I will never return. The dental care was good quality, but they were not up front with the cost. They were very specific about my portion of bill and the insurance companys portion of the bill. I paid my portion of the bill on the day of the visit. I received another bill in the mail saying they estimated the insurance companys responsibility incorrectly, and I owed more money. I haggled, and, as a compromise, they would allow me to pay the "no-insurance price". Of course, right?! I was officially paid up. Again. Then I got another bill in the mail saying I still owed more on the original visit in question! Unreal. I called, and they said because of all the trouble they would "just take care of this one for me". Take care care of what? Why did I still owe more?? Needless to say, quality care or not, I can never return there. I can not trust that the initial price is the actual price. This time it was $200. This would have been a lot more troublesome if the procedure was something more significant and costly. Edit: I just received ANOTHER bill from Great Expressions Dental for $22, after everything that has transpired. This is nearing insanity. Words can not express my frustration and desire to permanently detangle myself from this company.

I have been going to Great Expressions for years and very pleased with the entire staff and Dentist John F. Recently I had to have some extensive work done and the Dentist was just awesome as well as his assistants. He told me from the very beginning that this was a joint effort to get things "perfect", it was going to take time to get the right fit for the smile I wanted. He asked me to be honest with him with what was going on in my mouth and that it would take baby steps and when baby steps are required so is patience...... patience on both sides. I cant say it has been easy because it has not but it has been so worth it, I love my smile! Dentist John F. stuck to his word, he was so patient with me as well as his staff. When I called stating I needed an adjustment they got me in even when I had just seen him an hour earlier and never once made me feel bad. It was an awesome experience.

My family and I have been going to Great Expressions for two years and we have finally decided to switch. The staff is very friendly, but there are several things that have raised concerns with us recently. First, they always have to reschedule our six month appointments a few days before they occur. With three of us going, it seems like we are always trying to get our appointment worked out. Second, it really concerned me when the dentist just noticed things about my teeth that I thought he would have noticed on my first visit. I have two teeth that simply never developed (a wisdom tooth and an upper incisor) he just noticed at my fourth visit last month. The last thing that bothers me is that they are always trying to sell me some extra exam. If its necessary then recommend it and charge my insurance, if its not then dont try to sell me it, please.

I have always been very picky when it comes to my teeth, I take great care in them! About 3 years ago my front tooth had chipped in the corner so I made an appointment with great expressions to fix it and they did. 6 months later the same tooth chipped again in the same spot so again I made an appointment and they fixed it. Now after 2 years I have had it chip 6 times! Clearly something was going on because I of the times my tooth had chipped; it was from eating spaghetti, or fruit snacks, never from something too hard, and they say afterwards you can go back to eating as normal and the tooth will be fine. I finally switched dentists and they fixed my tooth and its been a little over a year and my tooth is fine! I was very disappointed in their customer service and I am glad I switched dentists because I am very pleased with the work they do!

I had both of my children going to this dentist for 3 years and recently had to engage a pediatric dentist to do a hard to reach filling for my youngest who is 7. Upon examination they discovered a need for 6 cavities and a crown! It had only been less than 3 months since his annual check up at Great Expressions! The Dentist was shocked to see the poor quality of the x rays submitted to her by Great Expressions. I have been faithfully taking my child to preventative dental appointments and told his teeth were ok. Now, I am learning that he will have to endure 6 fillings and a crown. This is an example of very poor care- dont take your kids.

Im one of those crazy people that actually like to have my teeth cleaned. Only took the hygienist 15 minutes to clean my teeth and didnt floss when she was done. She said she shouldnt need to after scraping them. Went to my girlfriend who is in hygiene school (would have her clean my teeth but I dont meet the requirements for the dirty teeth she needs) and she said there was stain left on the back side of my teeth. Maybe there are some good things there, but after my first visit, I know I wont return. Especially since my insurance requires me to pay out of pocket.

Great Expressions pushes services so they can over bill your insurance company, and shame you if you dont comply. They take too many x-rays, dont spend enough time servicing the patients and cheat on cleanings to push more patients through the office. Great Expressions doesnt focus on quality service, but rather quantity so they can collect more money. The more patients the hygentist and Dr. Falvo see, the more money they will collect from your insurance company. Id prefer not to give them any stars, but thats not a choice.

Decided not to return after my last experience. My crown wasnt fitted correctly which caused me to develop tmj. Asked the dentist if we could replace my lower front cap because it was so old it had metal pegs sticking out of the top, which chipped my top tooth. He ground down the pegs, never told me my top tooth had a crack, and only wanted to guilt me into having my wisdom teeth extracted. Plus the hygienists make you feel awful if you have any type of tartar or plaque build up.

If you had issues in the past, give them another try. I started going to Great Expressions in Brighton about 10 years ago. Since Dr. Falvo has taken over the location I have seen remarkable improvement. The front end staff are extremely friendly and helpful, the dental technicians and hygienists are professional and caring, and Dr. Falvo is fantastic. He is engaging, and will always take the time to listen to your concerns and develop a plan. Great with Kids and Adults!

This place is a joke... i will never return there again, i asked for my crown appointment to moved up do to severe pain in my temp crown tooth and they said that they would call me as soon as the crown came in. That was 2 weeks ago. They have since rescheduled my appointment even due to my severe pain. Stay away from this place!
