Capital City Nurses was recommended by a friend and neighbor to care for our dear friend, who recently passed away after being given a diagnosis of terminal cancer. I cannot begin to express our gratitude for the fine nursing aides that cared for our friend. They were kind, caring and efficient. One particular caregiver was there each night and was truly invested in the comfort of our friend. Another caregiver sat at his bedside and talked throughout the day about anything our friend wanted to. Yet another caregiver was gentle and kind and when he was leaving his shift, he bent down with his face close to our friends and spoke to him and stroked his face and head as he told him goodnight. All of this special care for someone that we love and filled our hearts with gratitude. I am not sure where they find the "Angels", but we are blessed to have met them.

Without question, CCN was key to our familys ability to care for my Mother at home. We cycled through at least 5 agencies before CCN, and honestly, I had given up hope that we could find a reliable agency with quality aides. CCN proved me wrong. Our care coordinator, Bess Muffley, took the time to understand our needs, and immediately and openly addressed any concerns we had. We never had an issue with aides not showing up, even during inclement weather. The CCN aides, themselves, are far better trained than any of the other agencies with which we had worked. The aides are also kind, and considerate, and exhibit a level of compassion that one would only expect from a family member. Gladys, Angela, Virginie, and others - they are true angels. To all the staff at CCN, thank you for helping us through a very difficult time.

I recommend Jacob Gbla very highly as a C N A and caregiver. He told me once that he treated "his Captain" (my father) as he did his own father. His father was certainly in good hands - as he treated my dad always with the utmost respect. If I had to pick one attribute among Jacobs many (responsible, resourceful, willing to learn, smart, good common sense, etc), it was his constant effort to get my father "to try". As dads mobility became increasingly difficult, Jacob would always say "Try, my captain" --- and dad would try and accomplish whatever effort he was making. My dad was always "a do-er" as he would put it....and jacob helped him maintain that spirit. Jacob is strong, perceptive, patient and caring. We were blessed to have him with us.

Capital City Nurses is all about caring, quality, and customer service. The care is evident from the first time you make a call and a real, friendly voice answers the phone. It is evident from the responsiveness and professionalism of team members such as Ariana and Deedee. It is embodied by the wonderful, talented care givers who have graced my mothers home. The quality of every interaction means that stress and worry are lessened considerably allowing family to focus on whats important - quality of life. The customer service is unparalleled. How often do you come away from every interaction with a company or organization feeling better and touched by a friendly, understanding person? I couldnt recommend Capital City Nurses more highly. For over twenty-five years, my father was the primary caregiver for my mother who required 100% care - feeding, dressing, bathing, etc. When he moved to Washington, DC to be closer to myself and my sister, he counted on all of you at Capital City Nurses to make sure that her needs were met when he couldnt be available. Within months of my mothers passing not too long ago, my fathers health failed and it was his turn to need care. Since Dad had counted on you over the years, it was easy to turn to you for help. Although the hardest time of my life, what a relief it was to know that our friends at Capital City Nurses could step in and sit with him as I tried to juggle my own life. Thank you for helping our family through various stages of difficult times.

I have contracted with Capital City Nurses to arrange for 24/7 in home care for an elderly aunt. Four months into this project things have gone very smoothy. What impresses me most is their professionalism and their "can-do" attitude. When I described my needs the group mapped out a thoughtful and cost effective solution. They have also given me excellent references for other services which have turned out great. They even do follow-up calls and emails to assure that everything is going well. I cant recommend them more highly. I have been a practicing physician for 37 years and I know what good support services can mean. Because of them I believe the quality and length of my aunts life has been enhanced

Jason Krause facilitated my introduction to Capital City Nurses. The care was timely and reliable. If you want consistent caregivers, make your preference known and if you want long-term care, you are likely to get it. The aides showed up on time and although their direct billing system can be a bookkeeping burden, you can consider hiring employees of Capital City Nurses to make this process simpler, if more expensive. My father particularly enjoyed his nurse Anthony Sam and we are grateful to him and every single CNA who spent timing helping him. This agency works and makes your burden lighter so you can spend more time enjoying your loved one.

She helped to make my loved ones last few days very comfortable. Although we only needed her care for a very short period of time you would have thought she and my loved one were lifetime friends.
