HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE!!! Came in as a walk in and I specifically asked the lady to please check if my husband was covered under the insurance for the exam and if he wasnt then he was NOT going to do it...it would only be my daughters. She said ok and then called me back and said " Ok hes covered and its 10 dollars for him". So my daughters and my husband go back get their exams and their prescriptions. I pay my 10 bucks walk out and go over next door to Lenscrafters. All of sudden the lady follows me into the store next door and says " I need you to come back so I can explain something to you". So I walked back over and in front of a full office of patients she says loudly " I just checked again and your husband isnt covered so you owe us 75 dollars". So I said " well thats not my problem, I asked you to check and you said he was good and then you charged me 10 bucks and I left. Thats your job to make sure before hand not mine". She gets upset and says " well he saw the Dr so you have to pay" ....I said well bill me because Im not paying 75 bucks". ...she tells me " well then give me his prescription back" .....I just walked out back to the store next door because I was in the middle of getting glasses for my kids and when I turned around she went to the guy that was helping us and took my husbands prescription back !!!!!". So I got pissed off and walked back over to her office and told her to refund me my 10 bucks and she made the most sarcastic face....the lady next to her very quietly says..."ok I will refund the money.".....Soooooo if your looking to waste your time on a Saturday with rude- ignorant- poorly trained- unprofessional people....this is the place for you!! Absolutely rediculous! !!!!

Have you ever felt like you were interrupting something, or just an inconvenience to someone? Dr. Winfrey rushed through my appointment, I dont believe she even introduced herself or asked how I was doing or for my name. No manners. Maybe a doctor would rush through a walk in appointment that got squeezed in but I had an appointment made well in advance and there didnt seem to be anyone waiting in the lobby after me. I wont be back. I used to really like this place. Oh and the quoted me that my visit would be around $101 $60 and it was over $200, granted I spent a little on contact lenses (my insurance covered most of the cost ) plus a $39 additional exam to check for cancer and retina health (that Dr. Winfrey was supposedly going to go over with me, she spent all of five seconds at it since she was in such a rush to be done with me) on contact lenses but still that is way more than I was made to anticipate. My real gripe is the service, I wouldnt complained if I "got what I paid for" but I feel that I didnt...time to find a new optometrist.

Miss from start to finish. Had a 10am appointment, but that evidently didnt fit the staffs schedule as they didnt open the doors until 10:15. Irritating but forgivable. Whats not forgivable is the immensely sleazy way they bilk another $70 for a couple retina pictures. They perform this as part of the exam then tell you if you want the images read its going to cost an extra $70. Ethically, this is very dubious on multiple levels. First, if youre going to obtain diagnostic information you have an obligation to the patient to correctly interpret and report that data. You dont perform the exam then hold the results for ransom. Its clearly a cash grab and, frankly, worth reporting to the optometry certification board. Second, it reeks of bait and switch. I wouldnt have as much of a problem with their specious practices if they were honest from the moment of check-in, but thats not how they operate. Not a place Id ever return or recommend.

Staff was VERY unprofessional. Somehow my mothers appointment was "cancelled" and thus staff (Loren) stated "we dont have to see you" even after explaining that I had traveled 2.5 hours for this appointment. After about 45 minutes Dr. Winfrey was courteous to see my mother however she was rushed because it was about to be closing time. I understand if I had cancelled the appointment, but clearly I didnt cancel the appointment. It was the staffs mistake and they did not want to acknowledge it or even offer an apology. This is sad because Ive had excellent service in the past, but it seems like other customers have had this experience. Never coming here again!

Dr. Winfrey was so knowledgeable about my vision issues. She appears as old as a high school student, but was so awesome on how she explained my vision problem. She was very patient with all my questions, and was extreamly knowledgable with my options for correcting my vision. My problem is called presbiopia where my age is affecting my ability to focus clearly. It mainly affects my ability to read small print. She offered me some new contact lenses that felt great and most importantly, I could see clearly and read everything. I would recommend Dr. Winfrey to anyone seeing an eye doctor in the N. Side of S.A. I will certainly return next year.

LOve going to this office because I love the latest technology equipment they use. The doctors are absolutely fabulous and I never have felt rushed while being there. They are puctual, thorough, caring and trustworthy type of doctors doing quality exams. If you are looking for a great eye doctors office, then you are in luck. This staff will not let you down and i highly recommend them to you. Thanks SAEP!!! keep up the great work you do cause I will be sending all my friends and family there!

Exceptional!! I really felt like this office was concerned about me as a patient. The staff was very friendly and informative. They gave me all the information about my insurance so I didnt have to, (since technically its your responsibility) and the tech answered all my questions. I felt like the doc was thorough and took their time. He gave me my diagnosis and explained my options. They even had a deal on my contacts. Highly recommended and will definitely return!! After going in to get my kids eye exams i must say the process was really fast and the staff was great!!!! I spoke to the doctor and she handled my kids and they felt comfortable with her and that made me feel at ease. After the exam was done the staff helped us out and we were on our way...i give it FIVE ***** rating i was very happy with the service and i will always return to a place my kids feel comfortable in thank SAN ANTONIO EYE PROFESSIONALS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

My experience here was nothing short of amazing. The front desk was friendly, fast, and informative and the doctor was extremely kind and answered any questions or concerns I had regarding my eyes. One of the staff members named Lauren took my vitals and was extremely kind and made me feel comfortable. I have recommended this office to many friends and family members. I will definitely be returning for my future optical needs!:)
