This is a practice that takes a lot of pride in the experience they offer, or CAN offer. My last three visits to Rusnak Family Dentistry have been a total waste of my time, which credits to my worst dental experience ever... I recently went for my bi-annual cleaning, which, Ill admit went very well. The only reason I even went was because I felt a cavity. If it werent for this particular cavity, I probably wouldve put off the entire cleaning until next year. Regardless, the cleaning went well and Dr. Rusnak pointed out the cavity on number 30 (Yes, at this point, I know the numbers) needing to be filled. Dr. Rusnak also lied to me on this visit. He told me I had cavities in all my wisdom teeth and needed to have them extracted. BY FAR, the best lie I have ever been told. I wouldve never go them removed if it werent for his advice. So, thanks for that. Back to my real cavity, though... On my next appointment, Im scheduled to have my cavity filled by Dr. Adler. Love her. Shes so personable and her assistant, Brittany, was very pleasant. I felt as if I were at home as I watched HGTV and Dr. Adler chatted about not watching Star Wars with her husband. It was great. HOWEVER... Prior to filling the cavity, Brittany made the suggestion to have my Invisalign attachment removed. Dr. Adler said it wouldnt be necessary... No sooner than a week later, my orthodontist removes the attachment and voilà! A cavity! So I need to schedule another appointment... This appointment was to basically confirm that it is, indeed, a cavity and it can be filled in a short amount of time. Again, great news. TODAY, Friday, January 22, 2016, I received a courtesy email at 5:50 AM from my dentist office saying, "See you soon... contact us if we need to make any special arrangements..." blah, blah, blah. How nice of them. But when I arrive, the office is closed... Why didnt I get an email saying the office will be closed today, instead? Why is it taking me so many appointments to have a single tooth inspected? When was the last time the Koi pond was running? Whatever. Dont bother to reschedule me. And dont even need the $20 gift card. Better communication would be nice.

Today was my first appointment and it couldnt have gone any better! In the past, Ive always had an aversion to going to the dentist and I never went as frequently as I should. However, today was my first appointment at River Run and it is the best dental experience I have ever had. First, scheduling an appointment was extremely easy and I really appreciated the option of extended hours. Also, completing the new patient paperwork online saved a lot of time. When I walked into the office, I was pleasantly surprised at how clean and modern everything was. The receptionist was so polite too. They have a Starbucks coffee machine and offer free coffee, hot chocolate, tea, sparkling water, bottled water and various snacks in the lobby. The first appointment was so thorough. They used the latest technology to check the teeth and gums as well as to screen for cancer. The hygentist (Jessica) explained everything in detail. She took so much time answering my questions. She showed me every x-ray and every photo of each tooth to explain everything. Ive never had someone go into so much detail and explain things so well regarding my teeth. She was so friendly and made the appointment so wonderful. Next, I met Dr. Rusnak so was also extremely friendly. He answered all my questions. I go back in a couple weeks to get some work done and for once Im not dreading it. The payment specialist explained everything regarding insurance and cost so wonderfully, and she was also so friendly. They offer a comfort menu which includes many complimentary options to make the experience better (free lip balm, neck pillows, plush blankets, hot towels with essential oils, headphones, and tablets to listen to music.) All the dental chairs are massage chairs and the entire office smells so nice (not like the normal smell of a dental office). I definitely recommend you try this dental office!

Where Comfort Meets Dental I had no idea that River Run Dental existed until I attended a Yelp Elite Event here. River Run Dental Spa, where have you been all of my life? Needless to say, this has to be the BEST dentist office that I have ever been a patient. The staff truly takes time with each and every patient. They take pride in knowing that each patient feels comfortable while their dental needs are addressed. If youre a techie like I am, then you wont need to pick up the phone to speak to them. You have the option to text or email. They also have an app that you can use on your phone or tablet called Patient Reach. While your dental needs are addressed, they can provide you with essential oils, neck pillow, warm blanket, warm or cold compress for your eyes, water, etc. They even serve Starbucks coffees and teas. Lets not forget about those massaging chairs to relax you even more. They have state of the art equipment for X-rays and oral cancer screenings. They do offer in-house financing, as well as Care Credit. Their use of essential oils, should you like those, will relax you even more with the massaging chair. Did I mention how friendly everyone is? If you havent already contacted them for an appointment soon, what are you waiting for?

A few years ago my husband moved to the US from England. With his fiance visa he wasnt allowed to work for roughly a year and his teeth were absolutely atrocious. This wasnt from neglect as much as a poor dental system in the UK, but needless to say he had some serious issues. With few options we went to the free dental clinic run by a church near our home. It was there that we met Dr. Rusnack. He was so kind and the work he did to help my husband was such a blessing to us in those tough times. Now my husband has a great job as a supervisor at a charity organization and we have both moved our dental work to River Run Dental. I cant say enough good things about this place and it goes beyond the caliber of people that work there. Every time I visit here I feel like Ive been to the spa, who can say that about a visit to the dentist? Yet, the prices remain quite reasonable even with every comfort and amenity you could ask for. Also, my teeth look and feel fantastic! Most importantly though I sincerely trust Dr. Rusnak with my teeth as he always does what is in his patients best interest rather than trying to make a quick buck. I count myself very lucky to have found this place after seeing several different dentists over the last decade in Richmond.

Having just moved to the area, I had been looking for a new dentists office. I found River Run Dental online, and made the appointment on their website. From the moment I submitted my request for an appointment, my request was handled with great care. I received a phone call the next day, and follow up/reminder emails preparing me for my visit. In preparing for my appointment, I filled out a survey that asked about my preferences and what I was looking for in a Doctor. I appreciated that they took the time to ask these questions and even reviewed my responses with me when I came for my first appointment. The office was pristine, and I felt like Amy, my hygienist, was really taking the time to make it the best experience for me. She was extremely thorough and took the time to explain all of the different parts of the exam. Dr. Vinson was very friendly and took the time to learn more about me. Over all, I left the office feeling well taken care of and I was pleased with the experience. I will certainly be returning to River Run Dental.
