First Yelp review! I usually never leave a rating or review…until now. After years of avoiding the dentist due to a handful of bad experiences and busy work/life schedule and extensive online research for a good dentist, I have finally came across one that I can place my trust in and walk out smiling instead of crying like a baby from the pain and a dented bank account – TruSmiles Dental. From the minute I called in to schedule an appointment, I was already feeling relieved. Gina was super energetic, professional, and attentive. She got me a spot in the same week! She sent me an email with detailed instructions to fill out the necessary forms before-hand to maximize my appointment time, which I thought was very clever. The day of the appointment…was I scared? Yep. Wanting to turn back around and cancel? You bet. But it had to be done so I pushed myself along. As soon as I walked in, I was warmly welcomed by Gina. As she was checking all my paperwork and getting me set up, she chatted with me making the short wait feels even shorter! I was then greeted by the dental assistant (if only I had asked for her name again since I didn’t quite catch it when she introduced herself). But she was outstanding!! Literally talked with me and got to know me the whole time she was getting me situated and thoroughly taking my X-Rays, which really calmed my nerves down. Dr. Danny Truvan then came and introduced himself. He was very genuine and professional in explaining the steps he will be taking in taking care of me during the visit. The equipment and tools that he has were far beyond any that I have seen before in other dental offices. Other from the X-rays of my teeth, he also went in and took close up pictures of the ones that are problematic and should be taken care of. Dr. Truvan sat me down to show me the results of the examination. I was blown away from the level of details he provided me about my teeth and the best approach to in fixing the problem and be financially feasible at the same time. I was extremely grateful for all the insights in order to make quick judgments on what to do next, at that moment TruSmiles Dental have earned my trust completely. We went on with one of the procedures and spaced out the rest for a different visit so that he would have more bandwidth for one thing at a time. May I add, Dr. Truvan treats ONE patient at a time, which is amazing because all of his attention and focus is on YOU to ensure nothing goes wrong or gets rushed through. The procedure went far beyond my expectations, it was quick and painless. Of course there will be some sort of discomfort, but I have felt much worse and can assure you that this was nothing compared to my other experiences. When it was all done, Gina broke down the prices for the corresponding procedures, provided me the total cost, what the insurance will cover, and what will be out of pocket for me - super simple and easy to follow. I was grateful for every little thing about my experience at TruSmiles Dental. I could not have been more fortunate to come across this gem. Glad to say that I have finally found my place for a brighter looking smile!

This past Saturday I ended up chipping my two front teeth. I wont tell you how exactly, but the whole ordeal left me looking like a well-dressed Asian pirate. So I contacted Dr. Truvan on extremely short notice and told him my situation. He calmed me down (Over the phone mind you. Personal service win.) and talked me through it, and made an emergency appointment for me only a couple days later. I walked in, greeted by his attractive and friendly staff. I filled out the necessary paperwork and within minutes I was prompted for X-rays. Soon after Dr. Truvan sat me down and gave me my options for both the immediate future and long term. I will have to say though, the procedure was relatively uneventful, and thats a good thing. He was actually able to sneakily inject my gums with the numbing stuff without me even noticing. He took care of not only my two front broken teeth, but ended up taking extra time out of his schedule to basically rid an entire area full of cavities and broken fillings. I was pretty amazed. After it was done, I looked in the mirror and chomped down. Not only did he get everything perfect, he did it on the first attempt! All in all, the experience was better than I ever could have hoped for. Dr. Truvan is a pro, learned, an accomplished expert in his field. Dentistry to him is an art, and your mouth the canvas. I can definitely say he takes pride in his work. He and his staff are clearly knowledgeable, skilled, and focused on the needs and condition of the patient. Hell sit down with you, explain your options and help you choose the best one for you. Oh one more thing, his place is super clean, modern, and neat. Im no expert, but the machines and technology he uses seems pretty top notch, advanced cameras, cool suction contraptions, lots of screens, and like a panoramic X-ray machine.

Dr. Truvan and his staff are Northern Virginia’s elite in terms of dental care. In fact, I have been a patient of Dr. Truvan for over ten years and have nothing but wonderful things to say. Upon leaving the area for a couple years, I remained a patient of Dr. Truvan and traveled over four hours (e.g. 250+ miles) for my many dental appointments. Obviously, I would not have made the long trips if Dr. Truvan was not first-class. Actually, Dr. Truvan is in a class all by himself, and I am very grateful that he has always exceeded my expectations. Dr. Truvan has an unwavering commitment to excellence and quality that is palpable by merely walking in his dentistry. He takes time to explain the procedures and answer any questions, not to mention he has a wonderful bedside manner. It is very apparent that Dr. Truvan genuinely cares about his patients and is passionate about his work. Finally, Dr. Truvan has undoubtedly made an investment in his State-of-the-Art technologies, which still blows me away to this day – from X-Ray machines that reduce the amount of radiation exposure, to digital radiography imaging, to precision anesthetics, to teeth whitening, to watching your favorite TV show while sitting in the dental chair. Dr. Truvan has revolutionized dentistry by making the entire experience feel seamless. I recommend making an investment in yourself and schedule an appointment with Dr. Truvan – I guarantee you will be impressed.

I have been going to Dr. Truvan for over 10 years. I love the atmosphere that his office creates. Dr. Truvan spaces out his appointments so that you never have to wait in the waiting room and all his attention is on you. His office is very clean and modern with new and up-to-date technology (you can even watch TV in the chair!). I also enjoy his staff! His receptionist, Gina is very friendly and personable and I always feel welcomed! He has done an excellent job whether it is a six month check up or a cosmetic procedure. I always leave very pleased! Check him out!
