Ive had many dogs throughout the years and have dealt with several wonderful veterinarians. About a year and a half ago, I adopted two rescues. Zeva, a Pit mix who is the sweetest little girl and a 4 month old Lab mix puppy (Ryker) who was found abandoned at 3 weeks old. Clearly he had a traumatic start in life. He has severe hip dysplasia, aggression issues and most recently, an intestinal blockage from something he ingested. Ryker has proven to be a challenge with his health and behavioral issues at times but we love him. He had seen 3 other vets as a puppy. It was Dr. Brewer who found the hip problem and we now have him on medications to help ease his pain as well as another to help keep the overly aggressive behaviour at bay. Dr. Brewer and her staff spent all day with him yesterday treating a life threatening bowel obstruction, watching him closely and calling me throughout the day to give updates. Today on their day off they came back to the office to x ray Ryker again to see if there had been any progress. Id venture to say most other vets would have just referred us to an emergency vet instead of giving up their day off. The staff at Maybank Animal Hospital really does go above and beyond in my opinion. Dr. Brewer and her staff are phenomenal people! They truly care for not only our pets but for us too.

I took my dog in to see about getting a rash checked on her stomach. At the end of the appointment I was left to believe my dog was pregnant even though I knew it was impossible. They charged me almost $100 for a radiograph that didnt even show she was pregnant but yet I was still told she was surely pregnant and Dr. Harper made me listen to a heartbeat with a Doppler. I even asked if there was any way it could be her heartbeat and was told no. Long story short I took her to be spayed a week later at a low cost clinic and found out she was absolutely not pregnant. I left this place with false information about my dog and a very expensive bill. I sent an email letting them know how they were wrong about her being pregnant when I found out the truth and didnt even receive an apology. How insulting. Please go to someone with more experience!

Ive been going to Dr. Brewer for at least 5 years now with 3 of my cats and 2 "long term pet sit" cats. Ive been there for everything from basic check ups to bladder stones, an amputated tail, a really sick cat requiring oxygen and IV fluids, ear hematomas, and a long term problematic cat who inappropriately urinates. Dr. Brewer and her staff are always amazing. They are professional, but understanding. I dont feel judged for calling with the simplest questions or for tearing up when were doing a routine dental. I know the staff at Maybank gets its-- these arent just pets. Theyre our family.

Such a nice staff! They honestly care about your animals AND you. They have gone above and beyond every time I have been in there (a lot lately with a sick cat). Their prices are competitive and best of all, they are opened on Saturday AND Sunday...until 4PM. Lots of vets are opened until noon on Saturday, but knowing if I had a weekend pet emergency and they would be opened is really comforting (for my emotional state and my wallet).

The staff and Dr. Brewer make all the difference. I am so impressed with their acumen and the level of care my pets get as well as the amount of time they devote to ensuring I understand the potential issues my pets face. They have great products also and can be very flexible on scheduling. Overall - their COMMUNICATION is TOP NOTCH and that can make all the difference in the health care profession, right?

Dr Brewer and the staff have made first time dog owners, like myself, feel so at ease with the whole experience. They make us feel like part of the family and not just a customer. Rocco, our French Bulldog, attends daycare during the week and shows his excitement the moment we pull into the parking lot. I trust them with him in every way. To give them five stars is an understatement.

I definitely recommend Dr Brewer and the staff at Maybank Animal Hospital. They are always friendly and above all honest. After having experienced half hearted veteranarians in the past i can assure you that not all vets are created equal. The pricing here is fair and the care my dog has,recieved thoughout his debilitating heartworm treatment has been top notch.
