I don’t often write reviews, but feel it is important to call out a company when they do good work. In the case of BrightStar – they did exemplary work. I could share several stories of Brigthstar caregivers going really well above and beyond the call of duty. We had engaged Brightstar to help provide my spouse with care at home following an accident and Brightstar did an amazing job. From providing expert help getting us transitioned out of a rehab center, to providing thoughtful skilled nursing visits with a human touch, arranging for specialists to come to our home for house calls, attending doctors meetings with us to help us ask questions and write notes… one aide even stayed at home well past her shift while we were tied up at a doctor’s appointment to take delivery of a hospital bed while we were out. The service was truly exceptional. All the caregivers were courteous, knowledgeable, helpful and professional. Everyone, from the owners to the office staff to the caregivers and nurses were very patient-centric and thoughtful. I unequivocally recommend BrightStar for anyone needing home health assistance, skilled nursing, or physical and occupational therapy.

My Family and I moved in with mom after her Alzheimer’s diagnosis in 2012. We have been a client of Brightstar since 2013. We had used many other agencies prior to Brightstar, so when I found them I knew I found a gem. My mom would not be able to live out her days in the comfort of her own home without them! Kerry and Robert (the owners) have always gone out of their way to make sure our crazy schedule and household (2 dogs, 1 cat, lots of humans) are accommodated. And, if by chance a care provider doesn’t click with mom, they immediately work to find someone else who will. But most importantly, they and all their staff, truly care about my mom, and provide her (and my whole family!) exceptional assistance as we battle our way through this horrific disease.

I have only been working for Brightstar for a short time. However, in the time I have worked there I have never seen a company go above and beyond for their clients and caregivers the way they do. They also set a higher standard than other agencies by only hiring the very best. They also provide continue educational classes for free so their caregivers remain certified and continue to provide the higher standard of care they are KNOWN for. The owners treat us like family and as a result we work hard for them. They work hard to give us such a positive environment to work in. I truly love working here because they truly care about their clients and staff. I know that everyday I go to work our clients and staff are in great hands. Thank you for all you do for us!

Home care provides many challenges, and in my 3 years with BrightStar, the owners were very focused on understanding what the clients needs were and assigning staff who could meet those needs. For the record, Cheryl Chamberlain is an employee at Bright Star Care of Fairfax (Unprofessional & Disorganized to say the least) This organization is very unprofessional. Applied here and was given an interview date/time. She called 1 hour before interview time to cancel and re-schedule because the "owners" are not suddenly available. After 3 days the position is filled. Dont waste your time with this unprofessional and disorganized company.

The staff at the office do their best to give you flexible schedules based on your availability especially Doneka who is very friendly and always there to help.
