Dr. Horton is wonderful and very professional. However, the customer service and communication from front staff is sorely lacking. I stood at the front counter for at least 2-3 minutes before even being acknowledged. The front staff person was on her computer and didnt even look up to say "hello" or "I will be with you in a moment." I waited over an hour to see the physician. I was unaware that Dr. Horton had an emergency to attend to earlier in the day and as a result, all of his appointments were pushed back. There was NO communication about this fact to patients in the waiting room. One elderly man told me and the others in the room that he had been waiting over 2 hours but was told that the average wait time was just 15 minutes. Another woman, who recently lost her mother, had to reschedule because shed waited so long and had another appointment to take care of with regard to her mothers death. She had waited over 1.5 hours. Another lady said that she even got off work early so she could make the appointment and had also been waiting over an hour. The office manager apologized and said he would be back in a few minutes to give us an update, but he never returned. I had to ask for him personally to come out before he ever returned to tell us about the emergency early in the day. The lack of customer service and communication is disheartening and unprofessional. I would think that the doctors who are a part of this clinic would want to be represented better than this. Dr. Horton is a terrific doctor and is very knowledgeable and personable, and he is the reason I continue to come. However, I want to reiterate that the front staff customer service is greatly lacking. It only takes a few seconds to greet a patient, smile, and communicate honestly with them. I encourage your staff to undergo customer service training so that patients are made to feel like people, not cattle in a holding pen. Thank you for your time.

I have been involved with IMED for several years now under the care of Dr. Timothy Hernandez, who is the best Internist I have ever had. He truly cares for my welfare, is extremely knowledgeable and will call another doctor for advice, in my presence, if needed. He watches closely over all of my other doctors care, which is exactly what a good internist should do and he intervenes when he feels something may not be right. As for IMED, I have seen them improve their patient services greatly in the few years I have been there. Wait time in the waiting room is very short. If my wait time in the exam room is to be delayed I am informed of the reason and not just left wondering. The new patient portal is wonderful. I am able to send messages and receive timely responses, review lab test results and request medication refills very easily. This is a very efficient way to handle all of this for both the office and the patient. The entire staff is friendly and courteous. I saw a complaint about the parking, and yes, it can be difficult, but there is complimentary valet parking for the price of a tip. I found that out when I was running late one day and could not find a spot.

i have been a patient of IMED since Dr Vernon Benson and other doctors on staff formed this group many years ago. In fact, I have been a patient of Dr. Bensons for 45 years. I was honored to be his patient and his outstanding work in the Medical Community. When he retired, I was devastated . I didnt think anyone could fill his shoes. I waited for Dr Abby Gardner in anticipation . She had big shoes to fill. I have seen her this year on many different visits and absolutely love her. I recommended her to a friend of mine. She is a very knowledgeable and caring doctor. She takes time with me and gives me her direct attention when I am in her office. She has answered all my questions and I feel very confident of her answers. I would highly recommend Dr Abby Gardner in the IMED practice.

Cant speak for the practice, but Dr Ford is absolutely tops as is his faithful companion, Tonto, er, Angie. A while back, my wife and I came in on the July 4th eve, also Fords birthday. He should not have been there. But, he was and saw us without appointment. My wife had contracted a serious tick-borne disease while on the East coast. Because there are hardly any ticks in these parts, her disease was pretty uncommon. But, Ford put it together and kept her from serious consequences. Hes managed my health care very well for a long time. Ive found that I can throw a rock and hit a doctor that is adequate, convenient, quick, or even cheap, but to get conscientious, dedicated, and talented you have to spend some effort and get a little lucky, too. I feel pretty lucky.

Until recently we were very pleased with IMEDs services, having been affiliated with this firm for over 14 years. Recently our attending physician left the practice and we were passed to a new physician to accept this change or to leave the group because we could not be allowed to select a doctor within the group as a replacement. My spouse prefers a male physician and I have been told that he cannot go to another male doctor even if that doctor would be better for him. IMED has just lost its "wonderful and caring" relationship with my family. Doctor/Patient relationships are personal and not all of these relationships fit. I would suggest that IMED rediscover itself and try to keep their published promise "You are the most important person in our office...."

I recently had a non-emergency ailment that required me to see a physician assistant or nurse practitioner before meds could be dispensed. I met Monica Cantu, FNP, who works closely with Dr. George Ford, who is my Internist. Ms. Cantu, was very personable, very professional, and explained everything in detail. I did not feel rushed. I asked questions, that may have been trivial, but she took her time to answer each one of them, that when I left, I felt a sense of relief that everything was going to be fine. She even called me after a few days to see how I was doing. I felt that someone understood my concerns and wanted to put me at ease. I really appreciate being compassionate about my concerns. I highly commend her for her knowledge and thoroughness.

Simply put, Dr. Ford is tops, along with his staff at IMED. He has taken me through thick and thin, large and little, open heart surgery and standard sinusitis, and is literally a friend and colleague in life and faith. He listens and speaks equally well, clearly and accurately. His staff shares his attitude to do whatever they can to accomodate special needs and circumstances, from appointments affected by my travels, to referrals and medications as primary care physician. He knows the top specialists professionally and personally, and when those physicians know you come from Dr. Ford, youre already one-up with them. Thanks Dr. Ford and team, sincerely.

Ive been receiving care st this clinic for over 40 years - long before it was iMed! Dr. Ford took care of my grandmother and my in-laws. Dr. Benson took care of my husband, my parents, my grandchildren and me. Ive watched the practice grow and change but they have always brought in extremely skilled and well trained new physicians. When Dr. Benson retired Dr. Abby Gardner inherited me. I am very happy with her. She listens to me before making changes. I find her very professional and knowledgeable but at the same time she doesnt order tests and meds for no reason. Id recommend this practice to anyone!
