Got a new kitten and checked around for a "reasonably priced" place to have a quick physical exam. I was quoted $41 for physical. Doctor looked at ears and said there were ear mites, took a swab to confirm, and put in drops. My bill was now suddenly $103 for a physical exam, ear smear and ear cleaning, and I paid, begrudgingly in full. Then, two weeks later, they bill me for another $37 for the ear medicine that they "forgot" to charge me for. So an extra $100 for ear mites, something I could have treated her for myself for $17. I didnt get asked or was given a choice. She just went ahead and did everything quickly, and then the charges started piling up. I will say the vet was very nice and the office is a nice place, but I dont like to have my pet (or myself or my child) treated without being made aware of the potential cost. She could have said, "It looks like your kitten has ear mites. I can confirm it and treat it here, but there will be additional costs, or I can recommend a medicine you can purchase online and treat her yourself, and if she doesnt improve, you can bring her back." Instead, Im furious. I had to charge the visit as it was because I didnt have $100, and now I have to pay even more. I talked with the office but they wont back down on the "oh, we forgot to charge you" charge, even for good will. Im sorry, but I wont be returning there.

Wouldnt see a stray 4-6 week old kitten with a face flesh wound. I dropped the kitten off at 12 and didnt hear about this until 5. Now when I worked there, they would take stray kittens in, fix them up, shots, spay/neuter and then put them up for adoption. I was informed there was too many cats right now. I guess the 6 cats theyve taken in (some have been there before I even started) havent been put up for adoption yet which is sad, they live a long life in a cage with very little interaction. When I worked there I was terrified to bring my own cat to be seen there. Just know if they dont like you, you and your pet gets treated badly or dont get treated at all. I got charged and paid for blood draw on my dog that never happened. As I was walking out to the door to go home they mentioned, oh yeah, we never got to your dog. There are way too many incidents that has happened and not even space to write. Beware of MAH...

"I started working here for a short amount of time and during that time I adopted two cats one of which had bloody diarrhea everyday . They also lived in a small closet like space along with another cat. With the lights off the majority of the time . I also would like to state what the doctor told me about restraining animals . "Hold them so their back is even with your nipples, for you thats pre baby nipples." Also Id like to add that the cats are in great health since Ive taken them else where . I would also like to state I am blocked from writing my review because they dont want me to tell about my experience . " Written by a recent former employee who was blocked from posting because they dont want any bad reviews.

Mandarin Animal Hospital has the most caring and knowledgeable staff and vets. We are treated like family. Our pets love everyone here. They do it all in house: routine care, surgery, grooming and boarding. This is especially important to us because our pets are family and we want them to be comfortable and familiar with their surrounding whatever the need. Getting an appointment is super easy and quick, as is being seen once youre there. They have an awesome website that allows you to check test results and upcoming needs. We always get a follow-up call the next day to see how everyone is doing. Couldnt ask for anything more!!

If I could give more stars I would. Dr. Mosley and the staff are so caring and compassionate!! I had recently got a tumor removed for $400 at another clinic and the next day the stitches came all out, it really was a horrible job. So I rushed him to Dr. Mosleys office and they fixed him all up and they worked with me as far as the payments because I just spend all this money in the first place! Very blessed to see a place where they care more about your fur baby than money.

Now that both of my dogs are of a senior age, I was concerned about them receiving proper nutrition to keep them strong and healthy. The staff was extremely helpful and listened to my concerns about preferring a no corn, gluten free diet. They immediately steered me in the right direction of a food that met my requests, and my dogs love it! Thank you SO much for all of your assistance!

The vets are very qualified and relatable. Staff is kind and knowledgeable. My issue is when boarding, they do a admissions exam. For my dogs they keep finding things to prescribe medication for. During boarding it is $15/dog/day! For one dog this increased my bill by $100 over a 2 day period (4 pills). Just be aware of this ploy. Excellent, though pricey, vet clinic.

I have been taking my animals here for several years now. The quality of care as well as the outstanding customer service make us feel like they are extended family. Their facility is super clean, does not stink like many others, and well organized. If you care about your fur babies like I do then you should take them here for the best quality care in JAX.

The Mosleys are phenomenal veterinarians. They are grounded and have a local interest in their community. You will be hard pressed to find a more family oriented, caring, honest and hardworking veterinarian than the awesome folks at MAH. I highly recommend visiting them as they will treat you and your furry ones like family.

Brought my dog here for acupuncture and laser treatment for her injured back. She is doing great after her appointment. Im very pleased that this hospital offers these alternative forms of treatment. The doctor and his supporting staff were wonderful!! Will be bringing all my animals here. I love this place!!!
