This place is awesome. They saved my puppy. My GS puppy was throwing up and I took him to emergency hospital where doctors were not able to find any thing on x-rays. They just gave me anti vomition medicine, but to no avail. I waited for a day without any improvement and then I brought him to Mchenry Pet Hospital. Doctors here did many tests and x-rays on him and diagnosed intestinal obstruction, and they removed two socks from his belly and then kept him hospitalized for 2 days. He is completely healthy now. I was worried that it will cost a fortune but everything was done under $950........................................................................................................... +1 I also come here for vaccinations because they offer half price vaccinations on fridays and I also refer this hospital to all my friends and family. ................................ +1 Staff is excellent, they answered my phone all the time or called back immediately. Update: I take my dogs there all the time for vaccinations and routine care. Everyone is nice there. I dont have any complaints. They send me reminders for vaccinations and then call me one day before visit so that I dont forget and they dont even charge me anything if somehow I could not visit and cancel my appointment.

We have been going to McHenry Pet Hospital and Dr. Brar ever since Dr. Shakir left Riverside. We have nothing but praise for the Dr., staff and facility. They have helped us through a loss of our cat and the now welcoming of a new kitten to our family. Most recently, our American Bulldog, Pink was limping and favoring her right leg. We thought she had just sprained it, however, as it did not heal we took her to see Dr. Brar. She ended up needing an extensive surgery called TPLO where the ligament she had ruptured in her right knee was effectively bypassed and replaced with a metal plate. Now (less than 6 months later) you cant even tell she ever had a problem. Dr. Brar and his staff were caring and provided excellent instruction on at home care to help in her healing process. Within 6 weeks she used her leg as she had before the problem had arose. We are amazed and so grateful! She now runs and plays with our other American Bulldog with no problems at all. Thanks, Dr. Brar!!

My mother referred this clinic after a great experience there. I have agree with her. The staff are warm, welcoming and friendly. The vet was informative and spent the time to explain procedures and options. The facility leaves a bit to be desired, driving by it looks like a little hole in the wall place. I would never have stopped there except my mother recommended the vet. Looks can be deceiving, the facility is clean and tidy on the inside. Like any vet visit cost is always a factor. This facilities prices for neutering, vaccinations and microchipping are far less than any other vet I have visited in the past. I had a very good experience here. I will bring my pets here for care as long as I live in this area. Thank you for reading!

In the last three minutes before Our dog was ready to go she got hurt on her right side with a gash. My husband brought her to McHenry Pet Animal Hosipital and they could not help out right away and he would have had to leave her with no guarantee when they will get to her that evening or the next morning per the vet, but they let him know how much $. He immediately picked her up and took her to Fox Lake Animal Hospital and they had to perform surgery on her. They cleaned it out and up and put a small drainage tube in the wound with stitches. The tube will come out on Monday if all is okay and the stitches in two weeks. She will be on an antibiotic and a anti-inflammatory. . Poor thing, what a homecoming.

I had a wonderful visit with McHenry Pet Hospital. The Staff were friendly and answered all my questions. I am going through a difficult financial time and took advantage of the half priced Friday vaccination. The vet was super kind and encouraged questions. He was willing to spend a little extra time to make sure we were happy. Tashi my Lhasa was as relaxed as the vet was very gentle. Thank you to the staff for making his visit affordable and fun! We will be back!

Dr. Brar is awesome. So compassionate and kind. I drive quite a long way to see him with my precious cats. I was introduced by a friend who to rescue cats to him and he treated them and barely charged her anything. I wanted to support a vet who is willing to give back to unfortunate animals. Also. Half price shots several days a week. Again. Putting animals first.

Would write a 0 star if possible was told they take friends of animals certificates and it would cost $15. Turns out after I paid $110 for the certificate and then tried to schedule the appointment they decided to tell me its an extra $109. This didnt include any shots I would need. How is $300 a discount spay or neuter program. Total scam. NEVER GOING HERE AGAIN.

This was my first time at the hospital. My dog was very sick unfortunately. My baby was so sick i had to put her down. The campassion. the vet and staff were sooo wonderful and let me have as much. time with my dog at end just meant. So much to our family.thank you to anne green and staff

Our furry kids have been patients since the 1st month they opened and have been thrilled. We have older pets with increasing health issues but Dr. B is always very reassuring and attentive to our pets needs. The staff is wonderful and friendly. Fridays they have half off vaccinations.

Just brought our dogs here first time for annual check ups and shots. Everyone was very helpful, kind, knowledgable, & attentive. Great deal on weekday shots along with appointments and great service! Dr. Brar was great! Highly recommend!
