After seeing one of my 1 year old cat crouch very low to the ground and meow almost constantly for the second day in a row, I decided to take her to the vet, fearing something was wrong. This was a Sunday, so I had to find a 24 hr vet, and I took her to VCA Animal Hospital in Green. I waited in the waiting room alone (there was no one else waiting) which was very clean and quiet. I was called within a few minutes to enter the doctors office. After being led into the doctors office, my sick cat and I waited for an hour and fifteen minutes before we were seen by the doctor. Now this started to irritate me because I was paying nearly $110 for emergency service, but I had waited over an hour. After the vet told me she wanted to do a bunch of tests and x-rays after not seeing anything wrong with her visually, I became concerned...because they wanted $451 for these tests to see if theres anything wrong with her. That a lot of money to play around with! I agreed to one test...the urniary tract infection test because thats what I thought she had. They werent able to get enough urine out of her to examine it with a microscope, but they had enough to put it on a dish to see if it would grow any bacteria...which didnt make much sense to me but I went with it. They told me to wait 24 hours and then theyll call and let me know if theres any bacteria growing. I left the vets office and waited for their call. I waited, and no one called. I decided to call them myself and was told there wasnt bacteria growing and wanted to know if I wanted to go ahead and do the shot anyway. Why would I want to spend money on tests and shots if she doesnt have a UTI? I became very frustrated, so I took her to my regular vet. They told me my 1 year old cat was in heat, she was ready to have kittens. Nothing wrong with her. Wow! I was very relieved and felt compelled to write a survey. I feel as if I was cheated out of my money at VCA. I have no problem paying a diagnosis fee, but please be accurate with the resolution and charge me fairly for the services I received. Paying a flat $100+ "emergency" fee, waiting over an hour when no one else was in the room, and being asked to spend $400+ on tests that wouldve ultimately proved my cat had no problems made me very upset.

If I could I would give them zero stars. I would never recommend this place at all and I will never come here again. We took our dying cat and had a very bad experience. The vet was very pushy. She kept wanting us to make fast decisions on what we should do for him. We felt like she made us feel guilty about deciding what to do for him. She wanted to do all these test that seamed unnecessary and we felt like they just wanted us to run test just so they can get money on a dying cat. The prices were also very very high which is why we only let them run a few test. They wanted to hosipitalize our cat but the cost was outrageous for only a few hours until our regular vet opened. We ended up not letting them hosipitalize our cat and took him to our normal vet when they opened. We also did not like the way they took care of our cat and felt they stressed out our cat more when he already did not feel well. Our cat had a catgeter in from our regular vet and this place added their own catheter next to the one our normal vet had in our cat. We felt that this stressed our cat more and caused him more pain. They also gave medication to him without our consent which really upset us and we had to pay for the medication in our bill. The vet also gave us false hope that our cat might have a chance to live when our cat was dying. She just kept wanting us to give him test to see if we could save him but looking back I felt that she just wanted to give him test to make money on a dying cat. Yes we wanted to help him if there was something we could do to save him we would but he was not doing good at all and we knew he was dying. I would not recommend this place to anyone.

My kids dogs got into a vicious fight this morning. They are usually always separated but today accidentally got out together. My daughter rescued 2 dogs and when she came home from the Army, they came with her. Unfortunately, they did not like our other 2 rescue dogs. (Please do not judge that we have 4 dogs that do not like each other. We have kept them separated for over a year with no issues.) Our regular vet is not open on Sunday. I called the VCA office and the girl answered and immediately asked if I could hold. I said "I guess" she then paused and said "is this an emergency?" and I told her our dogs got into a vicious fight and needs to be seen. She had sensed the urgency in my voice and she immediately said to bring him in. They were prompt, kind and not at all rude as the other reviews said. They examined Milo and sutured him up for $433. I had read that they overcharge and was a bit nervous but was more worried about the health of our dog. I thought this was a reasonable price to make sure my dog was examined, cleaned up, sutured and given antibiotics. I was very impressed by their professionalism and caring toward my kids and Milo. I am thankful they were open on a Sunday and gave great care. Milo is doing well and should recover soon.

Wednesday night we took our Buddy who is a Rottweiler in for symptoms he was having that concrned us. Thanks to VCA we were able to find that it was an infection from an animal attack. They billed us $550. Dollars for things that should have been much cheaper. Additionally the staff was mediocre at best on personability. Thursday came around and buddy still wouldnt take his medicine or eat anything and he looked horribly sick. I was recommend (pet vet) in Copley Ohio. We followed up the very next day with them and immidatly our Buddy was feeling and acting more like himself. I checked with their office and they would have charged us $200 dollars or less for what the VCA charged $550. The vet was so caring and she even sat on the floor to feed buddy out of her hand. She gave him a new dosage on his medications we (over paid) for at VCA and she helped so much with laser treatment. Apparently the VCA prescribed Buddy an NSAID that was too high in doseage and could have caused a stomach ulcer. Just another reason we would have had to go back to that horrible clinic VCA. Avoid the headache and worry and go to Pet Vet where they care about your animal whole heartedly. Yours truly A person who cares about what best for our lovable pets

I had the incredibly sad task of putting my best friend to sleep yesterday. I was told by a vet that was booked to try the Green Animal Hospital out since Kaos was not well and needed emergency treatment. The staff and doctors are so Unbelievable and kind... they tried everything they could to see if we could save him, and let me know that the best option for him was to say goodbye. The angel of a receptionist sat with me and hugged me, crying together til the doctor came in to guide him to the rainbow bridge. They let me have him on my lap as he passed on, and he knew his best friend was never leaving him, as I know he will never fully leave me. They consoled me and allowed me as much time as I needed, then let me leave out the side door to avoid people. (since I was bawling my eyes out.) I couldnt have asked for a kinder and more honest staff of people. These ladies are wonderful and I couldnt recommend them more. They made the hardest day of my life as comfortable as it could be, and made my best friends time to go to heaven, as comfortable and dignified as it could be as well. Thank you, Green Animal Hospital. Youre angels on earth, and you have no idea how much I appreciate you. (Kaos does too. I know it) ❤️❤️❤️
