After many years of experience with numerous fine medical providers, I must nevertheless declare that I would trust my dentistry to ONLY DOCTOR RANDOLPH SHOUP and his assistants/techs. He and his staff are truly superb and 200/percent in every area! Dr. Shoup is an outstanding, capable professional, and actually uses only the finest equipment available in the industry. And his techniques and equipment are actually truly painless! He came with staff in the middle of the night for an emergency situaton for me once. He has the finest cleaning technician for routine care and staff. The owner of a highly-regarded laboratory for repair/replacement broken teeth, gave me Dr. Shoups name MANY YEARS ago--as the "best of the best in the industry"--"...for those people who demand only the BEST dental care." Do not take a chance when you must repair any damage--cosmetic or for safety/health and longevity. This is not a place to economize! (Yet I have learned that Dr. Shoup does his work PERFECTLY and PERMANENTLY--(often with an improvement in nature!). Thus, this is the THRIFTY/PRUDENT way to spend on your dental work} Yes, and Doctor Shoup often works with cosmetic doctors/surgeons for extensive birth defects, and so on, and counsels out-of-State-- and is tireless in his generous personal professional and financial assistance for the needy in third-world efforts. I would be proud to personally assure you of my thirty-years experiences with this extraordinary doctor, if Dr. Shoup will forward my name to you! I had listened to Dr. Shoups radio show for awhile, and was impressed by his knowledge and his practice of microscopic dentistry. I had just had my teeth cleaned by another dentist (after my longtime dentist retired). The dental assistant cleaned my teeth took x-rays. I had a badly cracked/broken tooth that the retired dentist claimed would require a crown and gum surgery, plus a newly cracked tooth. The dentist spent about 30 seconds looking in my mouth, declared I needed two crowns, shook my hand and went back to his office. So I decided it was time to call Dr. Shoup. His staff is absolutely wonderful! After a thorough exam, then later digital photos of every tooth, he told me I had periodontal disease, fillings that were leaking, and that I could have onlays instead of crowns. I also learned the other dentists assistant had not thoroughly cleaned my teeth! So Sharon took care of a GOOD cleaning, irrigation and gum treatment, and later Dr. Shoup removed my leaking old fillings (mercury!) and put in two beautiful, realistic onlays. No pain, no drilling down the two teeth for crowns, no more fillings leaking mercury, and now healthy gums. Dr. Shoup is personable, explains everything and has a great sense of humor. I just love his staff! Im glad I listened to his show! And Im glad I have a much healthier set of chompers!

Have been a customer for years but wont be returning. I called to schedule an appointment and had some questions about my costs, as my insurance plan had changed since my last visit. The person whom I spoke with was completely unhelpful. I know my plan includes one exam with x-ray and one cleaning per year. I asked to simply schedule those services. I was told I would have to pay almost $300 and then IF Anthem decides to pay the dentist office back, I would get a credit. Ive never heard of a doctor or dentist office billing this way. When I expressed concern about the policy, I was told "Insurance has changed so much lately that we really just dont do a lot with it anymore. We expect our patients to know what is covered on their insurance plans." Well... I know what is covered on my plan... I was trying to schedule those covered services. I called another local dentist and was met with an entirely different experience. It is unfortunate to loose a dentist I liked and was comfortable with, but the office policies in place are very anti-patient.

Dr Shoup and his staff take time to actually give you a true opinion on your oral health. The initial exam is MUCH different than any other dental exam you may have had in the past-- Dr Shoup is very hands on and really does a great job at explaining things that may be occurring in your life due to dental health. They will work with you based on what you can pay and what your insurance may cover. All of the staff working with Dr Shoup truly care about you as a person and gives you undivided attention while there. This office isnt like any other dental place-- there are only a few chairs so he is focused on you instead of 8 other patients.

Dr Shoup changed my thinking about dentistry. I actually look forward going to the dentist now since his treatment methods are actually comfortable and I dont have a hygienist attacking my sensitive teeth. Dr Randy has a great personality; he explains everything clearly without talking down to me. I fell asleep during my last cleaning! At my previous dentist I was wide awake and waiting for a pain point and for the cleaning to be over. No worries anymore thanks to Dr Shoup’s awesome staff.

Fantastic dental care! My entire family (from age 2-90+) goes to Dr. Shoup. Excellent staff and great care here. Dr. Shoup is an outstanding dentist and I love the care he shows and that he keeps up on new technologies and ways to help his patients. I have especially been impressed with how much care is shown to help make going to the dentist not a scary thing for my kiddos (from everyone in the office!). I honestly feel so fortunate that our family goes to this practice!

Ive been a patient of Dr. Shoups since the late 1980s. Dr. Shoup keeps up with the latest in dental technology, often being an early adopter. He and his staff are very friendly and professional. Amy at the front desk is very efficient and cheerful and Sharon is the gentlest (and sweetest) hygienist Ive ever experienced. And perhaps the best part is that they run on time! I highly recommend them!
