I LOVE everything about the Bluebonnet Animal Hospital. Darlene and Francisco at the front desk are so, so friendly and remember me and my pups when we come in. Darlene always comes around the desk to give the dogs some extra love. I love that we always get a call from them the next day after a visit to check and see how everything is going. We had an issue a few months back with our pug where we thought he had a seizure and I didnt feel comfortable leaving him alone while I was at work the next day. The whole staff was SO incredible and let both of my pups stay there the day to watch over them. They also squeezed us in the morning after his seizure so I could meet with the vet before I went to work. All of the vets are really great too. They are smart, informative and take time with you and your pet during your appointment. I am so happy we are part of the Bluebonnet family!

Special thanks to Bluebonnet Animal Hospital for taking care of our beloved dog, Drexter, for the past 12 years. We had to put him down yesterday. Everyone involved was incredibly kind, caring, sympathetic, and compassionate towards my family and Drexter. From Drs. Vogeler, Hammerich, and Ragland(who did the euthanasia) to techs Katie, Neil, and the folks up at the desk, Francisco and Darlene, I couldnt have felt more supported and Drexter couldnt have felt better during the process. They were always honest and available to talk about options for care during his entire life. He will be missed by us all. He was our housemate and buddy. For 12 years he was by my side as I traveled from room to room in my home. He was an amazing companion. I had no idea I would miss him so much. Give your pets and loved ones extra hugs and love tonight.

Booooo. As in lame. Their were 4 staff members at the front desk when I went in and none could be bothered to say hello. This happened twice. I went in to get information on and care for my cat who I am taking to China. When I enquired as to what they knew about how to do this, they recoiled, until a staff member stepped up and tried to answer my questions as best she could. She then told me that the vet would know more and asked for me to leave information and he would get back to me in 48 hours. I left detailed info with the staff... then waited.... and waited... and waited. Nothing, no call.2 days, 3 days, 4 days , 5 days, etc. So, I went back in, left another message for the vet and was told he would get back to me that afternoon. Again. Nothing. Which is the amount of business they will get from me.

What a wonderful veterinary practice. I moved to Austin last week, and of course, my cat decided it would be a perfect time to develop a UTI. I called on a Saturday morning in a panic, and was in the office seeing the vet within a half hour. They examined Jo and worked with me to develop a treatment plan. Her health was their main priority, but they were also very transparent about treatment options and the costs associated with them. Five days later and she is back to terrorizing me at three in the morning and sleeping peacefully throughout the day. Thank you, Bluebonnet Animal Hospital, for the wonderful care, the follow up phone calls, and the overwhelmingly competent service.

Our dogs have always received top-notch, caring, service at Bluebonnet AH. Francisco and Darlene are the best front desk staff you could hope to find. The technicians are very friendly and have a way with animals, and all of the veterinarians are professional, knowledgeable, and caring. We recently had to have one of our beloved pets euthanized, and I cannot imagine a more peaceful and well orchestrated process, despite the grief and loss that my husband and I were feeling. I will always be grateful to the kindness and compassion shown by Dr Hammerich and the staff at Bluebonnet, and I would not hesitate to recommend them to anyone.

My dog Dakota was having some ear problem, so I called her new vet(we had just moved to Austin), but they were not able to book an appointment for 2 weeks, so they recommended Bluebonnet Animal Hospital. I called them, they had us come in on the next day, very nice staff, the vet was very attentive, she listened to me and took the time to explain after examining Dakota what was going on, and showed me how to do the cleaning and everything, and had us return in 2 weeks to check up on Dakota. Im very happy with the service and the price is very reasonable and worth the investment.

Cant say enough about what a pleasant experience I had with these people. The staff and vets made me and my basset, Phoebe, feel welcome and confident. Her condition was evaluated and treatment options and costs were clearly explained. She needed surgery which was promptly scheduled. Within a couple days she was acting years younger. The hospital is easily accessible and clean. The costs were less than I expected. Thanks guys.

I took my pup here when she was "sneezing" all night and it turns out that she couldnt breathe thru her nose. I was quite scared when they had to do some tests and give her meds, but the staff took excellent care of her (and me!!) and we were able to go home that night. The vet also called the next morning to check in on Layla and let me know that I could bring her back in any time. I am so grateful for the team at Bluebonnet!

Darlene is amazing and I can always count on her when I have a problem with my pups. Dr York is excellent and very knowledgeable. I trust her to take care of my pups as if they were her own. Id previously been to a lot of other vets I was unhappy with but now this is the only place I would ever go. I dont live close anymore but I would never sacrifice the quality care and expertise my pups receive.

Weve been so fortunate to have found Bluebonnet Animal Hospital. Our dog is always greeted by name by the lie friendly staff when we arrive. Our vet is extremely thorough and even takes pictures of aggravated areas so that follow up appointments are productive. Theyve seen us last minute when we have concerns about our dog. Definitely recommend Bluebonnet Animal Hospital!

Incredibly overpriced ($400 for antibiotics and to shave the area around a cut on my dog). They were also absolutely no help in getting me a prescription flea medicine for my dog. Twice they said they would call back and did not. Refused to fax the prescription to an online pharmacy even though they didnt carry the product in their office. Will never go back.

They didnt even have the sense to ask for a stool sample when my dog had hookworms ,just tried to sell me prescription food and medications that werent needed and was charged for a follow up exam that they had told me would be no charge. Used to have a warm atmosphere but not any longer.
