My braces were in for 15 weeks when their original Ortho, Dr. Houfar left this practice. Ive seen a tremendous difference under his Ortho care. I was very hesitant to stay with their new Ortho Dr. Godley in the middle of my treatment. She was taking a different approach than the original planned discussed by the original Ortho that left. I transferred my Ortho treatment out of this practice. I realized that it was best to stay in the PDS system (a) Ive already paid in full, (b) records transfer perfectly being under the same PDS- Pacific Dental Service system. Eventually, I found Dr. Houfar on my own as I was searching for a new orthodontist. I later find out, I am a patient to the practice not the dentist. Which is why (possibly) I was not informed ahead of time of the change. I felt the practice was not being honest or upfront with something that small. Im the paying patient- I have the RIGHT to know of changes. After I left this practice, it seemed like my transfer caused some tension. Dr Houfars demeanor seem to change towards me. He said I would be in braces for less than one year. My initial treatment with him stated 18-24 months. All of a sudden during my switch Im in braces for less than one year?!? That is unheard of for an adult patient with a complicated case. I left the Woodlands Modern Smiles altogether after this ordeal. I sought out a new private office dentist in the woodlands. He confirmed that my top set of teeth were not even touching when the teeth clenched. That private dentist made sure appropriate protocols were being taken care of by PDS Ortho. Since then Dr Houfar has been accommodating and communicating with my new general dentist. Its been extremely unfortunate. Changing doctors is one of the most stressful situations! This took 3 months to sort out in the middle of my treatments.

I wish I could honestly give these people 20 stars! I really enjoyed this place! Is it strange if I can honestly admit, I cant wait until I go back!!!!! And it wasnt because of the laughing gas, it was the whole staff! They were really cool and down to earth.. They are really good people. I was nervous as **** when I got there... But when I left I was fine and had fun.. The dentist is gentle.. The staff is so friendly and patient.. There were very friendly... The technology in this place is AMAZING! Ever one is so soft spoken! I asked for a blanket, and received a nice comfortable blanket (not that plain blanket thats in the hospital) but a nice one lol I will never go to another dentist!!! Only these people...

My experience started out with Ashley Malina, she is totally awesome. She is very knowledgeable and got me the best deal. The Dr.s there are top notch as well. They saw my anxiety and took control and made me very comfortable. The entire staff was friendly and made me feel like family. My teeth are looking great. Thanks to everyone there.

Since Dr Eugenia Atkinson left this facility is no longer the same , unfriendly people...etc Going their you will get the feeling that they are just looking for money and they do not care about your health . Im updating it because this what I felt for the last two visits , I taught they might get better but nothing.

Incompitant and overpriced. They dont make appointments for you and when they give you certain ptocedures look closely at what they actually say they do because it could end upcosting 6000$ when you dont expect it

Went for a cleaning and they said i had to get the 1,000$ , not covered for my insurance, because the Drs didnt feel comfortable doing just a regular cleaning. Really disappointed of waiting my time
