I started out with Dr. Gifford when her office was right next to RT 295. She has always been very helpful with every visit... This pass September one of my cats, who was 13 years old, was acting strange so first thing on a Monday morning I called & was able to bring him in that day... We tried a few different medications & I even got to meet Dr. Mowry who was covering for her on the week-end... (I had sent her an e-mail & she took time out to call Dr Mowry to discuss what we should do. With nothing helping him I decided it was time to let him go over the rainbow bridge. Dr Mowry couldnt have been any kinder than he was...He got Mr. Clyde ready for his injection & brought him back to me (who was sitting on the floor) so I could hold him while he did it. Everyone was so great with me & I cant thank them enough for all they did. I know Ill be seeing them again because I still have Miss Bonnie here & I will always have a pet that will need some care from there... Be sure to try they out, you wont be sorry...

We have been bringing our dogs to Dr. Gifford for almost 20 years. We moved out of state 10 years ago and tried some local vets. We were never as happy with the local vets as we were with Dr. Gifford and decided it was worth the one hour drive to make sure our dogs got the care they deserved. Another reason we love AVVC is the vet techs. Like I said we tried a few other vets when we first moved. Some of the vet techs we encountered at these other locations seems like they were just there for a paycheck and not because they loved the animals. That is not the case at AVVC. All of the vet techs treat our fur babies like one of their own. Our dogs get more hugs, pets and kisses when they go to visit Dr. Gifford (and Dr. Mawry). Everyone there bends over backwards to make sure our poochies receive the best care. BEST VETS EVER!!!!!

My wife and I adopt senior and special needs dogs. Because of this, quality of care is the most important aspect when choosing a vet. I have been to 6 different vets and for various reasons, no longer use them. It may be the inability to diagnose properly, lack of staying on top of current methods or the staff may not be caring enough. We typically only have our friends 2-3 years, so we do everything in our power to make sure its the best part of their life. ALL of the staff at Abbott Valley goes above and beyond when we visit. They actually care and offer up options, all while being considerate of cost and your pets health and well being. If your pet needs something they cannot provide, they give you options of who can assist. We live out of state and drive over one hour to Abbott Valley and couldnt be happier with them.

My husband and I have been taking our pets (over the years, 4 cats and 1 dog) and each time we are greeted in a friendly/professional manner, all of our questions and concerns are addressed and the follow up after the appointment is excellent. The vets and vet techs are genuinely concerned about the well-being of our pets and are extremely kind and comforting to our pets in the examination. I highly recommend Abbott Valley Veterinary Center! 9/16/2015 update - I continue to have nothing but great things to say about Abbott Valley Veterinary Center. Each time we bring one of our pets in we are treated in a friendly/professional manner and all our concerns and questions are heard/answered. We have seen all the vets here and each one is wonderful! The vet techs and front desk staff are super with both us and our fur-babies.

In my opinion, Abbott Valley Veterinary Center, is the absolute best place around to take your fur babies for all their care. I have been taking my fur babies there for 20+ years and would never even consider going anywhere else. Dr. Gifford is very professional, compassionate, conscientious, friendly and at the top of her field. I know both Mollie and Bella are getting the best care possible. I also like Dr. Mowry and Dr. Tanguay and have 100% trust in all of them. The Techs there are also professional, friendly, compassionate and care for every patient as if they were their own with the love and care they show each of them. The facility is always spotless. If you are looking for the best Doctors, Techs and care for your fur babies look no further. You couldnt make a better choice.

Dr. Gifford and her amazing staff have been caring for my fur babies for approx 20 years. They receive the best care available and I receive peace of mind knowing they are in the best of hands. Dr. Gifford is both professional and compassionate at the same time. She is very knowledgeable and up to date on the latest techniques but will consult other professionals if she feels she needs to so that the best care is given and the best decisions are made. Her staff is caring, professional and friendly. Their love of animals shows in the way they greet them, talk to them and handle them. They are also very knowledgeable and will answer all your questions and if they are not sure of the answer will double check the answer they are giving. To me and my fur babies they are the BEST!!!!!!

I have been going to Abbott Valley since I took in a stray cat one winter about 12 years ago. All of the Drs are very compassionate and friendly. The Technicians are well trained and treat your pet as a family member. Through the years they always treated my Stuie to the best of their ability and even in the last months of his life I received the knowledge to understand my cats health needs. They supported me when I needed it the most, and I received a sympathy card from Dr. Brandy Tanguay when he passed. Besides my Stuie, Abbott Valley welcomed my cat, Lilly, about 3 years ago and now our newest member of the family, Daisy, will be loved there as well. The offices are always very clean and the staff always greats me and my pet children with smiles.

I have been taking my dogs, bunnies and cats to Dr. Gifford for 14 years. I have had the pleasure of dealing with Dr. Gifford as well as Dr. Tanguay and Dr. Mowry. Everyone is so professional and caring! When my Lab was diagnosed with cancer, Dr. Gifford administered all of his chemo and made sure his nausea was taken care of. I even received a phone call at 9:30 at night from her checking on my dog and talking about his bloodwork. I will be forever grateful to AVVC for taking such good care of my not only my Lab but all of my other dogs as well as my cats and bunnies!!

Abbott Valley Veterinary Center is a warm and inviting practice. The medical care is superb. Dr. Maury has never tried to "sell" unnecessary tests or immunizations. Rather, he provides his expert opinion about whether, based on the age of the pet, it is advantageous to have the vaccines or tests. I feel that my dogs are now getting the best care available. They always greet me and my dogs and knew them by name, just after a couple of visits. They are always helpful and professional. Thanks!
