Ive been taking my pets to Dr. McClure at Strong for probably 20 years. Over that time, Ive had 3 cats and a dog. He and the staff have always been very helpful, understanding and FAIR. I dont really know how to compare prices, but believe that I have always been charged fairly and I have no reason to believe they ever recommended unnecessary procedures. A few specific examples of their actions follow for your consideration before making an appointment anywhere else: -New pet and general wellness checks have ALWAYS been a positive experience. A short wait in the lobby, followed by a friendly greeting and weigh-in before the exam. A gentle review from head to tail by the doctor and a reasonable bill for the services. (Annual shot boosters cost more, of course, but thats not the vets fault.) -Emergency trips. I had a cat who was diagnosed with diabetes. He had to stay for a few nights to get regulated but then lived on. Strong taught me how to inject the insulin (2x a day) in a way that didnt even phase my cat. My buddy had an extended quality of life for another two years due to the help of Strong. -Troubleshooting. When I wasnt sure how to deal with a critters behavior, Dr. McClure let me borrow his book on the topic and return it upon my next visit. I didnt come in often, but he didnt mind and said he would buy a new one if he needed it before I was able to return it. -End of life. The worst day for a pet parent. Dr McClure and his staff provided kind hearts and a respectful environment. They did the injections (I chose to be present) and allowed me time to say goodbye before carefully taking the "shell" of my fur baby away. They followed up with a card signed by the entire staff. Thats class. Needless to say, Id recommend this vet. My experience has been quality, compassionate care at a fair price. I hope you find the same wherever you may go.

I have been bringing my pets (dogs and cats) for nearly 20 years, but would rate them only as FAIR. During this time, I have noted a definite decline in service, and the current front desk staff have definite attitude problems (not just a one-time thing), which has also been noticed by my family members as well as a close friend who originally recommended Strong to us - until the ongoing rudeness of the staff eventually caused him to storm out, vowing never to return to this practice. Even now, there is one helpful person I ask for by name when I call, to circumvent the rest. Yet all the techs I have dealt with there seem gentle and caring - and since they are the ones who spend the most time with the pets and answer most of my questions, that is the ONLY reason I return with my pets. Even the docs are becoming so-so, rushing you thru each appointment and not giving you any time for follow-up questions unless you really push. Additionally, they will not accept any payment arrangements on any kind of major expense (and will be very snobby with you when you ask.) When I brought a pet in for an unexpected $600 procedure, I asked about payment plans - I was told I could pay in 2 payments - 1/2 in the morning of surgery and the other 1/2 in the afternoon. My pets are all becoming elderly and once they are gone, I will be seeking a new practice for any future pets. Sad to say from a 20-year client.

The health of the Huron Scuba "security team" is trusted to Dr. Kimberly Bolduc. Elvis (Pomeranian) had some issues that needed professional attention. The pricing I received was incredible, the level of care that Dr. Bolduc showed for him from the minute she saw him was awesome. It is very obvious that she loves animals and more importantly understands how important they are to their adoptive parents. I got 2 pre-surgery phone calls, one from the office and one from the vet, I then got a call with all the details from the vet (not a tech, the vet!) the moment Elvis was up and around. Due to his age, I was very worried but they did a great job and have helped extend a happy, healthy life for the most important little man on my team. Thank you so much Dr. Bolduc. And to note, the office staff were all efficient, thorough and very professional.

We have been coming to Strong for the past 15 years and have always had a great experience. Staff is knowledgeable and will always try to help you over the phone before having you come in. Dr. Duff is one of our favorite doctors however all of the doctors have always been very professional and always make me feel like I have their undivided attention. I also feel that their rates for exams and testing are reasonable. I would recommend this business to anyone who wants to ensure their pets get the best care possible.

Horrible vet, the manager up front acts like she owns the world because she makes 12 bucks an hour and can process payments. The doctors misdiagnose animals. This is also the vet who used expired products that were still banned by most other vets that ended up getting animals sick and some dying. Stay far away they are very expensive on top of it all.

I decided to give Strong a try when I got my puppy because I had heard good things about it from other people. I have to say, I love this place :) My dog is now 3, and were still going to Strong. The staff is really nice and the vets are fantastic. Everyone genuinely loves and cares for animals here. Everyone is really honest and helpful.

Ive been to many vets and even though they seem high priced, so are most other places...sadly, animals are NOT carried under Blue Cross/Blue Shield...or HAP...so when you have animals its going to cost you at times. I like pretty much everyone Ive dealt with there so far.

Caring, compassionate staff that works together to offer the best medical treatment for my babies. The doctors are knowledgeable and friendly, the technicians are very well trained, and the front desk staff is efficient and warm. I highly recommend Strong Vet Hospital!

If the front desk staff acted as if they cared or that my being there paid their salaries, perhaps this would be a 5? First impressions are a tell l, and the front desk staff is telling me they dont care if I every come back. Customer 101 is a must for these ladies.

Dr. Duff is amazing and the techs are very nice. The only reason this isnt a 5 star review is because the front desk staff were not very professional at all. I was barely acknowledged and one of the girls was carrying on a personal conversation my entire visit.

The Doctors and the entire staff have hearts of gold. They have always been professional and knowledgeable. Ive been bringing my pets here for over 20 years, and I feel lucky that I found such a caring clinic. I highly recommend Strong Veterinary Clinic!

We started taking our Lab to Strong s at the beginning of this year when she suddenly got sick. They have been wonderful, even checking up on her to see how shes doing. They are very compassionate and reasonably priced. Im so glad we found them!
