Dont go unless your appointment is with Dr Summers. finally a year later my.mother had to drive me to the Dr. I saw Dr. debrinkett and he wouldnt even do any tests or bloodwork, all he tested me for was drugs and lupus, which i already showed him medical records, showing him that i dont have Lupus from the prior tests. He loaded me up on antibiotics for an entire winter until I finally saw my dermatologist in the spring who tested me for a various amount of diseases and viruses, then find out it was shingles. I will never go back to this office again everytime I walk in they are either drug testing me or refuse to test me for any sort of illness. And their test results take 1 to 2 weeks to come back so if you want to be misdiagnosed I highly suggest going here but now I am suffering with postherpetic neuralgia or recurring shingles we still cant know the truth because I still have medical issues to this day from being misdiagnosed I am 24 years old and should not even be getting the shingles virus. I would not recommend this office to anyone. And then when I finally came in for my medical records so I could switch my family care doctor, which was even more difficult. And all the Dr. Debrinkett ad to say was it was "misunderstanding." and now because of this I am told I have permanent nerve damage to my orbital I directly affecting the amount of time it took to realize from another doctor that I did indeed have shingles on my face, more importantly, along my sinuses, and eye. Meaning i couldve lost my vision if i haf kept going there. I strongly encourage anyone even if its the ER you need to go to go anywhere but Northville medical clinic. They also told me i had false heart murmur through an EKG, which sent me the to ER to show that absolutely nothing with my heart was wrong. Thanks Northville Medical Clinic, I could be dealing with this for weeks, 2 years, to the rest of my life now, and shingles, let alone acrossed your face, is the most excruciating pain you have felt; I highly highly suggest find another doctor for anyone out there who cares about their health or their loved ones.

I thought Id weigh in on these negative reviews.. Although it takes a long time in waiting room, I have always gotten good care and respect from doctors and staff.. I DO understand that people are frustrated with wait time, but that is often the case with clinics. Especially those that keep extended hours. I have mixed reviews because of this. Staff knows their stuff, but have many tasks at-hand. (Yes, some of them are less than enthusiastic and I have a feeling a lot of the delays are due to the workload. But then again, there is no room for MORE staff.) I love the fact that I can come just about any day OR evening and be seen. I dont have to wait weeks to see a doc. AND I can have X-rays, ultrasound, blood draws right there, without setting ANOTHER appointment with a testing facility.) So, theres the convenience factor. If you dont have time to wait, you may want to find another clinic. BUT... If you want docs who care, and know their stuff, Id stick with Medical Clinic of Northville.

Dr. Summers is one of the best practitioners I have ever seen. Extremely friendly and genuinely cares about his patients, and brilliant on top of that. I dont have enough nice things to say about him. The staff is generally friendly, but are also always busy, and they are often doing two things at once, so sometimes skip the niceties. Ive never had a rude experience with them, however. Some of the staff (such as those who do the blood drawings) are extremely friendly, recognize me every time, and make me extremely comfortable. Only serious negative I have is the timing issue. If you have a 2PM appointment, for example, dont plan to go back to work afterwards. Normally its a 30-45 minute wait in the waiting room, but Ive spent 3-4 hours in there more than once for what should have been a short visit. Its nice to not have to wait weeks to see my doctor, but it would also be nice to not have to wait two hours when Im there with an appointment.

I went to this clinic for 5 years and received excellent service from the Doctors. However, the quality of service from the office staff has greatly degraded over the years. Even when you do not own money (co-pay), it takes them a long time to check you out. They are distracted with other tasks. Their lack of energy and apathy gets the message across - they dont care!. Lastly, they billed me and not my insurance. I paid and then realized my mistake later. Attempted to get a refund from them has taken weeks without result even though they acknowledged to both myself and my healthcare provided that the money was owed to me. Telling them that I plan to take them to court does not work either. Their billing staff is incredibly rude and defensive. They billed me in August and still, as of Nov. 14th - no refund. This is after 3 phone calls, one letter and one phone call to them from my provider.

I have been going here for 32yrs & have never had a bad experience or have been mis diagnosed. Yes, the wait can be long sometimes, but thats because Dr. Summers & the other medical staff spend time with there patients, getting to know them & asking through questions. Yes, the office staff is over worked & they could use a few more assistance, but for the amount of people they see on a regular basis, they do a wonderful job. Always willing to go the extra mile to help a patient out.

I love the Medical Clinic of Northville. I drive an hour to see the doctors here, as they take the time to thoroughly understand my medical history and health issues and symptoms. While I will agree the wait can be lengthy at times, I take it to mean that everyone else is receiving the same quality care that I receive during my visit. The convenience of the lab and ultrasound on site, as well as the extended hours, are extra bonuses. Five star in my book!

Ive been using this doctors practice for 4 years and they always go out of their way to help. They work hard but they give you as much time as you need. On a number of occasions they have added in seeing my children during my appt time, which has really helped me. In many other places this would not be possible. You may have to wait sometimes to be seen but I think its worth it.

I came here because they were convenient and accepting new patients. On my first visit for a checkup, the doctor came in and called me "buddy". Also never properly introduced himself. I didnt get a good first impression. 2nd visit involved waiting over 2 hours. I got a copy of my blood work and left. Time for a new search.

Appointments mean nothing to this so called medical clinic. We had to wait 90 minutes, finally getting in to see the doctor at 4:30 for a 3 p.m. appointment. A few people ahead of us had waited even longer. There was no apology, no explanation, just a quick 5-minute visit and an $85 bill. Will NEVER go back.
