I am going to try and make a long story short. My name is Janice Miller, and recently over the past 2 years, I have had three crowns at Coast. Considered this a good place and my home for dental services. Anyway, a little over a week ago my gum swelled up around a previous root canal and crown, done probably thirty years ago when I was in my twenties. I went in the office in severe pain and scared because Ive never had infection before....first experience. Anyway they put me on antibiotics last Tuesday, and on Friday I was worst than before...more swollen and in more pain than Tuesday. I called the office and told the nurse that I had to be seen that day. Scared to death to go all weekend. Long story short.....they would not see me. Told me to go to another Coast and have tooth pulled. No way I could do that. Way too infected to be pulled. I had to call another dentist that didnt know who I was, and they worked me in and open the gum to drain. Antibiotics wouldnt work until that was done, but how would Coast know, because they didnt care enough to see me. Enough for me! You cannot trust a dentist that will even think of treating one of their patients this way.

I called to make an appointment and said I wanted to be seen as soon as possible because I am in pain from grinding my teeth. They said they couldnt see me until the next Monday. Ok, scheduled an appointment. Then on the Friday before they called to tell me that they decided they werent going to be open on Monday so they were going to reschedule me for Friday. Ok, thats another week of pain but sure. Then they call me at 4pm the thursday before my new appointment and tell me they decided they wont be open on Friday so they need to reschedule again. Are you freaking kidding me. No thanks cancel my appointment, Ill make an appointment with a place that actually knows when its open and keeps appointments with its patients.

If you go to this location (or ANY Coast, really), you are DEFINITELY GOING TO GET SCAMMED!!!! Do NOT trust these folks with your teeth! I went in and they said I needed a deep cleaning (which I was aware of), and along with the deep cleaning a Soniccare toothbrush (which I already own), and 36 applications of Arestin - at $90/3 applications that is over $1500!!!!! Total bill for 2 visits - over $2000!!!! So I go to a REPUTABLE dentist for a second opinion, and THEY dont think I need ANY Arestin!!! Total bill for 2 visits?? $300! This place is a SCAM from FRONT TO BACK!!! If you step a single FOOT in this place you better be prepared to bend over and take it HARD!

I will not be going back to this office again. Every time I go there I am charged for something. I just spoke to a smartA** to explain my issue and she was straight rude. I had a routine cleaning which is covered at 100% WITHOUT being subjected to the deductible but I get a bill for $60 and she has the nerve to say it is because the insurance company did not pay what they submitted. Probably because you all suppose to know what they will accept as a charge. Insurance scammers and then stick the customers with the bill because they KNOW the insurance fee schedules so why submit a higher charge. I will be taking my family and our business elsewhere.

Dental service was good, but billing department was horrible. I live overseas and I went in to get basic work done. They did the work, but had a hard time with my insurance. I repeatedly went into the office to clear my bill, but was instructed that insurance billing was in process. I told them I was going back overseas and I needed to handle this immediately. I said, please call me as soon as possible so I can clear the matter before I leave. Never heard from them. Now Im overseas and my stateside residence got a collection letter. So frustrating and senseless. I get better service in the 3rd world country where I live.

I was very skeptical after reading the other reviews but they were on my insurance so I risked it. It is like going to a timeshare seminar. You have to go in with no thank you permanently on your tongue. The staff and Dr. Burnette were very nice however. Dont be scared of them. Now they did recommend a $200 not covered by insurance cleaning that I declined. So I too left with no cleaning at all. Ridiculous. Ill be going elsewhere for that. I did have a filling replaced and two teeth fixed and they were great for that. Go if you must, just go aware.

Honestly, I felt like someone was trying to sell me a car. They tried to sell me toothbrushes, air floss, and Arestin treatment (which my new dentist said I did not need). I saw in my peripheral the nurse making hand motions to the other nurse putting in charges for the estimate. Im not sure what they were discussing but it made me extremely uncomfortable as to why they wished to discuss it behind my back. It just felt very shady.

I enjoyed my visit to Coast Dental! The staff including Dentist, Mizan, were very kind and nice. The waiting room is nice and the establishment overall is clean and has comfortable vibes. I was nervous at first because I was unsure if they would numb me all the way for my filling, unlike my previous dentist, but they did! I recommend people to go here and they serve people of all ages!

I was extremely nervous on my first visit, but the staff and the dentist were very patient and comforting. They work with me when I need to stop and check my blood sugar. I have recommend them to all my friends and family. The only issue I have had is changing the appointment times and/or dates. Which can be both good and bad. Thank you again for being so kind!!

Good job! Staff is always very nice and courteous. Shelly the hygienist is wonderful. Ive been coming to this office for a long time. I also like how treatment cost is presented to me before starting a procedure, that way its not so shocking. The ladies up front is so wonderful. Bea and Renee is always very welcoming. Mizan and Dr. Givens is fantastic.

Absolutely terrible service. Possibly the most unprofessional dentist Ive ever had the displeasure of dealing with. They refused to acknowledge any worries that I had,instead they relentlessly tried to sell me products that I did not need. I felt as if I could not trust their medical opinion because I felt they only cared about their commission.

Was happy with service provided by this facility. From my entrance Bea was customer friendly at the front desk. Dr. Givens and Mizan were patient and profesional. They worked with me when my insurance had excuses. I felt comfortable with their diagnosis and was glad to be served in this way. I would certainly recommend their service.

This is a review coming from a "wimp" when it comes to going to the dentist. The staff is so friendly. Milan did a wonderful job keeping me calm and answering my questions about getting a crown. Dr. Givens was awesome! He was very gentle and constantly checked with me to see if I was alright. I would highly recommend Coast Dental.
