I went to Aspen Dental on a whim because I have been having a lot of mouth pain caused by my wisdom teeth coming in. My general dentist didnt have availability and Aspen dental was the 1st available appointment I could get. So I received an email that says please come 15 minutes early to do paperwork. So I arrive 15 minutes early and theres no receptionist so I stand at the desk for 15 minutes. Finally the receptionist comes, she is extremely rude, does not say sorry and just hands me paperwork. I fill it out quickly and then sit and wait for another 30 minutes. My boyfriend was getting irritated and he asked what the wait was about, the receptionist then said that I was late, which was a lie. I then go up to the desk and inform her that I was there 15 minutes earlier and she was the one that was not there . So then they take me back immediately and the x-rays start. The X-ray technician then says "You can call your dad back to look at the x-rays." I said "My dad?" She said yes that guy you are with. I told her that was my boyfriend (who is in his mid 30s, and Im in my mid 20s). She proceeds to say "Your boyfriend?! Oh my god, how old is he?!" I was disgusted by what she said and told her it isnt a big deal. Then the rest of the appt she kept saying "youre just a baby." The dentist comes back and I tell her Ive been having pain, she said "hows your eyesight" I said fine and then she said my wisdom teeth should not be hurting me. At the end of the appointment I go to Check-out. They make me wait in the waiting Room for another 15 minutes until I got to the desk and told them I had to get to work. They promptly take me after that. They tried to get me to schedule with their oral surgeon who is not in my Insurance network. They told me it would be almost $1500 to only get 2 removed. I then informed her that they were impacting and my insurance will cover it 100% if theyre impacting. She tells me that the dentist said they were not impacting, which I knew was a lie because my previous dentist already told me they were. So I finally get a referral to go to an oral surgeon of my choice. and I told him that Aspen Dental said that there should not have been any pain caused by my teeth and they were not impacting. He actually laughed and told me just by looking at the X-ray anyone would be able to tell that they are impacting and he said that he can tell they are causing me pain. Aspen dental is the WORST most unprofessional office Ive ever been to. I have told everyone about my experience. The dentists there are incompetent and do not care about the patients well-being. They will just lie to get as much money in there pocket as possible. NEVER going back, did not even want to leave one star.

I have been debating posting anything at all for a couple of weeks and finally decided I needed to share my experience. As a well educated Man, I am well versed on what it takes to run a business, and to run it successfully. With that being said, I have never experienced such chaos, such rudeness and such unprofessionalism as I did in this mechaniscsburg aspen dental office. On my first visit, I saw a lady dentist. Jagrutu Desai. I only know her name because I called back after I left to get it. She was preoccupied, wasnt friendly and something about her was forced and not genuine at all. I felt like dollar signs to her, and she made me feel uncomfortable. She told me I needed a deep cleaning when I was just at the dentist 6 months prior. I was also told that I wasnt scheduled for my cleaning that day, which perturbed me to my limit. Then a pleasant young lady, the blonde hygienist came in and told me she was going to check my gums. She did and told me that I didnt need a deep cleaning because my levels didnt indicate a need for that. Which made much more senste to me. She told me she would do her best to get me in that day for my cleaning. I then went to see the office manager, Lisa Workinger, who was by far, the most snippy, condescending and rude woman I have ever met. Disorganized and frazzled doesnt even begin to describe this woman. She took a phone call during our little meeting, and I have never heard an office manager talk so rudely to a patient over the phone. Cringeworthy. Appalling. The hygienist (Carrie) eventually came back up and told me she could do my cleaning. During my cleaning, I heard someone yelling all the way at the front at someone else. I believe it was a patient, and the hygienist apologized for what was going on. After my cleaning, the hygienist was answering my questions and going over some things with me, and I kid you not, that Jagruti Desai came into her room, interrupted her and made her leave the room to go check another patient. Carrie mentioned that she would be there in a second and that dr said she needed her to go there now, and that she would take over from here. I was so turned off, and that was the final straw for me. It was all about moving on to the next one, regardless if she was done or not. Very rude and unprofessional. I had witnessed enough and I made the decision right there that I wouldnt be back again. You people need to get it together, focus on the patient and not the money. Learn how to treat employees, because they all look miserable and stressed. Take it from a man who knows how to run a successful business.

Offers no emergency services and despite several different claims that they are there to help and to just call or stop by on their website calling their toll-free emergency line or the office phone number, during the hours directed to do so, only results in being funneled to an answering machine where you are told to call back when they are open. I suppose that counts, as long as you have an emergency only while they are open and dont have someone scheduled. Very disappointed- update your online info Aspen. Will not give them any more of my money. EDIT: I feel it is important to note that 9 months ago got $10,000 worth of work done at this office. The issue I am currently having is that one of the $750 crowns that they put in has come loose and will surely be lost in the next day o 2. I finally got someone through the office number and when telling them the issue I had I was informed that it would cost me about $100 for them to do all new xrays and perform another exam and then maybe JUST MAYBE they would be able to take the 3 minutes required to pull and recement the tooth that THEY put in and has not even lasted a single year. When I asked who I talk to and what I do to get my money back for what is apparently shoddy work I was told... wait for it... that they couldnt even consider offering a refund until/unless I paid them $100 for a new exam and xrays- sensing a theme here? As I previously said, they will get no more money from me ever: Im absolutely done with these crooks. YOU ARE BETTER OFF BEATING YOUR OWN TEETH OUT WITH A HAMMER THEN WASTING YOUR TIME, MONEY, AND SANITY DEALING WITH ASPEN DENTAL.
