This hospital has taken excellent care of our dogs & cats. The vets are knowledgeable and friendly; the staff are as well. Moreover, they treat us like valued members of a community, not as a means to make a dollar. Case in point: our dog Lucy needed surgery to remove a growth in her paw. The cost of the surgery was beyond our means at that moment, so West Main worked out a payment plan at no interest. Lucy received the care she needed, and it turned out that the growth was in fact malign. The surgery removed the cancer in time to prevent it from spreading. Lucy healed quickly and, at age 10, has the energy and happiness of a puppy. West Main quite literally saved our dogs life, and we will be clients for the rest of our lives!

my Dachshund louie had been with Dr.fisher for 9 years (his whole life). The staff is all super friendly and office is clean. they get busy on Saturday but thats because they are that good!!!! the reason I love this place because I board Louie here, he has IVDD (weiner dog discs disorder) so I cant leave louie with family/home. they take really good care of him, feed and walk him. they have a small grassy area behind there bldg. also their neighbors is the Alhambra fire depth. so I figure in case of any emergency they have the firefighters next door. I know seems odd that would bring me comfort...but it does!

Dr. Leia Castaneda is the absolute best vet Ive ever been to. Shes kind, honest, compassionate, knowledgeable, and she truly cares about the well being of her patients. I wouldnt think of taking my pets to anyone else! She used to be with VCA arden in Glendale, but when she moved to West Main, I followed her. I live in Glendale, but I m willing to drive all the way to Alhambra just to see Leia. Shes the best! The staff is also wonderful too. They always remember my name and make me feel welcome.

This is the worst animal hospital in Alhambra. Totally rip off. Trust me, try call other hospital and get a second opion before any major operation, x-ray, vaccine shot or blood test. This animal hospital charges about 300% higher than most other animal hospitals. I saved more than $1,000 just by visiting another animial hospital for my puppy.
