Ive taken my Siamese there off and on with great results. When he was younger, he had a blocked urethra and was in the hospital for about 3 days on constant fluids. thankfully, he was able to pee on his own and didnt need the surgery. the bill I think after sonograms, x rays, boarding etc was I guess $1200 (I could be wrong, it might have been less it was about 5 years ago). they do offer care credit which does help. So, recently hes come down with asthma and digestive issues. I took him there since I saw him trying to potty but nothing happened and he was vomiting. so, this was about 9 pm Friday or so. no wait at all, I was the only one there. they took a quick look at him and determined he needed some laxitives but wasnt in bad shape. I think the bill was about $115, medicine included, so really not much more than an average vet at least until about 11 pm/graveyard times or something. they were very nice, answered all my questions and the coffee they have was a nice bonus while waiting on the results of the exam. also, they are willing to answer questions you might have over the phone kinda like an animal 911. for example, my cat had a small asthma attack tonight but I caught the signs early and gave him his medicines right away. so, then I time his breathing with a stop watch and saw that he was breathing a few times faster than what I saw was normal online. I called them and told them that he was breathing between 35-45 times per minute and asked if I should give him another dose of the inhaler. the attendant went to ask the vet and I timed him again with 16 breaths within the 20 second hold. I was told that was normal and that inhaler doses should be kept 4 hours apart due to heart rate issues. so, if you ever have a doubt about the health of your furry family member, just call. =)

I am 60 yrs old and have had so many pets throughout my lifetime and raised them to a happy ripe old age but when it came time to let my first go 20+ years agi my vet was on vacation at the time. When I called his office his voicemail recommended this clinic. I took my precious girl immediately and it was very late at night. I was extremely emotinal and already in tears when I walked in. They made me very comfortable. I told them I wanted to be with her so she wouldnt be alone. They ushered me into a private room that was set up like a small living room. Once they administered the anestesia they brought her into me and I held her and whispered to her quietly until she was gone. One of the staff members sat with me as I rocked and cried unconsolibly. Once I pulled myself together they lifted her from my arms and told me take as long as I needed before leaving. Over the years I have been too this clinic whenever it was time to part with one my precious babies and other dire emergencies. I was always treated with the utmost respect, unbridled empathy and kindness. The reason I am writing this now is I will be taking another precious baby in tomorrow to sit with her as she leaves me and as the tears roll and my heart once again breaks I know that the people working at this clinic will greet me with open arms and kind words and help me to get through once again one of the worst days of my life!!!! God Bless Them All and if you ask me, he already has!!! And thank you Rayann for your kindness and understanding on the phone this evening while I had to set up this visit once again after quite a few years .

Short answer: do NOT go here unless you believe your pet is going to die in the next 10 minutes. Long answer: Overall, this vet was ok. The staff and doctors are actually really nice people. However, unless you seriously think your pet will die in the next 15 minutes, go to the Flower Mound emergency vet. Example: we waited 2 hours and this was just a tuesday. We arrived at 8:40 because my pet was gagging with something stuck in her throat. She wasnt in distress but clearly uncomfortable (my last dog was 2yrs old and passed away from choking on a bone so we are a little freaked out over the new puppy) It became 930 and we asked to see a doctor to which they sent in a nurse. Then, it got to be 1015 and we complained about the wait again. The nurse left the room and came back and said they were going to take my dog to the back to a room. To which we said "what will taking her to the back do?" and the nurse said "oh the front desk told me you wanted her to the back" to which we replied "no we want the doctor to see her. this is ridiculous" another 15 minutes later the doctor finally came in. She was nice and looked at my dog. However, she then recommended some antibiotics and a bunch of medication my dog did not need immediately and that I was not going to pay for. Im sure this vet will take pets in dire need; however if you think you have enough time, I suggest driving to the flower mound emergency vet.

This place is a nightmare. Front staff couldnt even put in my information correctly when they had my license with everything they needed in their hand. They were rude the whole time and talked to us like we were stupid. We went back to room and was told there was only one option for my dog (a very VERY expensive option). Did not answer any questions about the procedure, kept saying the same thing over and over again. I honestly believe the Vet was "buzzed" when she was in. I smelled it on her, she was very shaky the whole time (hands and legs). Her eyes was red and very watery. She was whispering the whole time, Im guessing so I couldnt smell it. I was very disappointed. If I wasnt so worried about my dog, I would of called and complained. Please please please if possible do not come here. If its the only option, make sure she is sober! **Also make sure you read the charges before you sign. I know in most cases you are too worried about your baby to read the charges and you just sign away, but after reading through the bogus charges they were trying to charge us.... we left to another Vet clinic paying LESS THAN HALF this ridiculous doctor was trying to charge.**

The Doctors arent experienced!!! We took our 2yr German Shepherd into the North Texas Emergency Clinic in Carrollton for him to be looked at because our normal vet was closed. He had a small deep cut on his leg. Our German Shepherd is and always has been in GREAT health. Once there at the vet they told me that he needed stitches. So they stitched him up, I asked about antibiotics and they told me that he didnt need any. So I took the word of the professional "Doctor / Veterinarian" and took him home. Two days later my dog was running a VERY high fever. I took him to my normal vet and he said that this wound should have NEVER been stitched up in the first place. By stitching it up it had trapped in the bacteria and caused the wound to become infected and subsequently spread. My vet cut the stitches out and left it open and put him on antibiotics and within four days he was back to himself. $400 for stitches, made my dog worse, could have killed him, NO THANKS!!!
