If you are not wealthy by any means, please take your animals elsewhere. If you arent wealthy like everyone else in Stonebridge they will take advantage of you and take your money. We took our cat in because I noticed she started peeing outside of her liter box and was drinking excessive water. First, they prescribed an antibiotic that was apparently just a guessing game to see if it worked. Of course they failed to mention this until after we paid $400 plus another visit for my cats check up. Because that medicine didnt work, they wanted to send in a sample to the lab. So we forked out another $200 and they said call us back in 4 days and we will have the results. So I called back in 4 business days and they basically had NO IDEA what I was talking about!!! So the lady told me, they would call me when it came in. Now over a month later we hadnt heard anything, so my husband called up there and again they acted like they had no clue about anything. Apparently they never got the fax in from the lab result but they did have the results in their database, but failed to call us like they said they would and then tried to blame my husband and I for it!!! I am beyond pissed at Stonebridge Animal Hostpital for taking advantage of people who dont have a whole lot of money. So to anyone reading this review, please take your business elsewhere. Side note; we took our dogs there to update their shots because they were going to be boarded a few weeks later while we were on vacation. I knew I should have questioned it when they wouldnt let us be with our dogs when they administered the shots because when we got them back from boarding, they had kennel cough! With having vaccines that are only a few weeks old, I feel they should not have gotten kennel cough that easily. So now Im wondering if they even gave them their shots. Please do not waste your money at this vet clinic.

I took my toy poodle there today for a mass on her tail. I had assumed she would need surgery. Her dental check showed infection in her gums. She needs two procedures. I inquired about the cost because we are on a budget and was quoted 1100-1300. I didnt sign the first document for surgery or see the first quote (I immediately asked about cost) and they had already taken blood and given her pre-op medicine. I cannot fathom a practice without some sort of procedure for quoting prices especially prices that exceed a few hundred dollars. I could hardly breath I was so upset because I couldnt pay a thousand dollars. I apologized and said I couldnt do anything more that day. They then tried to charge me for things they had begun! Who begins surgical procedures without talking about $$$$???? Especially when I made it very known I needed to know the cost. When I explained I was waiting for a quote and asked why they would have started so quickly the Dr raised his voice at me and said I could never return. Ive never even written a review of a business but I can tell you this Dr was demeaning and rude and unprofessional to a pet mom who was truly sorry she couldnt afford the procedure.

Spend roughly $800 here in a week for shots for our puppies and to see what was wrong with our cat. Had to pay $150 for samples to be taken to the lab, and they said call in a week. We called back in a week and they were clueless on what was happening, and said they call us when the results arrived. NEVER CALLED. I called back a month later to see what was going on and the receptionist blamed the fax machine by saying it never printed the results but it was in the database. THEY DONT CARE ABOUT ANIMALS ENOUGH TO CHECK THE DATABASE ON LAB RESULTS ONLINE. Asked for a refund and she said she cant control what the Lab Company does. Well I cant control irresponsible, incompetent workers. With my dogs, they took him to the back to do shots, and they were both done in about three minutes. Had to ask if they actually gave them they were done so fast. Two weeks later took them to boarding and they came back with kennel cough, WHICH IS WHAT THE SHOTS WERE FOR. I do not believe they ever gave them shots. DONT TRUST THIS VET. THEY ARE SNAKES THAT ARE OUT TO GET YOUR MONEY AND COULD CARELESS ABOUT YOUR ANIMALS.

Took 2 dogs in for a skin problem. Was there for 2 hours because they were understaffed that day. After running tests for unrelated problems, my bill ended up being 741$. I asked the woman on the front why my bill was so high and she told me I was being rude for asking. How do you charge someone almost 800 bucks and not mention cost at any point? I asked if I could pay half this week and run the cc the other half next week and they refused. I asked if I could post date a check, again they refused. The vet seemed nice enough but his staff seemed as dumb as my dogs. Bottom line If you choose to do business here make sure to ask how much they are charging you for each of the things they are doing and get an explination why. It seems very shady when you are charged over 300$ for testing for heartworms, etc when my dogs were there for a skin issue. I wouldnt pay my mechanic for engine testing when all I needed was a tire. Then again even my mechanic tells me a price before he does the work!

Stonebridge Animal Hospital is everything you could ask for when looking for the best care for your pets. Referred to them through a DFW PUG Rescue group, I knew they had to be the right place for my Pug. Prone to respiratory issues my baby was suffering allergies and a very bad cold just after moving here from California. I needed a doctor that knew his breed. My sweet boy recovered quickly and Dr. Mapes welcomed my other two PUGS and our Beagle as well. We are fans for sure and we trust our furbabies in their hands! Their staff is very patient and kind and very professional! We love them and we trust them with the lives of our furbabies.

We love the staff at Stonebridge Animal Hospital and Dr. MAPES. I found Dr. Mapes during a very emotional and traumatic time when my precious male cat of 14 years was in dire straits. Dr. Mapes was so incredibly compassionate and knowledgeable. He helped us through so much with two of my most beloved babies. He continues to be our trusted Vet for our newly adopted kittens. I have had animals all my life and I have to say that Dr. MAPES and his wonderful, loving, compassionate staff is the best place I have ever found for the care of my pets, which are of course family! Thank you Dr. Mapes and to your awesome staff.

I cannot possibly say enough great things about Dr Ed Mapes and his staff! They are completely awesome. I have three active Labs that find their way to the vet fairly often and each time they truly love the experience and the staff, and I know the staff loves them as well -- it is obvious! That goes a long way to creating a great relationship! I drive 45 minutes each way, passing untold numbers of other vets along the way because I want the best for my pets and for myself. Never a hassle, never a line or waiting, always polite, quick, professional. Simply the best! Thanks guys! Mike and Molly, Tyler, Dexter
