My son was adopted from the foster care system and he has autism. He came to us with a lot of trauma associated with the dentist, the first time we took him to Academy Kids Dental and he wouldnt walk through the door. They had to hold him down while they cleaned his teeth, it was awful for all of us! Academy Kids said he would need to be sedated to get cavities filled and recommended us to Simply Kids. When I spoke with their reception staff they assured me that my son would be fine and that he would probably leave loving the dentist, I laughed at them and told them he would leave screaming and crying. Ive never been happier to be proven wrong! They were so welcoming and accommodating and they explained everything to my son before they even touched him. He was still nervous, but they took everything so slowly that he was able to ask questions about the tools and touch them himself before they tried to use them in his mouth. When he got nervous or said something hurt, they stopped right away so that he could regulate himself. We had to come back for him to get his cavities filled and his biological mom was there along with the case worker and me and my husband, we definitely crowded the room! They were nothing but gracious and helpful, making sure all of our personal information was redacted before giving forms to bio mom and helping us navigate keeping my son calm while we were trying to be diplomatic about bio mom being there (very awkward situation!) My son was perfectly content to sit in the chair watching Finding Dory with his head phones on, they even made sure the same hygienist was there from the first visit so that he could be more comfortable. I cannot recommend this dentist enough, they helped my child overcome one of his biggest fears!

I had taken my son in as a referral from Academy Kids. At the time, he could not do laughing gas because he was still hysterical. Dr. Sean was going to check his teeth and I would make an appointment to have dental surgery for my son. When he went in for his check up there, they told me he needed much more work than Academy Kids had said. They gave me a quote of close to $2000. Initially I thought they were just more experienced, and I was blinded by the tvs on the ceilings for the kids. I scheduled an appointment later when we saved up enough money (3 months at least), to get the surgery done. I was never informed about my son needing a physical when I called to schedule it. The day before the surgery was to happen, the receptionist called me and asked about the physical. I told her I didnt know he needed one. She was then a bit rude and said she knew they told me during the initial visit (3 months ago). She then said that the dentist usually wont do the surgery without the physical and that shed call me back and let me know. She didnt call me until the next morning, a few minutes before the surgery. She had called to tell me that the dentist was running early and that I could bring my son earlier, at which I replied that she never called me back to tell me he could still have the surgery. She said she didnt remember leaving the conversation like that. She placed all the blame on me! I asked to get a refund of the money I had paid (I had to prepay the $2000 in order for them to book an operating room). She said shed have it in a few days. When I went in to get my money back, the ENTIRE office was out to lunch...AND LATE RETURNING! I was so angry! I wouldnt recommend these rude con artists to anyone! BEWARE!

Another dentist referred us to Dr. Vostatek for a repair as they didnt want to work with my son (sensory issues). Dr. Vostateks team was amazing! They were able to put some glue stuff on his cavities until he could get in for surgery, they were amazing during the surgery and Dr. Vostatek himself called to check on my son when we were on our way home from the hospital!! Ive had seven surgeries and NEVER had anyone even from the drs office, much less the dr, call to check on me afterwards! Today I took my younger son in for his cleaning/check up and we will be fixing some teeth he damaged when he fell down some stairs. I started with the older one to test the dr out. Now I can trust the dr to take very good care of my younger son as well! Thank you Dr. Vostatek and team! :) You are all amazing and we appreciate what you did for M very much! :) Thanks for being so understanding and awesome with both of the boys and their sensory stuff :) Here to edit. I wrote the top review 4 years ago . Since then weve added 2 babies to the family . Both see Dr Sean. My review had only changed to give him more props. His staff is amazing and so is Dr Sean. Anytime anyone is looking for a peds dentist I tell them to see Dr Sean. I cant tell you enough how great he is and how well cared for my kiddos are! Thank you Dr Sean for being awesome!

About 9 months ago I went to Academy Kids Dental for my daughters first cleaning and check up. She was going to have to have crowns put on, and they did not have the means to take care of it without her being completely awake, so they sent me to Simply Kids...I am so happy that they did! Simply Kids Dental is tremendously better! The environment is so comfortable for children. Tons things for them to do while they wait, and they have little tvs that the children can look up at while having their teeth cleaned. Not to mention the staff is much more friendly. Every time I go in I am greeted with a smile, they answer all my questions in a non-condescending manner, and they are really awesome with my daughter. Having crowns put over her teeth was a pretty intense experience and I was worried that she might not want to go in for her 6 month cleaning yesterday. However, she genuinely remembered how nice the people were and how they took such good care of her so she was perfectly fine! I dont even mind making the 40 min drive to get there, that is how much I like this dental office. My son will be 1 year old in December, and I will definitely be taking him to Simply Kids as well! I highly recommend them to anyone who wants their child to grow up having positive dental experiences.

My son is 23 months old, and hadnt seen a dentist before. Over the past 3 months hes had 3 back to back double ear infections. The following night after the 3rd one was diagnosed, his upper lip started to swell and continued to grow overnight. In the morning I immediately went to his pediatrician who was concerned his swollen lip was actually abscessed gums. He reccomended Dr. Vostatek to us. We immediately called, but was told the doctor was not in the office that day. I was then put on hold for a few minutes, then asked to come in at 2. We went, and turns out, he and his wife came in on his day off and brought their whole family in, just for us!! They are amazingly wonderful people, as is their staff. They decided they needed to pull my sons 4 top teeth immediately, but he walked me through everything he would be doing. It only took 20 minutes and my sons pain instantly stopped, as have his ear infections. Later that night he called me on his personal cell phone to check on my son. I have never had anyone offer to call and check, let alone on a personal number. Bonus was their waiting room--my son loved all the toys and tables, but they also have video games for older kids. They are an amazing group of people and I would highly reccomend them to anyone in a heartbeat!!
