I went to Dr. Mandreas office three times last year (January 2008) and must admit Ive NEVER actually seen Dr. Mandrea. Each time Ive been Ive met with his assistant. I was less than impressed, but since Im fairly new to Chicago, felt this office was my only option. The assistant brought me back to the exam room, and then disappeared for over 45 minutes. When I actually met with her, the entire amount of time she spent with me was less than 4 minutes. It was incredibly unprofessional. The reason I have chosen to write a poor review now, almost two years later is because Dr. Mandreas office keeps billing me two years later for services that never existed! I went in twice early 2008, paid for both visits almost 2 years ago, yet every few months (its now almost 2010) they incorrectly send me bills. I have to take time out of my day to call their office, sit on hold, and FINALLY speak with them to cancel the bill. Two words- unprofessional. Shady.

I have been going to this dermatologist for about two years. They have never once solved any issue that I have come to see them for. Because I was new to the Chicago area, I picked this office because it was close. However, after finally deciding to go to a new place, I realized how horrible this one truly is. They are overpriced and never resolve any issues. I have three horrible scars on my body due to their poor mole removal. The acne on my face still bothers me due to poor diagnosis. Please look into finding a different dermatologist if you are looking for one!

Ive had good experiences with Dr. Eugene Mandrea. I got a pixel treatment done and Im really happy with it. I have to get 4 more treatments done and the follow-ups in between are free. He even gave me a bunch of cortisone shots for a break out at no cost. When I inquired about the cost, he just told me that hell take care of it because he wants the best outcome for my skin. One setback is they always seem to be rushing and youve got to be assertive if you have questions or concerns.

The staff in the office were rude. I had to wait 3 hours to see the doctor. Dr. Mandrea had no bedside manner. His answers to my questions were curt. He did not explain what and why he was doing anything. I was so dissatisfied that i canceled a follow up visit. To hs credit they sent me a letter that i needed to seek follow on care. I found another doctor who has tended to my condition, who answers my questions and is able to get me in and out of the office in a timely manner.

Doctor Mandrea was excellent! He is very patient, and I felt very comfortable with him. I could tell he is very experienced in his field. After listening to my concerns and examining me, he gave me an exact diagnosis and proper treatment. My problem went away within 5 days. The office is clean and welcoming and the staff is friendly while answering questions and scheduling appointments.

I almost left my appointment in tears. The older Dr. was awful. His bedside manner was ridiculous . He acted as though I was bothering him with my health concerns. I was relieved to find out by the person who referred me that I should have been seeing Dr. Fine. Immediately called and made an appointment with her. Its in the am. I pray this one goes better.

I had my first appointment there today and was seen by a physicians assistant and told I wouldnt be seen by the dermatologist. Had I wanted that or been told that when I made the appointment I would have gone to a clinic. Needless to say I wont be returning in two weeks for a follow up.

Ive been seeing Dr Fine for 4 months now. Ive had multiple basal cell areas removed and had MOHs surgery on my face. She is professional and listens to my needs. She even has helped me save a tattoo that had basal cell near it! I recommend her highly!!! Thanks Dr Fine! Russell Walsh

Very friendly staff 100% of the time I have gone there over the last 3 years. The physicians and PAs were great! Im very very surprised by the bad reviews. I never have to wait to long in the waiting room. Plus, they have tons of free samples everywhere!
