I took my old english bulldog to this location twice before deciding to never go back. We had originally been patients of the Mokena, IL location where Banfield had been excellent! We moved and needed to make the switch to the Crystal Lake location. On our first visit we waited nearly 30 minutes in the lobby while all the other rooms were empty and the vet techs chatted behind the counter. It took the vet to come out of the back and place us in a room. The visit seemed rushed for it being so empty. On our next visit my pup had an penile infection. They took him from me into the back to clean it out before prescribing him medicine and sending us home. On the ride home I could tell he exhausted. Vet visits usually tire him out so I didnt think much of it. About an hour later he started to cry. He couldnt lay down, and eventually the pain got so bad he fell over and couldnt stand back. I had to rush him to the emergency vet at 2am! The emergency vet said that he was in severe pain from his visit to Banfield. The staff at Banfield did not preform the procedure properly and he should not be in such pain from what should have been a simple procedure. They literally were so rough with him that they cut his penis! I needed to have my dogs tail amputated last year, and he wasnt even in as much pain for that as he was with this. NEVER will my dog or any of my pets be back to this location. I would suggest you spend the extra money to take you beloved pets to a real veterinary clinic.

Horable place to bring your animal. I bought the wellness plan for my two dogs thinking it would save me money and be more beneficial to their health. You can see the Doctor as many times as you want with no sitting fee. Big mistake!!! Everytime I bring my dog in for the simplest alignment, for instance I walk out paying $500.00 or more. All I ever hear is we need to run this test and this test, the whole time the bill is adding up. Then they tell you with the wellness program you get a discount on all medication and services. I compared there services with my old vet. Banfield across the board charged three times as much for EVERYTHING!!!! Do yourself a favor, and your pet!!!! Go back to a local hometown vet. You will pay a sitting fee, but you will walk out knowing the true diagnoses for your pet, with a fraction of what Banfield claims they are giving you a discount on.The hometown vet can give you a true diagnoses by examining your pet without all the costly test that Banfield guilts you in to doing on your pet. I really feel that the vets at Banfield are like used car salesmen. They try and guilt you in to buying unnecessary prescriptions at an inflated price for your animal. When you can get them on the web for a fraction of the cost. Do yourself a favor and your pet. Do NOT GO TO BANFIELD!!!!

If I could give no star I would. I have never seen such neglect, selfishness, and rude behavior from the Drs ever in my life. i was there for 5 hours the other day and spent $500. I take my cat home and he ends up getting explosive diarrhea to from the food that was prescribed to him by the doctor. I then called to make an appointment to get him groomed because hes covered in poop. Come to find out I cant because his rabies vaccination is expired!!! Why was I not told this when I was just at the vet 4 days ago??? I cannot get this poop off my cat until I get his rabies done. So now I have to pay for a office fee because you guys dont actually care to tell me whats due right now??? Absolutely not. I called in and talked to a Dr and all he did was argue with me. It got to the point that I hung up on him. Do not ever go to the place. I have been going here for 3 years because the prices arent too awful. You are getting what you are paying for. They didnt even know my cats name. They kept calling him Tiger!! His name is clearly Walter.

AVOID AT ALL COSTS! Brought out beloved dog there on Monday and she passes away 5 days later. They told us she was in great shape even though we had concerns, she lost weight within months, stopped eating, sleeping a lot, but NO, nothing. Her body went into shock, weak heart rate, fluid on her stomach and we couldnt save her! Our hearts are broken and we trusted them. When we called to let them know, they didnt even care. We cancelled our wellness fee for the month and they actually stated we still had to pay it!! After discussions they waived it.

Ive had my dog in Petsmart healthcare program, love it, worth every penney. I receive reminders via telephone and email (and I need them). Staff is super kind to me and to my dog. Dr. is extremely thorough. They always do next day follow-up calls. About to call the office and just noticed some of the reviews (with at little as 1 star) and dont get it. Ive the staff/drs with other animals ~20 and I have nothing but good them say. Also, my little dog drank my daughters Ibuprofen and couldt have been happier with the care.

I took my Yorkie there to get some teeth taken out they said everything was good before surgery.I picked her up and when I woke up she was dead.I should have never taken her there she would still be with me.they still charged for everything.I miss my girl so much.very heartbroken.I do not recommend them at all

Horrible place i went in to cut cats nails and i got denied twice because they are acraid of the animal.yea look for a different job you dont know what your doing and dont know to do the job properly never in my life i will go to this place. Stay away from this Banfield
