I waited for FOUR HOURS for an "emergency" doctor, after I stated multiple times that I suspected that the stray cat I brought in was in organ failure. The receptionist acted like I was inconveniencing her the second I walked through the door and had an incredibly snotty attitude. For example, when I handed her my registration form, she did not so much as look at me, so I waited for a moment for her to indicate whether she needed anything else from me before she snapped at me to "sit back down!" She and her coworkers all made snotty, snappy remarks to the other people coming in, and acted like those asking how much longer it would be before their sick or injured pet would be seen by a doctor were a burden (though most left after realizing how long the wait time was). Once we finally saw the vet (who herself was quite kind, and I do appreciate the fact that she did not charge me for the euthanasia of the found cat), the cat was in fact too far gone to be saved. The tech who came in to take the cat to the back room says to the terrified, dying cat, "I hear youre not very nice!" and literally throws a plastic box over him, hitting him in the process, and roughly shoves him all the way into the box. Throws the plastic lid on the plastic box and tells me, "You can leave now." I understand that this cat was a stray, that he was not a top priority, that he was hissing and spitting out of fear, but you would think that the staff of an animal hospital would have at least a smidge of compassion for an injured, dying cat. Its obvious that most of the staff is not in this field for the right reasons. I am absolutely disgusted by the way in which this poor cat had to suffer in his dying hours because the staff couldnt be bothered to care.

I really like the vets here, its a shame how crappy everything else about it is. They are FAR too busy than what they can handle apparently. I called to schedule an appointment for my pup and was on hold for 15 minutes before anyone answered. Also, when my pup had surgery, and I went to pick her up, I waited almost an hour in the room for a release technician to came in the room because the one "assigned" to me was late, and everyone else was "assigned" to others. Not to mentioned when I finally got seen, he was in there for MAYBE 2 minutes, and said hed come back to bring my dog. Then another vet tech came in and had the nerve to say she needed me to wait at the check out desk for my pup because they needed the room for others waiting. AFTER you just MADE me wait an hour, you want to rush me out now!?!?!? Every time you try to check out its a HOT mess. They take forever to check you out, the check out receptionists are extremely rude and CLEARLY dont want to be bothered with you. Theres always a line up of others with dogs waiting to check out which makes all the dogs anxious. Its just ridiculous. If you cant handle the patient load, you need to stop taking patients or add more staff. NO ONE should be on hold for over 5 minutes on a call.

Now that is twice I have to put down and ill or old age a final and they ask you Are you sure you have tried all options!!! Money Greedy Staff! Being in the medical field myself I know when to say enough is enough and NOT let an animal suffer anymore! Trust me I have fought hard with my emotional decision to come to this heartbreaking choice! How rude is it for the staff to make you feel worse? While your heart is broken! Trust me if I could cure kidney failure I would have! I have come to the conclusion that the staff is unsympathetic and lack empathy! When they took my animal into the back my animal was out of my room getting the IV for at least a half hour to 45 minutes.....very disappointed! Twice twice something that is very heartbreaking and its supposed to be fast and smooth . Takes 2 hours from the time you arrive to the time you leave in putting your animal down....smh

The lady checked me out and scheduled another appt for me, but she FORGOT to bring my dog back to me from the x-ray room and told me I was all set and have a nice day!!! I was like "did you LOSE MY DOG??" I understand everyone has an off day, but thats a pretty big deal! I have the same problem as you Margo! The receptionists that you check in are always snotty and rude and let you stand around before asking you to sign in or tell you you can take a seat. These people are the face of the clinic, the first people you make contact with! They need to find better receptionists before they start losing people. I like my vet and the prices are fair, but the people you have to deal with when you first walk through the door automatically put me in a bad mood from the second I walk in and am ignored and then again when I check out and they forgot about my dog in a back room!

Have always had problems with this place. We took our dog here and she was diagnosed with an infection in her urine, and she was given medication. A few weeks later, we brought her back for a check-up and they did not do any physical exam other than shaving her private area down to raw skin. The skin became so irritated and red, she began rubbing her privates on concrete to stop the itching. The vet provided us with powder to reduce irritation, however, our dog is now more itchy and irritated having a powder substance on raw skin - she has been hiding from us and wont allow us to touch her. Still wondering what kind veterinarian or technician shaves down a dogs private parts down to raw skin and does not perform physical exams at each visit. Who gave these people jobs? Also, beware of front desk women. Unhelpful and snotty bitches.

Been going for years was very happy. My dog recently had eye surgery Upon recheck at acsh -- the vet did not know I had been to a dog opthalmologist who changed meds. --Acsh vet gave incorrect meds on recheck even though report from the opthalmologist was in file. Suggest you look up your vet on Lara state licensing site. Wish I had. Retired rn here. Any doc/vet that has been fined, put on probation, has had a big problem. State does not slap a docs hand for nothing. Will continue there but only with specific docs. If I have more than a general issue I will see a specialist My dog will be on meds qid fours times a day says the dog opthalmologist for the rest of her life. I am not not happy. I will go back but only using specific doctors. My daughter gave up and only uses the Washington site. Buyer beware said the nurse....

I have been with this vet for at least 5 years now, they are just too busy any more, not enough time spent with each patient, fair prices, but doesnt justify no time. Just tried to get my oldest dog in, has been ill for the last 2 days. I cannot get in for 2 weeks, Unless I call at 6am for a same day emergency visit. Sorry, I dont think they will give him the time we need for a good, proper diagnosis. I will be getting copies of all my dogs files and finding a new vet. One that has the time to spend to get to know my dogs and get a thorough diagnosis. You were good when we first started seeing you, but now you have just outgrown your use to us. Maybe Wilsons should consider another building in the area? You might retain me as a customer with either a larger or another facility in my area.
