If I could give zero stars I would. Im very disappointed with the level of care I received here. I went in to get an ongoing issue with my stomach/digestion diagnosed and described my eating habits (which I keep a journal of as I had been recommended to do by another doctor). The PA sent me to an allergist who performed food allergy and breathing tests on me and when it came up negative, he asked me why I was here. After I told him my problem, he immediately questioned why I had not been sent to a gastroenterologist instead. Silly me, I wrote it off as part of the process and didnt question it because I assumed the procedure was covered by my insurance. Unfortunately I was slammed with a $600 bill a year later when I was told by my insurer that the allergist I was sent to was not in-network! I specifically asked them to recommend an approved doctor! Another great experience I had with the same group, different location was at the gynecologist. I had to wait four months to get an appointment with them and waited in line in a crowded office for 15 minutes once I arrived to sign in. When I finally got up to the front desk, the attendant told me that I was 15 minutes late and they did not take in late appointments!!!!!! She could re-schedule me, but the soonest availability was four months from now. All I wanted to do was renew my birth control prescription. I could have almost carried a child to term in the 8 months they wanted me to wait just to get an appointment. I walked out, found a new, extremely observant and professional doctor over at University Physicians Group for both my womens health and general health needs. This is clearly a place that is under-budgeted and poorly staffed so they are not able to provide quality care. I have been to many free clinics in Austin who take in people with no health coverage and never been treated with so little regard to my well being. As if they dont have the time to address your health concerns...this is supposed to be a medical facility!

I accompanied a relative to this place and was blown away by how rude the upstairs receptionist is. First of all, it looks like many people have had problems when arriving late so dont arrive late. There was one woman there talking loudly about how they wouldnt help her because she was a few minutes late which didnt bother me but the receptionist was making the situation worse by not having one ounce of compassion. This was before we had to speak to the receptionist. When We had to speak to her it was even worse. She was condescending about everything. She asks questions in a very rude and demanding manner and looks like she just wants you to get out of her way so she can continue doing nothing... I dont know her name but if I find out Ill add it. She was short, wide, with glasses, brown hair, and is approximately 50 years old. I was told by someone else there that she has had problems with many patients but management has yet to realize act on it. The place itself is fine but 1 star because the receptionists presence accounts for -3 stars. Will update if she happens to not be there next time I happen to go.

I had an appointment me at 8:00 and the location I was directed to was building B suite 200. I have an excruciating pain in my back and leg and didnt have my medication so I could drive Went there and waited for the receptionist who told me that they did not have me on the list and I had to go to suite 300. Went there and the receptionist @ suite 300 told me that the was late for my appointment me!!!!!!! And I was upstairs. Then she give me an excuse that she thought I were uninsured while I am (dont know whats the relation) and that she could reschedule my appointment at 1:30 pm or I could wait and see. I waited for 20 minutes (8:35) and she told me she put me on 9:20! it was not even my mistake, but I was in pain so I said what the hell an hour wait, I could do that. After waiting for two hours, she told me that that Ill be next in 40 mins. I was called in at 10:10 and waited in the examination room till 10:45 before the doctor showed up. With all the hassle and pain I was in doctor Rivera was amazing and I appreciate her help. Place is good, but administration needs lot of work to improve.

I had a similar experience as Regina yesterday. I was one-minute late for my appointment, so the therapist took someone else. This was for mental health. Ive been having problems, major panic attack that made me think I was having a stroke, but not important enough for them to wait one minute for me. I was late because I was so tired from the pill their shrink prescribed to me. What gets me most, though, was I waited 45 minutes to see this therapist for my initial intake. The lady at the front desk wouldnt acknowledge this, she just kept saying in a robotic tone "its our policy." I live off of disability and get medicare/medicaid. The terrible treatment I experienced is a prime example of how poor people receive terrible health care. I highly recommend you choose a different care provider than Lone Star.

I was greeted kindly and given about a thousand-page questionnaire to fill out, many pages asking the same questions that previous pages did. The wait to be called in took longer than I thought it would, considering there were only two other patients in the waiting room once I finished my paperwork. I saw people who got there after me go in before me. The guy sitting across the room from me would NOT STOP STARING AT ME, and it made me really uncomfortable. God, just call me in, already! Finally they did, and the nurse was nice. The doctor was pretty well on his game, whatever his name was. He got me access to some cheaper meds, took some blood, and boom, I was done. Bye bye, previous endocrinologist.

Such a shame that an institution designed to care for and provide quality medical service can treat the elderly like my mother was treated today. She was there 5 minutes late and no one was waiting to see the doctor. It was decided that a customer that had an appointment later in the hour would be seen before her. Keep in mind, my mother is elderly and has poor leg circulation. Thus, it is difficult for her to walk or be in one place for long. Suffice it to say, this institution has lost a client. DO NOT RECOMMEND it to anyone. I gave it one start because it would not let me publish without choosing one. However, it does not even deserve that.

I have been a patient at LSCC for over two years now, esp in the Behavioral Health floor. I am happily greeted by the receptionists at every visit and know I will be taken care of. The clinicians that I see are highly compassionate, informed and have helped me tremendously. Without all of their help I would not be where I am. So thank you to everyone on that floor. You all make a difference to your patients.
