I visited Dravosburg Pet Hospital for the first time at the end of Nov this past year. I didnt receive a warm welcoming as a new patient. I wasnt even introduced to anyone. I wasnt even acknowledged when I walked in. After waiting 40 min, a girl led me to a room where Dr Visco was sitting. There was not one chair or bench in the exam room for me to sit. I had to stand the whole examination. I found this very strange that no one has anywhere to sit. After the exam, I was led out to the front desk to pay. No one reviewed the charges with me. I was asked to sign and given the meds for my dog. After I went home, I went to review the charges. 1) I was quoted one price which I believe was $35 for the office visit; yet I was charged $65 for it. 2) I also noticed that Dr Visco gave me prozac for my dog with the instruction label stated 1 and 1/2 tablets per day; however when I looked in the bottle, there were CAPSULES not tablets. There is no way possible to give 1/2 of a capsule! 3) I was also charged for ear cleaner that I did not receive. 4) Visco had prescribed Treflaxis for my dog (for heartworm) since he couldnt take Heartquard anymore as it was beef flavored and may be what he was allergic to. Went I researched it on the internet I read it was beef flavored too! So what was the point in changing meds?? Obviously Visco did not know it was beef flavored. I called the office and told them all of the problems I experienced. I talked to VIsco herself and I told her I would be coming in for a refund the next day. She said the office visit should have been $50 not $35 or $65 which I was quoted. HUH?? She also said that I could give my dog only one capsule of prozac instead of 1 and a half but she said she didnt think it would work anyway. HUH?? I didnt even mention the Treflaxis. I just wanted my refund and be done with it. When I walked into the office the next day. No one came up to me and apologized for all the mistakes that were made. In fact, the reception was very hostile. I have no idea who I even talked to. If she was the office manager she didnt tell me. Then she says that Visco said for me to go elsewhere!!!! Seriously? Its not like I was a raving lunatic in front of customers or yelling profanities at anyone. She gives me my refund and I go to my car. This time I inspect my refund receipt right away. And of course the girl could not subtract and owed me more money. When I went back in the rude girl looked at me incredulously ad said, "So we owe you a quarter??" I dont give a crap if it was a PENNY. They owed me money. And I was sick of being ripped off. I WILL NEVER GO BACK TO THIS BUSINESS AND I HAVE FILED A COMPLAINT WITH THE BBB. We love Dr. Ariel!! We had a great first visit and will definitely be back. Our dog had a skin irritation and a rash and black skin developing. Dr. Ariel actually scraped Maxs skin and reviewed it under a microscope - which is way more than our old vet did (comparing what Max looked like to pictures in 3 books from the 80s) and she even biopsied a bump on Maxs leg right then and there just to be safe. All of the staff was super nice. We didnt feel like we were taken advantage of price-wise like we have at other vets, and they didnt push any new meds on us. There are a lot of pets roaming around, we were greeted by a big cat when we sat down to fill out paperwork, and a golden retriever wandered in the room during our appointment (super friendly though), so just be aware of that. I am happy weve found our home vet!!

I wish I could rate it lower then one star. They told me my dog needed all her teeth pulled and it would cost $400. They only pulled half of her teeth. I should have been given $200 back!... When I went in for her bladder stones the vet gave us the wrong dog food for her bladder stones. She had round stones they treated her for square or triangle stones. We didnt know that until a different vet told us a few days ago when we had her put to sleep. They also failed to tell us she had a kidney infection. This all stemed from her teeth not being pulled. In result it was too late for her. She ended up dying because of them. She suffered for 7 months and died because of them giving her the wrong food, not pulling all her teeth, and not treating her for the kidney infection.

My wife and I had been taking our cats to the same vet for 12 years until we moved. Im so glad we found an excellent doctor nearby. Dr. Visco and her staff are amazing. I took my 12 year old tabby to have a newly developed cough looked at and he had his first total meltdown at a vets office. At 25 pounds, he was a handful (like a tiger cub) but the staff was patient and considerate the entire time. After administering medication for his cough, Dr. Visco prepared and went over a dietary plan to get the big guy under control. We are beyond grateful to have found our new vet.

My cats peaches and cream are patients there. Mary, Ariel, & Mark are always very helpful with our animals and their care. One night I remember Peaches got overstimulated when we played with him and we thought he had a seizure we called them after hours and Dr Mary was so helpful on calming us down and helping us in directions to keep on eye on him and bring him in if necessary!! This family is so amazing!! They even helped that poor homeless cat (Katniss) out when a kid shot it with an arrow! Best care in the Pittsburgh area!!

My dog lost all his hair, they said if he got fixed it would bring his hair back, it didnt. They told me a few other things and that didnt work either. They sent me a letter in the mail saying he needed a few shots. When i took him to get his shots they said he couldnt have them that day. Even though they did nothing for her dog they still charged me $45! For doing absolutely nothing but say he couldnt have his shots! Beware of their lies! Beware of their greed! These people are nothing but money hungry theives.

Well first off "Nunya"...you seem like the kind of person that shouldnt even take care of another living thing...ever.. second.. 7 months and you wait til your dog is dying to get a second opinion on whats wrong? 3rd, Im sure they gave you an estimate and probably tried to salvage some so your dogs teeth so it could still eat regular food...grow up and do everyone a favor and never own another animal as long as you live...
