Seemingly Good Experience Until the Bill Came; I got pretty sick and was throwing up so they gave me an IV and took a nap for two hours in one of the rooms and nothing more. They take my insurance which covers a lot of things ($0 copay on preventatives; $25 copay vists, etc) AND THEN I CONTINUE to get a $90 copay according to UHS for A BAG OF SALINE (salt water)AND A NAP; Im pretty upset. I could have and wish I just threw up on the side of the street and drank a gatorade for $2. Even had I paid the student out of pocket rate when I got sick it would have been half as much what my insurance charged me on copay. UHS is greedy and never told me about the student out of pocket rates vs insurance, I had to discover those rates online. I asked for a detailed summary of the bill and because I tried to use insurance UHS got to pocket 4 times (like they literally got more than $200 for administering a bag of salt water) as much out of my visit with no care for my personal expense being twice as much for copay when I sent the them multiple follow up emails. if I just paid everything and never handed them my insurance card I would have been better off. They dont care about your financial situation, so I would recommend asking prices before going through any treatment from them.

The health services offered by the University of Texas are phenomenal and a tremendous perk of being a student. From immunizations, wellness exams, mental health and counseling, the University Health Services is affordable and readily available for everyone on campus. The Forty Acres Pharmacy has almost everything youd need and makes getting prescriptions super easy.
