I was in lasting hope and it was the worst experience of my life. The nurses were rude and if you had questions they acted like you were bothering them. When I did see a psychiatrist as we were talking, he got paged so never finished talking about why I was there. Later that night I found out he had done a med change without even discussing it with me. He had no I idea why I had come there let alone that I had bipolar disorder. The medication he he prescribed for me was not even safe fore to take. It would have thrown me straight into mania. Also the classes were ridiculous they had no staff to teach true psych and behavioral classes. Run from this hospital. Go to Immanuel, UNMC or Mercy in Council Bluffs. They all have good Doctors, techs and good helpful classes. Avoid Lasting Hope at all costs. I have been to all 4 hospitals so I know what Im talking about!

I stayed at Lasting Hope to get control of my medications. I had a horrible experience there. The nurses werent clear on what medication I was taking. They werent helpful in answering any questions I had. They basically treated us like we were children when I was in an adult hall. We were forced to go to groups that were suppose to "help" us such as; Bingo, watching childrens movies, and singing. I got a phone call from a loved one and they wouldnt let me call them back because we were watching a cartoon. I hardly ever got to see the doctor. When the doctor was actually in I had to frequently remind her to meet with me. When I did meet with the head psychiatrist she was very rude to me. I decided to check my self out. Not to mention the food was unbareable and I couldnt eat the whole time I was there.

they dont help once you leave and their outpatient "help" is crap. they tell you to call safe harbor, but only once did that help, the place is full of bugs, the help is such crap, the let patients upset others by letting them scream for hours even after we complained. The staff sucks, they are of no help and the place is dirty, you never get the food you request. They put you on the wrong meds and it is so dirty there my socks would be black on the bottom and I had centipedes in my room. Worthless worthless worthless crap hole

Worse than words can describe. Prison would be better and safer than this facility! Dangerous and psychotic patients are allowed to roam freely among all the patients. Limited or NO food. Food that is provided is of poor quality and not dietarily sufficient or appropiate, unless you like sugar, fat and carbs. Poor quality Doctor attention and overall care. Power hungry mongering staff who enjoy having and using unnecessary excessive control over patients. I wouldnt put my dog in here! I would rate negative stars if possible!

I WAS IN LASTING HOPE FOR THREE DAYS IN DEC. 2015 I HIGHLY RECOMMED THERE SEVICES!!!!!! I WANT TO RECONIZE DR. BRUNS FOR HIS HELP AND CONCERN IWAS SO DRUGGED UP WHEN IGOT ADDMITED AND TOOK ME OFF ALL THE MEDS. AND ONLY PUT ME ON SMALL AMOUNTS LEXAPRO ABILIY AND KLONOPIN NOW IM SEEEING A PRIVATE THEAPIST MANY THANKS TO DR. BRUNS !!!!! I AM DOING VERY WELL THANK- YOU VERY FOR YOURE IF I EVER NEED SERVES AGIAN IL;L BE BACK !!!!

I was sent from the ER to here and I have never been treated with such disrespect and malice. The over weight woman running desk was immediately hostile I was essentially treated like a concentration camp victim and that woman should seriously reconsider how she handle other human beings and her job choice I WANTED TO KILL MYSELF EVEN MORE AFTER BEING THERE.
