If I could give no stars I would. I cant decide if the medical issue then was worth the headache now. I honestly wish I had not gone. The staff was relatively friendly, I know ER waits are long so whatever. Thats not even the issue...billing. Dear lord save me. Its been 14 months since my ER visit and I am still wasting time on the phone fixing issues that should have been taken care of when I paid it in full at the beginning. I dont have the time or space here to explain how many ways the billing department has screwed up. All I can say is if you can go elsewhere...do. Im still getting bills for things that I dont owe. I call to ask why I got the bill and they say, "sorry, I dont know why you got that." The next couple says past due. I call each time to be told its a mistake. New person every time. New person to explain the whole thing to. So much for "we record our calls". Next few bills say final notice. More calls. More "sorry, our bad". Finally get a statement saying my account is at $0.00. Only to get another brand new bill a few months later. I call, "oh sorry, mistake" new person. Here we go again. This honestly is harassment. Ive honestly never experienced a company department that sucks so bad at their only job. Im at the point where getting mad doesnt even help anymore. I guess I will just plan out 30 mins once a month on my calendar to call memorial and explain the issue all over again so I can mark "disregard" on the next bill and file it in my growing pile. Yeah, its just unbelievable.

Please dont believe the lies ppl are telling you. This is my first visit to this hospital to see if it is in fact better than Wellspan hospital and ppl must have the names mixed up when they do the review because memorial hospital is by far way worse than Wellspan hospital. I got here at 11am waited until 3pm still didnt see triage. Left for 2 hrs and came back and my name still hadnt been called yet. Left Again for another hour and half came back and finally I was number 2 to be seen next. Thank God I only was having panic attacks and needed the discharge papers at that point for my job because now that Im finally back here Ive been waiting 30 mins and counting and havent seen anyone come to my room yet. I even had to tell a nurse someone needs help because I could hear the beeping noice when someone needs help and staff is walking around like nothing is happening. Talking on cellphones and what their plans for the weekend are. I swear if I didnt need these discharge papers I would leave right out of here. I will NEVER recommend this hospital to anyone unless you want to die in the waiting room. They need negative Stars for a place like this. They need to close this hospital completely down and continue to build up on Wellspan hospital. This is purely ridiculous! So mad right now.

Horrible place. Im 44 years old and in seemingly good health, not overweight at all, exercise regularly, non smoker. After projectile vomiting, feeling a crazy "shock" like feeling shoot down both arms and passing out (first time in my life) I spent 4 days in bed before going to the ER. I could not stand for more than 1 minute at a time without extreme fatigue. While waiting in the ER, which seemed to doubling as a day care, I went outside and had to lay on the sidewalk right outside entrance for 30 minutes. No one even checked on me. I went back inside and after waiting for 2 hours was finally seen. I described this, in stages, to several nurses as they seemed to be switching and scrambling. They gave me i.v. fluids and an ultrasound for gall stones. My gall bladder was fine. The shocker was then I was asked "Do you think you are dehydrated?" WOW! No, I had been drinking Gatorade and Pedialyte prior to the ER visit. After finding out I had no insurance, the entire tone changed and I was sent on my way. Took me 2 more weeks to recover. I am now seeing a heart doctor, the fear being I had a heart attack. They never even checked my heart. Lawsuit pending..... STAY AWAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Havent dealt with the ER department but we dealt twice now with the maternity ward. The staff were knowledgeable and conscious of what we were feeling. They were very professional. I would recommend this maternity ward to everyone. It is a small, quiet ward. I hope with the new hospital the atmosphere and feeling doesnt change. We couldnt thank the nurses enough, they were kind and helpful. You could tell they love their job and profession. This is my first online review, outside of facebook, but i feel they warrant it. Im glad both my children were born at Memorial Hospital in York, PA.

Terrible ED if i could give a zero i would. the resident Dr or whatever she was disregarded everything I was feeling like I was making a big deal and the processes to tell me I couldnt have a work note to let my rib cage rest after getting kicked in my ribs multiple times. Im a nursing assistant so I push pull lift and everything thing else in the book. She made me feel like she was invalidating my feelings and Im just sooooo over this place. The only good section is maternity other than that..... STAY AWAYYYY!

I was in the emergency room for 8 hours had a tube of blood taken, exam and an ultrasound done. Received the result for none of these test, reguardless of asking several times, it took almost 2 hours to bring in pain meds. At 2am I finally made them take out my IV so I could leave. This is absolutely unacceptable! Then I call to see if maybe by this point the results are in and they tell me either my doctor has to call to get them or I have to go in and pay $.50 a page to get my results. This hospital is a joke.

Waited over 2 hours for my son to be seen for a puncture wound on his finger! 30 minute or less wait time? What a load of crap that is! Is their 30 minute or less wait time only apply to the time you check in until youve been seen by triage? Patients who came in AFTER WE arrived were seen before we were. Got fed up and left without being seen. NEVER AGAIN!!

Was very prompt to get me back to fast ER. After a brief visit from the nurse. Registration person then intern i got blessed waiting to be seen by attending doctor while a child screamed and cried. The child should have been in a private room for everyone elses comfort. Way to go ER staff. We come to be treated for illness and get stressed out.
