It seemed very impersonal. I was told to sign in and fill out all this paperwork, including my SS # twice which I didnt give. I had asked to have my exam and cleaning at the same time to make use of my 2016 insurance but that was ignored though I asked three times. When I was called back they just started doing stuff to me without explaining what they were doing or why they were doing it or how much what they were doing would cost. A few different people poked around then the doctor came in and said you have one cavity that we will have to put a crown on and your other crown have some "radioluminescence" which might be a sign of infection so we need to redo that. Then I was shuffled off to a fourth room to wait to be brought to a fifth room to go over the cost. This fellow looked a bit deflated that my insurance was as good as it was. I assume no charge for today since I didnt pay. The cleaning will be $20 a service I knew to be covered in full. I said why? He said it covers all but the fluoride treatment which it covers more than half of, again with the deflated face. I said thats the stuff that feels like gooey nail polish on my teeth that I cant wait to brush off and is mostly for kids. He said yes, I said take it off. On to the cavity in need of a crown, he pulled that up and was astonished that the whole procedure would only cost me $222. He said "your insurance is really good, do you work in healthcare". I was astonished at the initial cost of $1500 to fix one tooth. Then the Redo on the existing crown which might show signs of infection, mind you I have no pain at all. Another $1500 for that tooth but this time I have to pay $750 because its a redo of previously paid work. I wasnt given a copy of this plan of treatment, not was I given an appointment for my cleaning or a receipt for todays visit. I left very unsure and like I had just run the gauntlet in an assembly line. I had to call twice to get that plan of care so I can go find a dentist who doesnt charge an arm and a leg to fix a tooth.

Aspen did a very good exam, but Im disappointed with Aspen Dental policy and mode of operation. I went to them to only pull a broken molar, I waited two weeks for my appointment while in pain. When my appointment date finally came, they were more interested in "saving all my teeth ($$$) so I didnt need to get dentures, to the cost of $16,117.00 lol, when I just wanted one tooth pulled... I know sooner or later I will need to make that choice of saving my teeth or to get dentures, but not today, I just want a broken molar pulled with a local anesthetic, novacane (spelling) but they (Aspen) wont just pull a molar with a local anesthetic, and wanted a medical release to put me under with anesthesia (put me under) to set me up for all my teeth being pulled at once or to repair what the teeth needing repair I have, so with them it be approved for all, or theyll do nothing, again I was quoted $287 and was paying CASH. So now Ive lost over two weeks trying to find a dentist to pull a bad tooth and in constant pain during that time. Aspens only concern is to get medical clearance for major mouth surgery, and their not concerned about the patients pains or wants... Im betting their like a car salesman and make a lot of $$$ off the financing end, although I informed them I would be paying cash, and that includes if I decide to get dentures. To be truthful if and when I decide to get dentures I will go elsewhere, but if they would have pulled my bad tooth, I would have seriously considered them to do all the work, and most likely had the do it because I would have already been conferrable with them, but again I believe their more interested in quantity and profit... Im sure they will delete this review... Craig

Took my elderly Mom there about a week ago. She lost a tooth and wanted to see about getting a bridge. They told her she had bone loss on her bottom teeth and they wanted to address that. We told them that at her age she did not want periodontal work which would be painful nor did she want a lot of extensive dental work done at her age. The dentist told her he could not do the bridge then because he said it would be "malpractice" for him to do so since she did not want to take care of the bone loss on the bottom teeth. If that were the case he could have had her sign a statement that she was told of the bone loss and was willingly choosing not to take care of it. He said he would not be able to do a permanent bridge because of that fact. He said he would only be able to do a temporary bridge that would break in six months. That was ridiculous. The bridge on the upper mouth would have no bearing on the bone loss on the bottom teeth. Like I stated above, he could have had her sign a statement stating she was refusing to address the bone loss issue. He also offered no other options. She was willing to discuss getting false teeth but he never broached that subject. Also he was not friendly and came in wearing a mask. The mask should be put in when the exam is ready to take place. How do you trust someone when you cannot see their face. Whole experience was not good. Also another man not dressed as a doctor came in and stood there while the conversation took place. Very weird experience.

My experience at ASPEN DENTAL... having a great insurance plan which covers 2 year visits with cleanings at a 100% They dont do evaluations and cleanings in 1 visit. So they charge your insurance a doctors visit for the evaluation and Xrays. Then present a SALES PITCH with thousands of dollars that goes this way. Mr/Mrs According to your evaluation results we decided to go ahead and suggest you this procedures and our recommended toothbrush ($130 value) ... the total is $3600 and because you have insurance and they cover a portion of this "not clearly the 80% of the fillings and 100% of the cleaning" plus because of you come with insurance we went ahead a gave you an additional discount.. This is your total 700.00 which you can pay as you come to the visits (charging the insurance for my 2 visits per year) or you can open our LINE OF CREDIT and pay X% in interest over time.... After that you would be locked-in minus 1-year-doctor-visit and they wont do anything because you would have to agree to an all or nothing deal. People working there are nice and courteous. The doctor is young with just a few years experience but have managed to accumulate high stars reviews on independent websites and by the insurance company. Dont make my mistake, trust Google and written reviews like this. Good luck in your search!!!

I scheduled an appointment at Aspen Dental as a new patient and I had to wait 2 weeks to get in to see the Dentist. When I scheduled I gave them all the information I had for my insurance, when I got to my appointment they said they had to verify my insurance. When they contacted my insurance they said that I was assigned to another Dental office and that I would have to call to change it to this Aspen office. I did not get to see the dentist and wasted 40 minutes of my morning waiting for them to tell me this. After leaving and calling the insurance I called back to see if they could get me in and they told me that I had to wait another 2 weeks. I feel that they should have done their job before my appointment to confirm the insurance so that I would not have had to wait 2 weeks to get in and then sit in their office for 40 minutes to be told I could not be seen. I am very frustrated and disappointed that they would do their best to get me another appointment sooner than another 2 weeks out. I was not impressed with their attitude and their lack of willingness to take care of the issues and get me in as quickly as possible.
