I came here in December of 2015 because I was having an allergic reaction. Nothing life-threatening; but was breaking out in hives and my eyes were swelling up. They took me back fairly quickly (which was great) and a female doctor came in. I wish I could remember her name. She spent over 10 minutes asking me what I could have had a reaction to. I told her I have absolutely no idea over and over again; after 15 minutes of this she concluded she didnt know the source (well, duh). I was getting worse as she just stood there. She was probably 9 months pregnant and didnt even evaluate me properly or get next to me; she acted like I was a monster. Finally the MA came to give me a steroid shot. He said "now were calling the squad" and I told him I refuse, since I was from out of town and I know it was going to rack up a huge bill. I knew all I needed was a steroid shot. The doctor came back in and basically said if I refused to go to the ER, then they wont give me the shot and "when you die it will be your fault." I was APPALLED that she would say something like that. When I asked her if I could get the shot then wait to see if I was fine so I could avoid the ER, she said and I directly quote, "we close in 20 minutes and I"m not waiting for you." Again, so absolutely rude and unprofessional. So of course I got the shot and she forced me to go through an ambulance. The ambulance and ER bill cost me about $3,000 altogether, and the hospital I went to even said I should send my bill to this facility because what she did was totally unnecessary. She literally just wanted me to leave so she could get off on time. I give them 2 stars because the billing department was very nice to me and filed my claim very quickly. But this place was a nightmare and I am still paying off these bills because of the quack doctor I saw. I would not suggest going unless you have absolutely nowhere else to go.

I was in Chicago for a business meeting and I had a bit of time before I had to leave for the airport. I decided to take a nice afternoon walk. I was around Michigan and Ohio and I tripped on the curb and smashed my face into the sidewalk. I was bleeding and thought that I had broken my nose. I found Immediate Care on my phone and made my way there. I walked in and they immediately (like their name) took care of me. They treated me so very well - I felt like I was at a Luxury Hotel! Everyone was extra friendly and excellent at what they did. I was treated, got a tetanus shot and x-rays - I needed to catch a flight and they got me in and out super fast. I want to commend the very professional Dr. Tom Barrett, Keyla (who gave me a shot didnt hurt), Chris and Danielle - what an awesome staff!

Was in Chicago for a few days with my son and he had a mishap and required stitches. Michigan Ave Immediate Care was in walking distance and the reviews were good so off I went. I wasnt sure what to expect as Im not native to Chicago. Given that we got in right before closing time, the staff was super attentive and made sure we got what we needed. Dr Michael Kupkowski made sure we got his full attention after he finished up with the previous patient. You can imagine how a 4 year old would respond to getting 3 stitches in their eye brow - yet Dr Kupkowski and his staff were patient and persistent, and together we got the job done! I highly recommend this group of people and I know where to go when Im back in Chicago :)

Wonderful! I am from KY and am 20 weeks pregnant. I just landed in Chicago when I noticed blood in my urine. I called my doctor at home and she told me to find an immediate care center right away. I wasnt sure what to expect but from the moment I walked in it was wonderful! The staff was very nice, they even asked my husband and I more than once if wed like something to drink. Dr. Merok was very nice and explained everything very clearly and was wonderful! He even called later in the day to see how I was feeling and go over lab results with me. Most doctors would have an assistant do that sort of thing. I was very impressed by my whole experience and would highly recommend this practice to everyone!

I am visiting from NY and have a severe urinary tract infection and no health insurance. Within 20-25 minutes upon arriving, I was seen by the first person. A test in-house, a test sent out, the time with the doctor, an anti-inflammatory, and meds came to $160. This was after a discount because I did not have insurance, and a few of the things mentioned above I was not charged for. I was in and out in an hour and 15 minutes, with everything I needed, and for a reasonable amount without getting upset at our nations healthcare systerm. They also have a comfortable waiting room with great complimentary snacks and fruit. What a nice experience.

I was able to walk in and just met with the doctor within a half hour for a physical. The doctor and PA were both very helpful and very approachable. I met with Dr. Barrett and he was able to get me in and out within an hour. I had gone in for a pre-op physical before my knee surgery and he helped me out with faxing my results to my surgeon and everything. Only reason Im lowering two stars is because they coded the procedure wrong and after getting a bill from my insurance, I found out they coded it as a female preventative measure. Update to follow once it is resolved.

Twice I have needed the services of Michigan Ave Immediate Care. Twice my experience was amazingly outstanding. No hesitation in evangelizing MAIC. Being without health insurance, other immediate care services have not been as "warm" to my visit. MAICs staff treated me with respect, understanding and real sense that they cared. On both visits MAIC Dr. Mathew and Dr. Rana went "above and beyond" to ensure I received the best of treatment, demonstrating the highest level of professionalism.

Ive been to Michigan Avenue Immediate Care several times as Ive come down with something. Its always easy to get an appointment here and even when I was between jobs and didnt have insurance, they gave me a decent discount on services, so I appreciated that. The doctors are all pretty good and I have been able to get the treatment I needed each time. The facilities are also well kept and really clean and they offer good snacks in the lobby while youre waiting.

I am new to town and felt a little ill on a Saturday morning. I wasnt sure where to go and found this place on google. I had a terrific experience. In the waiting room they have fresh fruit and will even have complimentary laptops with internet to borrow while you wait. Everyone was very courteous, including Dr. Luckey, and I was seen promptly. I was in and out within an hour. I highly recommend this clinic.
