I want to be very descriptive to what happened to warn the next person. I was VERY happy with my last dentist but just moved too far away to continue going to them. So I was on a search for something close to my work. I decided to try Aspen Dental. They were close and a new place and never really tried someone new so wasnt aware of the tricks of the trade. I clinch my teeth which created grooved in the base of my teeth. One was getting bad that I could feel the nerves in the groove and wanted to see if there was something I could do. When I went in for my consultation, I sat down in a chair for a good 5 min. Thats it. then was whisked into a room where I felt like I was buying a used car. The girl I dealt with told me I needed a periodontal cleaning where they dig deep into your gums and clean all the plaque off. My previous dentist always said I had good habits and always complemented me on my plaque, but they are the experts and if they thought I needed that maybe I do. She then told me most will be covered under my insurance and it will only cost me $600 out of pocket. My eyes lit up and I said "I am sorry to waste your time but I just came in for a cleaning and to try and figure out what is going on with my grooved teeth" . As I was trying to leave she said "hold on a second" went and talked to the boss and they lowered the price and took out the $250 fluoride rinse they were going to charge me. Told me $200 would be all I would owe. I was still confused because I do have good insurance and usually just walk in and get what needs to be done and walk out. But they are the experts but said yes. So my first appointment, I got a phone call to reschedule because there were no dentists in the office and I would be wasting my time. Okay, seemed a bit unprofessional but so be it. Came in 2 days later. One lady took more xrays, and filled a cavity, all the while asking for help from an assistant but no one came so she did what she had too and did the work of 2 people holding the suction tube and drilling and scraping, but never dealt with the problem at hand. Told me to come back in 2 days for a follow up and work on the deep tissue cleaning. At that point, I mentioned that we are still not talking about the main issue why I was there and they said they would get more into it once they clean me all up. 2nd appointment : I came in and a different lady beat the hell out of my mouth. I am not blaming her, from what I have learned it was a painful procedure but was all done in about an hour. She rushed me out of the chair and said we are all done. As I walked up to the counter the operator said Goodbye to me and we will talk about a follow up. At this point I was very upset and asked when were we going to talk about what I came in for. Her response was "The doctors must of thought this was more important" and they will call me for a follow up on what was done. They collected the $200 they told me I was going to owe and we moved on. I had decided to call them about the follow up and why we are not talking about the issue of the grooves because one is so bad that I could feel the nerves. They never called for a follow up, and I know why. So I decided to contact a different dentist to get the issue fixed. When they ran my insurance they saw that all of my insurance has been used for the year and suggested for me to wait until the first of the year so I am not paying for everything out of my pocket. Now I was so mad I couldnt stand it. Here is the Kicker. I got a bill saying I was about to be sent to collections for $1600. I called to figure out what was going on and they never sent any of it to my insurance company. I called to figure out what was going on and they basically told me to hold tight while they figure it out. a week later I had to call them. They said they were sorry and they never processed it. But almost sent me to collections because of it. THEN once it was all said and done told me I owe them $200. I told them I had paid it on my first visit. They are there to milk you for every dollar

Avoid!! Extremely rushed service, do not take the time to listen to their patients. I had a filling replaced (pretty simple right?). When I told her (Dr. Jeong) it was too high and needed to be filed down. Her response was that I would get use to it. She had me bit down on a piece of paper and said my bit was fine. I was so numb that I couldnt tell that I was cranking my jaw sideways in order to bit down. She should have seen this. When I called the next day to tell them it was off and needed to be fixed, they said for me to come in right now. I was at work and couldnt. This was on a Friday - they closed at 1 pm and cant see me until 4 pm on Monday. Im stuck like this all weekend. Also used way too much Novocaine. My ear was numb, the back of my head was numb and even down my neck was numb. I was having problems swallowing because my throat was partially numb. I was like that for six hours. Upon inspecting the tooth that was filled, I have visible decay spots on the side of the tooth she filled. She did not fix this (seriously, she was right there, all she had to do was a quick drilling to clean the decay out and put a little filling on the side.) But NO, she only replace the top of the filling and it was a shoddy job. I can still see black decay on the top of my tooth were she missed filling it in. Im shocked. How could she just let it be like that? Im having a hard time grasping that something so simple could be so messed up.

I absolutely hate this place. I was excited because I finally found a place where I can do monthly payments since im 21 with 2 part time jobs and cant afford much. Well, turns out when I first made my appointment and was told i can make monthly payments, it was complete bullshit. I get here for my appointment, they ask me for my money before the procedure is even done, find out I have to apply for some care credit to make payments, and I didnt have time for that. I needed to get my appointment over with and get to work. And when I first came in for a consultation and an exam, I was told to come back for the filling at 9am on Thursday, and they even wrote it down for me on a card. They called to confirm my appointment, and argued with me that the appointment was at 8, when they told me 9 and even wrote it down on the appointment card. But besides the financial situation, they did a great job with my teeth.
