About a year ago, I walked into Secaucus Animal Hospital with my new puppy, full of questions, and scared stiff as a new mom. I was greeted by all staff with open arms and smiles which immediatley put me at ease. Once I met my puppys new veternarian, Dr. Andrea Cavedo, I was 100% sure I was in the right place. She examined my puppy completely with gentle hands and stayed with me for over an hour to answer all my questions. She assured me that she and her partner veternarian Dr. Hatch would be there for me via phone or email anytime I needed anything. She wasnt kidding...over the next few months my phone calls were returned promptly and my puppy was given all the care she needed during visits to be a healthy and thriving pet. The staff and veternarians are so professional and really go the extra mile to give excellent customer service. I know this personally because late one Friday evening 15 minutes before closing time, my precious puppy had an accident and injured her leg and paw. The receptionist calmed me over the phone and told me to bring her right in without hesitation. I arrived there frantic and very upset to both Drs Cavedo and Hatch there ready to assess her injuries immediatley; do I need to remind you it was a Friday night at closing time?! The veternarians also took the time to calm me down and reassure me my puppy would be fine. They even gave me a drink of water. My accident prone pup did have a fracture which required weeks of follow-up care. The Docs were right, she was fine and recovered 100%. Dr. Cavedo always made sure my pup was comfortable and without pain during her recovery. I am a "single mom" so I did worry initially about the cost. Pet Care in New Jersey unfortunatley can be very expensive due to the high costs of rental space for veternarian hospitals. My opinion is that the total cost of my pet care at Secaucus Animal Hospital has been very fair and even generous at times. I was able to make payments instead of paying in full for her paw fracture and her spaying which really was a big help. Money and payment is not the driving force of the staff of Secaucus Animal Hospital, the timely, compassionate, and complete care of their patients is. I feel very lucky to have Dr. Cavedo and the staff of Secaucus Animal Hospital as the primary caregivers of my beloved dog. I reccommend Secaucus Animal Hosital for all pet owners who demand professionalism, quality of care, reasonable costs, and most of all genuine love and compassion for all animals who enter their hospital.

When considering a new Vet for our two 10-year old bichons, I looked to online reviews as one of my resources. Fortunately, I found the most wonderful practice at Secaucus Animal Hospital and now it is time to return the favor. We have been taking our dogs, Spot and Rose, to Secaucus Animal Hospital for approximately two years now and in that time they have had regular check-ups, unscheduled visits, emergency visits, boarding and surgery, pretty much everything. We could not be more pleased with Dr. Hatch and the entire practice at Secaucus Animal Hospital. It is conveniently located, has parking, great hours and from the first time we entered their beautiful and clean facility I knew we were on the right track. Then we met Dr. Hatch, Dr. Danforth, the Vet Techs and Staff, and each and everyone has been genuinely caring, knowledgeable and professional. Now to the point of this review, Dr. Hatch, on his day off, and with the assistance of Dr. Danforth, Dr. Brown and the entire Secaucus Animal Hospital village saved our dogs life by removing a 3.5-pound mass, along with her spleen. From the moment we saw Dr. Danforth for the initial consultation to when Dr. Hatch removed her stitches two weeks later, everything was handled with the upmost care and concern for us as well as our pet. We were given detailed information to assist us in making an informed decision, followed up with a lot of support. In our last visit I told Dr. Hatch that even if Rosie had not survived the surgery, I could not have been more grateful for everything everyone had done, and I meant it. But she did make it (and so did we ;) So, if you are considering veterinarians, and if you are reading this you probably are, I would encourage you to make an appointment for a check-up. If your experience is anything like ours, you will be hooked.

Hello, my 12 year old beagle Gracie needed tobe eauthanized and creamated as I wanted the ashes the same day. I google same day cremations and came across Seacaucus animal hospital and they were able to accomadate me in the early morning. I arrived with my son and dog and was greeted by a wonderful caring receptionist, she had a room ready for my beloved pet and after weighing my beagle I was directed into a private room where I can spend sometime with my Gracie, a very nice young lady who is a vet tech knocked gently on the door and asked if she can come in and I said yes"....she kindly spoke softly and asked if we needed anything water, tissues and more time which was wonderful and very appreciated. Soon there after Dr Hatch came inside and greeted us with such compassion while comforting my Gracie. Dr Hatch sat down on the floor with us and explained the procedure of a intervnous sedative which will put my Gracie into a deep sleep and that it will take several minutes to take affect then I can spend more time with my Gracie before euthanization. Dr Hatch and his vet tech stood with us throughout the whole process and comforted us. The experience compassion and dedication of Dr Hatch and his staff made this journey for my son and I much easier than I thought.I commend and thank you all at Secaucus animal hospital.

When they made Dr. Hatch, they broke the mold. He is the vet I have been searching for. I have been to more vets than I can count in New Jersey and New York and just have not found the right one, until Dr. Hatch. He is everything I was looking for. Dr. Hatch and everyone at the office exude warmth and compassion from the minute you call to make an appointment. Dr. Hatch takes his time with each patient and even if there is a waiting room full of clients, he will never make you feel rushed. He promptly returns phone calls and will spend several minutes on the phone with you. He has the perfect balance of professionalism, skill and knowledge, and compassion and warmth. Im telling you, this vet is too good to be true. He has cats for adoption in the waiting area and multiple pets of his own which is also a testament to his genuine love of animals. Lastly, and Im sure important to most, his prices are very reasonable and he definitely is not about the money. In fact he discusses options and tries to minimize costs and admininster tests only when necessary. I feel so fortunate to have found Dr. Hatch and as for as long as I have pets and he is in practice, he will be my vet.

Last Friday I arrived home to find my cat Caloo in extreme distress having ingested liquid hand soap which she somehow discovered how to discharge from an automatic dispenser. She was unable to retract her tongue, eyes glazed over, nose runnning and having difficulty even moving. Thanks to Dr. Hatch and the staff at Secaucus Animal Hospital she has made a complete recovery from the ordeal. Despite the late hour, Caloo was afforded a high level of attention and treated on the spot for her high fever and the irritation caused by the soap product. I am overflowing with sincere graditute and thanks for the services provided at the Secaucus Animal Hospital which were both highly professional and truly compassionate. Admittedly in a state of panic en route, I was relieved and had a sense of comfort and confidence as soon as I arrived at the office knowing that Caloo was in the hands of a Vet who really, really cares. For anyone who loves their pet and desires the ultimate best care for them, the Secaucus Animal Hospital is the place to go. Thank you Dr. Hatch and Staff. Caloos Caretaker
