Ive been shopping around for a family dentist and I had hoped that this office would work given the convenient location, but it was a complete disaster. On my first appointment, a cleaning, the hygienist not only completely soaked my shirt and hair while conducting the cleaning, she took a personal phone call halfway through my hour time slot and was unable to finish my cleaning requiring I make a follow-up appointment. They couldnt schedule the follow up for two months, but they had time to squeeze me in to fill some small cavities "preventatively" so I scheduled the two appts and hoped itd be better next time. Well, I came back today for those fillings arriving ten minutes early as required by the office, but didnt see the doctor until after I complained about the wait almost 50 minutes into my 1.5 hour appointment slot. They said if I wanted to leave, I could, but Id be charged for missing the appointment so I stuck it out. The dentist came in shortly after and casually asked me to open my mouth the way any dentist would to get started. Without any warning or dialogue about what he was doing, he gave me four shots of numbing agent and walked out of the room saying hed be back in one minute. After another twenty minutes, I walked out to the nurses station with a partially immobile face to ask if the dentist was coming back, they said he had two more patients to see before hed be in to see me. I inquired if he was going to be able to complete my fillings before my appt ended and they said, probably. Long story short, he finally came in and did the three fillings in what felt like a slap-dash kind of way. Needless to say, after the poor hygienic treatment I received after the first cleaning and the disrespect for my time today I wont be going back to the Burns office. The truly unfortunate thing is that I cannot even finish my first cleaning as they billed it as one of my two annual procedures... if Id gone back that would have been it for the year and now Im out of luck either way, half clean and half not or one cleaning for the next twelve months. AWFUL.

I have been going to Dr. Burns for years. The dad first, then switched to his son. Today, I had the worst experience with the front desk staff. Rhonda McGraw was awful!! She handed me the standard forms and asked if my insurance had changed. I said it was the same. She said the names of my insurance and that they did not take the dental, I said, youre right, I changed because you guys did. My medical is the same, which covers my dental cleaning. Anyway, I began filling out the forms and she opens the glass to ask if I found my card for the dental insurance. I said no, I do not have the card, but I will look it up. I stopped completing the forms, and obtained the name of the new Dental Insurance. I continued to complete the forms and she then opens the glass to tell me theyll have to reschedule because it is 30 minutes after the appointment time. Mind you it was only 2:20. I took her name, provided her the completed forms told her she was ridiculous and walked out the door. Will never stay for poor customer service. Its office policy is what she told me as I asked for her name. Lady please. Policy Dr. Burns way right out of business with that attitude, especially when your customer is there for an annual cleaning covered by her main health insurance.

I have been with Burns Family Dentistry for quite awhile. The entire staff has always been very kind and considerate. They answer any questions I have concerning my bill and/or insurance matters. Dr. Preston Burns has been my dentist since his Dad retired. I like his methods of dealing with me, he gives me options for my treatment. There are times I know the option I choose is not the one he would. He has NEVER tried to talk me into something other than what I want. He respects my feelings so therefore I take any and every opportunity to sing his praises.

I went into burns dental for my first check up they told me I needed a root canal, so 3 weeks Im back in the chair I thought everything was fine until they leaned me back and just started drilling without numbing me or giving me the gas, I had to stop the dentist and I stood up because I was in so much pain they told me to get over it, so at that point I didnt even let them finish I left then as I was walking out the door they started to laugh at me as it was so,e sort of cruel joke

Had two root canals today, and Dr. Burns administrated these procedures flawlessly. No pain encountered and he explained what was being done. I have complete confidence in Dr. Burns and his staff. I highly recommend Dr. Burns and his staff to anyone needing any dental work.

Everyone here is very friendly and makes you feel at ease. I felt comfortable from the time I checked in until the time I checked out. And the filling Dr. Burns did looks fantastic. I cant even tell where the filling is, it looks so good. Great dentist and staff!!

I required a deep cleaning and I expected discomfort due to shots etc. to my delight, a topical numbing agent was used and the procedure was relatively easy! The hardest part was keeping my mouth open...

I look forward to the day that they shift to digital records, having to fill out paperwork each time by hand gets old! However, I understand they are making the transition so thats a good thing :)
