Ive been using this vet for years, and are super impressed every time. They take SUCH good care of our animals, the staff is super friendly and the doctors are amazing at what they do. The decor is a little outdated, but thats not a big deal. They have a nice waiting room with TVs, they decorate for holidays, and they run specials from time to time where they offer a free service with purchase, etc, etc. I want my animals taken care of, so I go here. Like I said before, the doctors are phenomenal at making us [and the dog] comfortable with treatments/surgeries, and the office staff is friendly and loving toward my dog. Im not sure how prices compare to others, but I guess the prices here are average. Anyway, thats about all I can say. If youre looking for a vet in Carrollton, this is the one!

I actually do take my dogs here for care but I would never leave my dog here overnight in the kennel where I couldnt monitor them. I live next door and I witnessed one of the ladies in the morning who takes the dogs out each morning to pee, she was spanking a little Boston terrier because the Boston terrier saw my dogs and was lightly barking. She was pulling the leash really hard against the dogs neck to get it to change direction. Every morning she has her head phones in and pays no attention to the dogs she walks because I walk my dogs every morning and I usually see her. She is very unprofessional. The rest of the staff I see walk the dogs are very professional and show extreme care.

North Carrollton Veterinary Hospital has been an important part of my life for many years. Over these years I have received wonderful, thoughtful, intelligent care for my three cats and my little Shih Tzu from Dr. Calhoun and in his absence Dr. Stokes. Be it an emergency situation, a regular checkup, or just an information call, the staff is very helpful in scheduling appointments, having the doctor return a call or getting me information and aid in an emergency. In addition, I have had tremendous emotional support during some difficult decision making. For me, the only choice of veterinary care is North Carrollton Veterinary Hospital.

I have been taking my pets here for over 20 years now. Dr. Calhoun and Dr. Stokes and there staff have always treated us like we were a part of there family. When our 14 year old diabetic mix breed dog began having seizures at 12 oclock at night and rushed her to the emergency vet. Dr. Calhoun was there to help talk to our family, help us understand what was going on and what to do, and offer to come and be with us at the hospital. I dont know many vets that would do this for there customers. I would recommend them to anyone because they have become a part of our family and have always treated us the same way.

I recently moves to Carrollton and was nervous about finding a great vet, until I met Dr. Calhoun. I like Doctors who take the time to explain and chat about my pets health.He is the best! I instantly felt his warmness, genuineness and expertise with the animal. He made me feel like he was a good ole friend taking care of my cat. The entire office staff is really friendly too. Very professional and even all the front desk girls know so much about animals and pet food ect My friends recommended me and my in laws use to come here as well. This is the best neighborhood vet.

We have been using North Carrollton Veternary Hospital for 27 years. As long as we have pets, I will keep on coming back. Dr. Calhoun and Dr. Stokes are extremely kind and sensitive to the care of our pets. Sympathy notes come out when we lose a beloved pet from the family. The staff is friendly whether on the phone or when walking in the door. Our experience has been outstanding and I would highly recommend anyone in need of top quality vets to use North Carrollton Veternary Hospital. (Wish my personal doctor was as good as Calhoun and Stokes!)

I highly recommend NCVH!!! I have 2 Pitt bulls (MJ & Marlee) and 1 Chihuahua (Mr. Kitty), each animal is treated with the respect and care they deserve!! They do not take a 2nd look at my animals because they are Pitts’; NCVH knows that an animal will do what they are trained to do by their owner…. NCVH told me one time “it’s all in how you raise your pets, it’s the owner who is evil NOT the breed!!!! “ With that said, I will continue my relationship with NCVH because they know how to treat my animals!!!!

Dr. Calhoun and Dr. Stokes have cared for my pets for more than ten years. They (and their staff) are friendly, caring and competent. Their routine care is far above the norm - and theyre truly exceptional when the going is rough. They saved my big dog years ago in an emergency situation, and recently at the end of his life gave him (and me) compassionate counsel and care. Dr. Calhoun went far beyond mere duty to give my old friend a peaceful ending. I wouldnt even think of changing vets!

We have taken our dogs to Drs. Stokes and Calhoun for many years for general veterinary services as well as for teeth cleanings, minor surgeries, emergency care, and extended boarding. The staff is always helpful and friendly and (most importantly) our pets are always comfortable and relaxed when we bring them in and when we pick them up. Since we have moved to Plano, they have made it very easy for us to renew our pets meds over the phone and mail them out to us promptly.

Our whole Family has taken our cats and dogs to North Carrollton since 1983... Doctor Calhoun, Doctor Stokes, and the entire Staff, have always been wonderful to all of us! We recently had to put our 11 year old dog to sleep due to her terminal bone cancer. Everyone at North Carroltton was very informative, kind, patient,, and supportive throughout Missys illness... We recommend North Carrollton Veterinary Hospital very highly!

Our visit was with our dog was not satisfactory. Bradley Stokes did not come all the way into the room, did not introduce him self or call us or ask for our names. Our dog was taken in the back and about 20 min. later brought back by a tech(?). Bradley again came in and leaned in the doorway again and said our dog was good to go. We never once saw Bradley put his hands on our dog which is not expectable.

It was the worst day you dread with your pet...the last. I didnt realize until that time how hard it was going to be that day until we faced it. They concluded it was the right choice as well and were a comforting as anyone can possibly be in that situation. It was a sad thing to post. I hope it helps someone else make the best choice for there pet and not themselves.

Doctor Calhoun and Doctor Friend are the best Veterinarians in Carrollton. I have been taking my kitty PEPPER to them for about a year now since she was digonosed with liver failure. They provided me with medication and showed me how to give her oral injections. I just wanted to say how greatfull I am for helping my pep pep. Thank you vets.
