After three years of being Westbird client, I took my sick dog to the office in the morning of November 6th. The doctor in charge, barely looked at her and sent her home. Two hours later she was still acting and looking very sick, took her back to Westbird and the doctor gave her a liquid diuretic and asked us to go back home. She refused to keep her under observation. By 6:00 pm, my dog was dying. He died suffering and throwing blood through his mouth. I called the doctor and told me there was nothing else to do, and she was sorry. Ive never been treated so bad, with no regard to both the dog and my suffering. Two days later the doctor called to see how the dog was doing! He doesnt even remembered he died under his watch! On top of all, I was charged for analysis, plaques and two visits. Will never recommend that place in my life!

Dr. Martinez has been our vet for over 20 years. During that time, he has diagnosed several difficult cases. His knowledge and quick action has saved many of our pets throughout the years. A few years ago, we brought our beloved dog to him. He knew our pet needed a specialist and referred me to a trusted neurologist and they both worked together to identify the cause of the dogs illness. He even called me on the weekend and evenings to tell me about the dogs progress. Unfortunately, the diagnosis was a brain tumor that couldnt be operated on. I will forever remember how Dr. Martinez cared about both the dog and my family during that difficult time. We continue to bring all our furry family members to him!

I have been taking my cats to Dr. Martinez for over 20 years. The staff has always been wonderful and they all really like their jobs and our animals. I cannot say enough about Dr. Martinez. His gentleness and patience with my cats really showed that he loves animals. He has the sweetest way with them and it really puts them at ease. My last cat was so relaxed he thought he was having a "spa day". It made our vet trips much less stressful as he really seemed to enjoy being cared for by the doctor. I also took many strays and feral cats for different ailments and Dr. Martinez always helped me out financially with them. I love this place!

I was desperately looking for a vet to give me a second opinion on and treat one of my kitties which had a tumor in his mouth without charging me an arm and a leg. Dr. Martinez and his entire staff showed themselves to be very compassionate, friendly and reasonable when it comes to treatment costs. I have brought two of my other kitties since and both have been cured from whatever ailments they had when I brought them in. Dr. Martinez and his two other vets and their attendants are all very friendly and attentive and care for our pets as much as us. I highly recommend Westbird Animal Hospital.

Dr Martinez and his staff have taken excellent care of my 4 dogs. I have also brought him four rescue dogs I was fostering and they all received the best care. Dr Martinez is thorough in his examinations and the dogs are very much at ease with him. The office is clean and the staff is friendly. Excellent veterinary care. Affordable prices. You can tell they truly care about your animal, not about making money. Ive brought my dog here since day 1 -- my puppy had a range of flu/kennel cough type symptoms which the doctor immediately diagnosed and cured. My dog has been happy and healthy since then! Ive never had any problems with staff or service. Definitely recommend this place over others in the area!

Worst cat grooming Ive ever experienced. When I asked Dr. Martinez what happened to my cats ear, he responded "it got nicked during grooming, so we applied an anticoagulant". There was no sincere apology that followed & It wasnt even mentioned until I asked what happened during her physical exam. I still ended up paying full price for their mistake.
