable of the procedures they perform and very caring towards animals, very social as well. I have tried other animal’s hospital only to be charge an absence amount of money for unnecessary treatment just for profit, which is VCA and Bandfield, The Pet Hospital corporate companies that I do not mind mentioning their names because people need to know about those places. I have come to know one doctor at the Bandfield who is different from all the other Dr. I have come in contact with, Dr. Wally is one of the BEST Dr. Bandfield, the Pet Hospital will ever have in the Richmond area, all the others are out to get you for your money, I have had experience as one of my cats was diagnose with Leukemia, so I have 2 years of experiencing different Vets and how they go about getting people’s money, I have learned allot with Dr. Wally and I am grateful to him that my cat now is no longer diagnose with the deadly disease of Leukemia. If its one Dr. that I trust is Dr. Wally and the same goes for Dr. Wagner.

We have been taking our family pets to Fredericksburg Animal Hospital since i was a child. We have always been extremely happy with there care for our animals, professionalism, and willingness to work with every situation that is thrown at them. Today i was AMAZED by the service we received. My wife and I purchased a puppy two days ago, we took it in for a check up and found out that it had pretty major heart complications. Dr. Bakerian went so far out of her way to help us that she saw the urgency in the situation and made herself available for us to contact after hours. The Above and Beyond service did not stop there. She then proceed to call the breeder and help explain to them what was going on with our dog in detail. Her willingness to go out of the way to work with her clients really amazed me. I will never see another vet again! i would recommend Dr. B and the whole staff at Fredericksburg Animal Hospital to anyone who is looking for a great vet that really does care about the animals and not just the money.

I cannot say enough good things about this animal hospital, its staff, and the medical care my two kittens received! I moved away from Fredericksburg to NOVA and tried two other veterinarians because Fredericksburg was so far away then eventually decided it was well worth the travel to have my kittens treated at The Fredericksburg Animal Hospital. Their prices are more than fair, they went above and beyond to meet my kittens needs, and prescribe only appropriate medication and nutritional supplements as opposed to other veterinarians I tried who push unnecessary and expensive prescriptions medications. This veterinarian is also up-to-date on the latest and best treatment practices. Again, I highly recommend this animal hospital!

After my dog was throwing up all night and not feeling well at all, I knew I had to get into see a Vet ASAP this morning. I found Fredericksburg Animal Hospital online and called. The girl at the front desk agreed that my Labrador Retriever needed to be seen soon. She was able to squeeze me into a very busy schedule that morning. I saw Dr. Minniear, let me just say, she was absolutely AMAZING!!!! Extremely through, VERY compassionate, and took the time to explain what might be going on with my dog. I would HIGHLY recommend this animal hospital for all of your pets needs. The entire staff and Vet were truly the BEST!!! My dog already feels better and it hasnt even been 12 hours since he was there.

We have been taking our dogs to FAH for over 5 years now and wouldnt change a thing. The front desk staff is very caring and helpful, while the doctors and techs are super knowledgeable and very thorough. They are very accomodating with appointment times and go the extra mile to address any and all concerns. We have boarded our dogs several times while on vacation and they have always been very well taken care of and come back home happy and healthy :) While FAH is a bit more expensive than other area offices, my husband and I find that the care and attentiveness of the staff outweighs the price. We hope to have many more years with this office!

My dogs always receive the most wonderful care at Fredericksburg Animal Hospital. My Yorkie had her ACL repaired and she is healing wonderfully. She acts like a puppy again! I also recently boarded my 3 Yorkies at Fredericksburg Animal Hospital and I was very impressed at how well taken care of they were. My dogs were clean, calm, and happy when I picked them up. The staff was courteous and knowledgeable and check in / check out was super fast. Many many thanks to the staff for taking such great care of my dogs. I recommend this animal hospital to everyone!

These people have no business working on animals, they dont know what theyre talking about, after spending over $2000 on my dog, he was no better than when I first took him there, the so called vetnarian that was supposed to be treating him, seems very inexperienced and not very confident, so I decided to take my dog to a real vetnarian now hes doing so much better with the proper treatment and the vet bills are a lot cheaper, theres no way I would take any of my animals back to this place. stay away if you care about your pets

Last week we were faced with the reality of putting our cat down so he wouldnt suffer any longer. This was a very difficult decision that left a void in our hearts and home. Today we received a sympathy card for the loss of a cat from the Fredericksburg Animal Hospital. We appreciate their thoughtfulness in taking the time to acknowledge our loss and offering words of comfort. They also included a packet of "Forget Me Not" seeds in the card which we plan on planting in remembrance of our cherished Riley.

Just had to put our dog down. Dr B and her staff were awesome throughout the whole process. She came out and jumped in the back of our car and did an exam on our dog and went through all of our options. We decided the best option for our dog was to put him down. Dr B and her staff were very comforting to us and took excellent care of our dog even after he passed. I have to say we feel very blessed that we found this animal hospital!
