Very disappointed with the product or the vision Works brand.. I truly understand that the employees have nothing to do with the quality of the product. I purchased eye wear for myself from vision works an estimated year ago. Included was the alleged scratch resistance and glare protection. Immediately my glasses started to break and had to return to repair the nose support piece. Then some how they got scratched and the glare protection started to fade showing residue spots. If that wasnt enough the hinge spring broke. Attempted to return and was told I had to purchase another frame. So I super glued them together and accepted that I would never return to Vision Works. As if that wasnt enough. My wife purchased glasses for my daughter from vision works recently. The same thing happened to my daughters glasses. The darn spring hinge broke as my daughter was attempting to put them on. My wife then went up to Vision works and because the warranty was over, we would have to purchase more frames. My warning to you is to not purchase any spring hinged frames from Vision Works. Stick with the old fashion screw hinge. Stay away from their special deals. In the end its not such a special deal.

I had been purchasing my glasses for the past several years from Hour Eyes at this location. So when I wanted a new set of glasses I went back to the same location. i wanted an unusual grind of trifocals. The young man waiting on me was very skilled and displayed great knowledge and concern for the customer. I decided that I want to think the purchase over after finding out they could not do the grind I wanted. I had another set of glasses that I wanted to replace the plastic bridge piece chewed on by my dog. The young man said that they did not carry the parts I needed. I asked what was the brand of the glasses so I could go on line to see if I could purchase the piece. When asked, the manager said that the make of the glasses was priveleged information and could not be given out. And she was totally unapologetic in her attitude. I was very shocked. Though the prices were good, with that lack of customer service Ill not set foot in that shop again and I will recommending to my friends and neighbors not to frequent that store either. I would rather do without than give my money to such a company. Mike

After a couple of months both glasses are breaking apart now. I bought two so if one breaks I would have another but soon I wont have any glasses. Considering I paid over $600 I would have expected them to last a long time. They never called me when the order was ready. I found because I called them after waiting so long. They took about four years to finally change my address even though I kept kept updating it in the form I filled out in the office. Clearly they do not look at the form so why bother making me fill it out. I found out they lied to me about their company not accepting my insurance after I paid. I ended paying more then I should of. After several times of going to their office and calling nothing has been solved. Never coming back, they ripped me off!!

2 years ago I came to this Visionworks Mount Vernon Plaza location and once again it still lacked quality service just poor. The tall Indian lady behind the customer service desk asked that I sign a HIPPA form and she herself could not clearly explain HIPPA in details WOW. Be careful what you are signing when you visit this location. I had a brief opportunity to speak with the Eye Doctor Nguyen before being examined little Asian woman who looked just as lost as her workers - very disengaged and disconnected. WHY ARE THESE PEOPLE STILL DOING BUSINESS IN THE PUBLIC SETTING... Such a disservice to the community and the customers its serves. For those customers who do not know better will accept anything placed before them -- they lack the knowledge of being informed.

Theyll work with you up until theyve got your money. I filled out their online form beforehand to update my vision insurance information and confirmed it with them during my eye appointment. Month and a half later I received a notice from my previous vision insurance telling me they got billed by Visionworks and that I havent been covered with them since my company switched to a different plan. Ive called 3 times to try and get it settled and all 3 times they said theyll call back which never happened.

I chose this place because of its proximity to my house and the reviews here. I tried 3 times just to make an appt. I kept being put on hold for extended periods. I finally got an appt for my 5 year old daughter. I showed up for the appt and was then told that the dr only sees children 6 and up. They would see my daughter but might not be able to give her a prescription. What a huge hassle. They should have told me that on the phone so I could have made an appt elsewhere and not waste my time.

Told me there was a doctor that could see me for an emergency, then when I got there told me I could wait 45 for a slight chance I could be seen. Why do that to someone when they are in pain?

They had a sale on glasses. When I looked at the sale frames all of the frames were cheap looking and their nicer frames were more expensive than Lenscrafter.
